- In 1966, King Charles III was sent to school in the freezing alpine region in the south-east of Australia. Camping, bushwalking, woodchopping and outdoor survival training were a big part of the curriculum. The King's two terms as an exchange student at Geelong Grammar School’s Timbertop campus transformed the shy young prince into a confident heir to the throne.

Brilliant. Timbertop still operated here in Australia and remains one of the best, if not the best boarding school in the country.
It was only a short time
I spent 23 years there
Arriving in 1956 as a shy
Backward fellow and left
In 1979 much more confident
And wise thanks to divine help!
Charles would have learnt a lot about Aussie stuff. A good education is right for a young man who has to take the throne one day. The Queen was busy with birth of Prince Edward then.🇬🇧🛶🏏📻🇬🇧
I won't have anything bad said about Charles. it's now well known that he had cassettes of Kevin bloody Wilson in his royal limo lol
Charles has a very wicked sense of humour it seems. Kevin bloody Wilson or Derek and Clive? Perhaps.🇬🇧😂
@@brucekilby9957 If you're British you probably wouldn't know who Kevin bloody Wilson is . Probably the funniest but filthiest Australian comedian we've ever had. I will have to look up Derek and Clive though
@@James-kv6kb Derek and Clive are characters of the late Peter Cook and Dudley Moore.🇬🇧🍾🍻🥃🇬🇧
