Well this lesson came up right when I needed it! I was just lamenting that my pears were better when I started doing them, than went I recently came back to them. I had lost the basics, I had to get back to them. Thanks!
Stumbled upon one of your videos this afternoon. Haven't painted in three years but immediately picked up a big brush and followed your wonderful instruction. Did a creditable cup and now I'm excited about painting again. Will watch all your tutorials. You're a great teacher.
THANK YOU SO MUCH ROBERT B. I have been a admirer of your Art for do long. Sincerely, I find this video one of the best ever !! It was not rushed. Also, being able to watch you actually paint as you explained the process, was SO valuable.
Thank you uncle Bob You always give painting lesson that works best for me... Best tips and tricks. Such as bucket of water, wet paint brush and painting spirit you show to me. Thanks again... Keep the spirit...
Thank you Bob. You bring joy when it is becoming harder to find. I’ve been in a slump. I’ve made things too complex and lost the simplicity. Back to the studio for me to paint pears and put paint to canvas with abandon.
I love your instruction Bob. My apologies for not subscribing or commenting. Thank u so much for sharing yourself with the world. Your instruction is invaluable
Hi, Bob! I absolutely love your pear! I have been wanting to paint a composition of a pear, a glass of wine and a block of cheese for a long…ever time and this was very inspiring! « Keep your brush wet! » ❤️
Bob, I’m so lucky to have found you! You’re truly a real blast! You’re style and fruit is simply amazing! I would say you had green fingers but that wouldn’t be right as you’re a true artist and they’re white from the beautiful fingerly highlights! I’m now going to have to do this in watercolour and have fun! Please, please, I need to know more about your classes!
Thank you Paul! I teach workshops nationally plus in my studio in California. Go to my website and click on my Workshop Schedule. If you have any questions, Kate or I are happy to answer.
Hi Bob….I love the way you teach……I love your videos. Thank you for what you do!! I just finished watching this video. Before this one I watch the video of you in Sarasota, Fl. Doing your demos. In that video you emphasize the importance of painting light…dark…light dark with a circle and then a pear as example….I loved it..I got it and all so important. But then I just watched this video and you painted the background all the same light greenish blue. Even the table……no darks other than the shadow or the right side of the pear…..does this contradict your earlier video that I mentioned…OR is ok with the background all one color because you are using the pear colors for the contrast of the background….this one confuses me. Thank you again……I a now watching every day!!! If thumbs up!!! Charlotte
Also, it's easier to use lots of paint when someone else is paying for them! I'm not selling enough yet for it not to be painful to visit the art supply store.
Finally someone that explains light, clearly
Bob I love your teaching style, it's clear, consise and fun. You are a big personality. I ❤ your channel.
