Obviously, before reacting to a cover of any song, you really owe it to yourself to listen to the original artist first. While Tori does a great job, nobody can really duplicate what Karen Carpenter sounds like, and you are really missing out on what is arguably the most beautiful pop voice ever recorded.
I agree.but she is an incredible cover. So close, but not quite. Bravo!

the original was better exspecial when you realize they did it without synthizers . she may mouthing along with the song.this isnt even a cover.

I don't see a synthesizer in this video, and she's not mouthing to someone else's vocals, and it is a cover, so you're wrong on all three counts.
@@SAnnun-hs1io hey Steve, he basically said she’s miming. 🤣 I honestly don’t think they understand how high that compliment is. They never do research, so they can’t comprehend what they are hearing. I decided to do a few reactions for Dan and “Suddenly.” Tré (Fish out of Water) did it about as fast as Carole has. I know he saw Tori’s name and we jumped the line. He needed a fix and got it. He talked about USA BBall being in hand and he got to the music. I’m not doing the $$ ones, just affordable ones here and there. Be well!

Totally disagree with you. While Karen is in fact in a league of her own, this young woman does a fabulous job emulating the essence of Karen's spirit with a voice that is by no means identical yet still very rich with its own warmth and clarity. The representation of vocal layering and the multiple harmonies beautifully illustrates the genius of the original arrangement and graphically conveys a genuine tribute to what Karen and Richard shared more than 50 years ago. The biggest problem here is not the video, but the fact that the reactor was not familiar with the original version that this rendition is paying tribute to.
