First state's official language as hindi- Bihar, U.p , jharkhand, m.p, chhattisgarh, hariyana, himachal Pradesh, uttrakhand, rajasthan, delhi.
2nd state's official language as hindi- maharastra , Gujarat , goa, w. Bangal, punjab, orrisa {marathi ,gujarati ,bangali and konkani or odiya is sister language of hindi because alphabet are same and script are also same}, Sikkim, and Some N.E States.
So in india 70% population can write in hindi and 80 % population speak in hindi...
Only tamilnadu banned hindi in any stream,( punitive state)

Over 35, 40 years ago, very few people in the south or even East India, understood or spoke Hindi. Most Indian languages were and are mutually unintelligible, so they relied on an Indian version of English to communicate with each other! But now, due in most part to Bollywood and the wide dispersion of jobs, most people speak and/or understand Hindi/Urdu (although many do not know that many words they speak are actually Urdu. That is because Bollywood loves Urdu.)

South ke schools me Hindi optional hoti he. Jo chahe pad sakte he, interest nahi to waha ka local language leke pad sakte he. Lekin koi ek Indian language aur English ki padai to cumpolsory hoti he. Mere opinion me acha system he. Mumbai tho India ka subse congested aur heavy traffic wala city he, jaha tak mera experience he. Traffic ka koi solution nahi. Lekin aaj kal south India mein bade cities bhi Mumbai jesa ban rahe he, afsos.

In schools, children study, Language of their State, Hindi, and English.indian (States are formed on linguistic basis.)
Besides this each State encourages its students to study the language and culture of one more State. For example: I live in Haryana. Haryana has officially decided that it's students familiarize themselves with Telgu . My grandkids know sprinkling of Telgu too.

6:48 Not only Karthikeyan, 99.9% Tamilians do not need to learn Hindi it is only those who go out of state to live in north they will have to learn hindi, (in interviews it is only English is used for hiring) and it will be fun to hear Tamilian speaking hindi (first of all they say yindi), kana kavo (for khana khavo), toda toda (for thoda thoda). Since Tamil has got only 30 alphabets (12 vowels +18 consonants) something like English there is no way to write or read soft and heavy literals for example in Tamil ka, kha, ga, gha is written only as KA there is no variation in writing but when speaking they can change the pronunciation exactly like we do in English C in Cell is pronounced as 'S'(ell) where as the same C in Cancel is pronounced as 'K'(cancel) but not S(ancel). The thing is it is only those can write/Read Tamil correctly who already know how to speak Tamil. Similarly Tamilians read first or 3rd note of the letter usually it is where khana is read/spoken as kana. (ka is first, kha is second, ga is 3rd). Padma is read as Bathma, Ambika is read as AMBIGA. unless they listen words from other languages few times about the correct pronunciation they end up with first or third note. I think it is vice versa for Hindi speakers pronouncing Tamil words properly. to be honest both of them don't need to learn each other language unless they go to live in the respective states. For your information TamilNadu always seen in top 3 performing states mainly on GDP, Health care etc. So Hindi is not must to have in TamilNadu unless one has to sell pani puris to north indian visitors. I had to learn Hindi on my own interest since I worked in New Delhi for about 3 years, so that makes sense for me to learn. for the past 15 years huge number people from north particularly Bihar, UP, Orissa and even from North Eastern seven sister states are working in TamilNadu particularly on construction sites, roadways, tunnels since TamilNadu produces more IT and white collar guys with highest literacy rate there are no local people available to do these odd jobs, to fill the gap people are hired from north for them it is good earning and those guys speak broken Tamil.

Traffic in Mumbai is very systematic.
In three-lane roads, at traffic light, you would see only three lines of vehicles. In Delhi, in such a situation, you can count six rows of vehicles in a three-lane road.
On Mumbai, you find vehicles with scratches either in front or at the rear. In Delhi, vehicles get scratched on the sides more often.

I as a person who travels to Goa regularly have not understood why this person had to take the Pune Bangalore highway via Kolhapur increasing his journey by nearly 200 kms when he could have just stuck to the straight Mumbai Goa highway which is clearly visible on the map shown at the start.

@iman When you ferment milk it becomes curd. When you churn curd hard you get butter out of it. What is left is buttermilk. So basically buttermilk is curd minus the butter.
