Totally hear Jin when he says "Screw the Agency!!!". Despite giving them careers, the success of BTS is 90% the 7 members doing. To have endured 10 successful years together is quite an achievement in itself. Their drive and commitment to excellence got them to where they are today. Unfortunately, they must be tied up with the agency when they signed up from the beginning. It's what is, the Agency needs them as much as they need the Agency however let it be known that Bangtan became a multi millionaire through the blood, sweat and tears of the 7 members. They are, by any doubt, South Koreas most successful, popular and world recognised boy band.

It's clearly good advice, as it worked! Jin's place in the band can NEVER be underestimated!

As I watch more clips of BTS and read more comments, I’m starting to believe this more and more. BTS keep saying they want to go for 20-30+ more years. I read comment saying they believe BTS will truly never “disband”. They’ll carry on with their lives and families while still being a group without the superficial title “disband” . I truly believe they won’t disband. And even if they do, they’re going to be apart of each other lives for a very long time after

This is an AMAZING example of why BTS are the realest artists out there! Look at the genuine fear and sadness they had in front of the eyes of the world. I didn’t find out about any of this till I had to hear it from my own cousin but…it really made me see them as more stronger than before. The fact they gave up their time to sing in a language completely different from their own speaks volumes! Wait, 2018 MAMA was when he talked about disbanding but he was having a tough time in 2019. Not sure this makes sense. I think no one knows exactly all the reasons they thought about disbanding and they have never gone into detail about it. So not sure if it’s because of Jin and his English. When did he say that? His English is so good.
Didn’t epiphany come out that year? I think he got a burn out in 2019 after all the struggling years and the strong front he put up.

But then she starts talking about the hardships they faced 2019? Like what?
They were considering to disband as they weren’t getting much recognition around 2015 something like that and the company was in too much debt. But they still held on. Later on they made it.

Because the agency decides whether to disband or not. Idol's can't decide anything in kpop, they don't have freedom. So basically Jin meant that, they didn't care about the agency or anything, but the members and their fans.

@@imeldadizon8246 what they said isn’t completely true. Agencies do get to disband groups whenever they want, but they don’t have full control over them. Not 100%. It’s up to the idols to renew their contracts, agencies can’t force them. Bts has a lot more control in this new contract, they have a lot more control over their careers in BigHit then people believe. They literally built HYBE and share a tiny percentage of their stocks revenue (money HYBE gets) to show their gratitude towards BTS for building them. That maybe be true for other groups, but BTS isn’t as controlled as many people think. They don’t exactly get to do whatever they want, but BTS have talked about several times “arguing” with the company and openly talk about the things they contribute to in their work. They’re not dogs on a leash like a huge chunk of the kpop industry, they have a voice at BH & HYBE. It’s painfully obvious how much control BTS have.
