@sbth524 They were produced at the studios of KYNE (on the University of Nebraska-Omaha) using local talent from Lincoln and Omaha.. Director/producer Paula Jacobsen coordinated a student production crew. These takes were done live, picking up the next scene with hard edits to 2" tape (post-production was not affordable yet in the late '70s).
This was my favorite when I was a kid! I don’t remember how old I was and would love to know what year(s) it ran! We watched it in school, but I don’t remember which grade. I see comments like 3rd it 4th grade, which for me would have been 1980-1983. I’m guessing this was late 70s though?
My early childhood! REVERSE THE CURSE! Of the PBSEDU lineup, this was one of my faves. I forgot how legitimately funny this show was. Lots of cute little puns that flew way over my head at the time. Also, it kind of explains why I've been running a weekly _Yu-Gi-Oh!_ tourney at a game shop in Omaha for the past decade or so. Guess I'm just a sucker for the shiny stuff.
This is a show which kids were forced to watch by their parents, instead of watching Get Smart, the Partridge Family or the Munsters, whenever they had sick days from school in the late 70's and early 80's!
Peter Matson I remember that show too! It was the same guy who played Marshal Marshal in Belles Letters and the pirate in I-Land treasure. I miss that one too.
Love this. Do you by chance have Nebraska Communities too that had that crazy guy from the past come to nebraska and learn about communities and social studies.

I watched these in the late 80s (3rd and 4th grade I think? I'm turning 40 in '21 😳) and they started to seem dated but we still loved them!
This was one of my favorite shows. It was great to be a kid who liked public television in Nebraska at that time.
Right on

I never saw this when I was a kid but I saw other similar shows so it feels familiar. And Vera makes me feel funny inside.
Trip down memory lane. Last time I watched this was fourth grade.
He's pretty nice for a goauld
Came here to show my son, and apparently audio has been taken down?
There's audio now, if it wasn't there before.
Sooo many shows!!!!! Anyone remember the health show all about you or another one called think about it?

I'm thinking that Carol Burnett and Vicki Lawrence inspired these characters.
