Sane, declarative, methodical, truthful openness regarding his personal struggles with his weight and his failed attempts to make Trump a better person. Owning your sh:t is a genuine moment.

I am a Democrat but the town hall speech Christie gave yesterday was phenomenal. It was so refreshing to hear reason and truth from a party that is marked by treason and lies. Will Christie be the GOP candidate, no, but he might just save the Democracy.
Most Republicans' today are adolescents in adult bodies. Christie actually makes sense but I still would not vote for him.
He was my Governor at one point and he wasn’t great at speeches imho. But I get what you’re saying about his town hall. His State of the Union was fantastic and when the GOP booed at him for saying that they would cut Medicare, he turned it around on them and said 'well good, then we all agree that Medicare is off the table.' I live in NJ, and Christie is not a grown-up. He is not as bad as Trump, but he was pretty bad. He is basically a revengeful tyrant and a bully. He's trying to revise history. Folks in his administration took a lot of the blame for his crap. He threatened Mayors all over the state. Also, he was mean to the cities and state workers. I do give him some credit for going after Trump, though. That's the least that he can do because he kissed Trump"s butt for years.

The fact that Christie was able to take the higher ground and say that he has struggled with his weight for 20 years is extremely encouraging to me. He can tell the truth, something that other people in the Republican Party can't. If any Republican deserves to be the president, which I don't think any do, Chris Christie is a great candidate. He seems to be older now and much more grounded than he used to be, and he is saying all the right things. You are a good man Mr Christie and don't let somebody like Donald Trump try to disparage you. Nobody actually believes where he says, his supporters want him back in the White House for their own financial game. This can be the only reason why somebody would support him.
I love people who are blind. The vast majority of these guys were hardcore backers of trump, until he lost and then they either continued to back home or dropped him. Christie is one of those. Him doing this when he will actually benefit politically from it, isn't a reason to raise him.
You also need to watch trump rally interviews, his supporters have no women, will have no money, and I would argue most are legally mentally disabled if tested.

However, I do agree that Christie is smart (he was a great prosecutor) and would be a million times better than Trump. However, I still won't vote for him.
