Petra finally getting an alt is amazing, her art is amazing! She looks so beautiful and her weapon and class type is awesome! She has been who I have been hoping to see solo on a Summer banner since Year 5. Only wish she had a Premium A or Assist skill, but that's a very minor nitpick all in all. I will be getting her no matter what. Dedue finally getting an alt even if it is free is great. Unfortunately he is seemingly the 4th Axe Infantry favorite of mine to be released (after Echidna, Gonzalez, and Ninja Shamir) so I wish he had been any other weapon type (a lance or bow in particular), but regardless hope he has less than 20 Speed to at least differentiate him from the rest of my +10 Axe units. Finally, I thought I was gonna be safe with the other half of this banner being Engage, but then they hit me with Goldmary in that absolutely stunning swimsuit. Goldmary is my favorite character from Engage so I have to pull for her too. I don't love that she is a Lance Infantry as this seems like it'd be similar to Ingrid in that we have all her versions all wielding s Lance, but we'll see when she gets her base version in like 2 years... ugh. speaking more positively, while I don't love Bernie having her be the complete opposite of Goldmary is a fun concept of opposites attracting. Regardless very happy with her being in the game and hope to get both her and Petra on the way to the spark. Very happy that I wasn't tempted to pull past the 1st circle of the Emblem Celica banner. I don't care for Alear or Clanne, but I'm very happy that they are both Colorless because we need to fix the Double Special Seasonal banners that is so lopsided that we have now 9 Red, 7 Blue and Green, and 5 Colorless units. We need a banner with no Red units and another two Colorless units badly. Also the inheritable skills are shockingly tame on this banner. While Even Res Wave D is the best imo it is still on par with Odd Def Wave 4 from the last summer banner. Thanks so much for the fun reaction and Art analysis. Wish you the best GuardianE!

Another hype summer banner! I am so hyped for Summer Female Alear. She is SO CUTE! And that Somnie beach ball...that is adorable...I am going all in, hoping to get everyone. I hope I can at least get Summer Female Alear or the Harmonized unit. Glad that Petra finally got an alt! But I REALLY want Female Alear or Goldmary first...I am just gonna ignore all the powercreep and the fact that Petra's weapon is a goddamn algebra formula (can't get more convoluted than that...).

Honestly really hard to be upset with this selection of characters. Summer F!Alear was basically assured to happen at some point, Petra getting a summer alt is LONG overdue, Goldmary getting a summer alt makes sense, and my boy Dedue getting a summer alt to go along with Dimitri is nothing short of excellent and is 100% gonna get +10ed by me. I do kind of with Clanne could have gotten his alt on a different banner where he could have gotten a pfr just as strong as his sister got, but the art's cute and he's likely gonna have some cute interactions with Alear during the paralogue or TT anyway. I think my only complaint is that I kind of wish Bernie was swapped out for either Rosado or M!Alear since I liked her interactions with the both of them a lot. Not to say I dislike Bernie getting an alt, I adore her and look forward to her Brave Alt a lot, I just feel like summer doesn't fit her at all. But ALSO I did get a kick out of her screaming "WHAT'S WRONG WITH HER" in the trailer so I can't say I hate the choice either lol. Overall, really great summer banner! Granted I might be a bit biased since Dedue's easily my favorite summer banner pick in literal years, and the early look at his art has me VERY pleased with how he turned out, but honestly all the choices range from great to mixed but still fun choices for me and really that's all I can ask for these days.
