It Happened Quiet is a song from AURORA’s 2018 EP “Infections of a Different Kind”. AURORA claims that it’s about a dark, complicated relationship. (although it’s not clear whether she experienced this herself, but to me, she is just telling a tragic story.)

Aurora seems to heal me in a way I can’t quite explain. She brings me somewhere where my mind and soul can fly, and it makes me feel free and healed.

i felt this way too when i heard it for the first time. it was so entrancing yet sorrowful… incredibly beautiful.
It’s such a wonderful thing to find someone who’s poetry in their art honestly just resonates with you. I’ve been blue for so long for people to understand so this helps.

Not sure why but as a sexual assault survivor this song hits me deeply... it resonates somewhere with that broken girl and the silence and ice that covered my emotions after.

If I had this song during my youth I would have felt some peace
My brother in law was killed in Mexico, and we found him until now since august 2021, and we know who kill him but there is not going to be justice for that. and this song reminds me to him because he was like a brother to me. I never thought he would die, now I don't know what to tell my sister and his mom this is painful! and I cry in silence wondering what he would have said in his last moments!
I wish it was only that but I got through a depression, anxiety and now this!. What would happen to my low motivation I was carrying! I need to see justice, and I wish I could have said my last goodbyes!

i think it was a stylistic choice! the choir at the end resembles that of a church choir. very fitting, especially since the next song in the album is “churchyard”.
