You're welcome. You're right there's not many girls who play the bari but she plays it most of the time and she loves it. It's her favorite sax to play. Maybe one day you'll get one and discover it's your favorite to play
I have played bari in college for a concert and even tried a bass sax at a gig, but tenor really speaks to me. That's awesome that she found her sound in such a unique instrument!!

Why do bands who need a saxophonist always pick a male? I think there should be more female saxophonists in bands.
Every band I've ever played in had a female saxophonist, lol jk. I think it's because of the ratio of professional male to female performers... There are just more guys doing this for a living. I do know a killer female bari player that is in the Army band right now, though, so we are out there lol.
It's my personal opinion but I do think if there's a really good female saxophonist out there they should be in the band instead of a guy. I'm sure you'd be an awesome saxophonist in a band!

How long have you been playing the saxophone?
I have been playing music 22 years. I was a classical clarinetist in middle/high school (played alto for fun in jazz band) and decided to get my bachelor's degree in jazz performance- tenor sax, so I switched over and started practicing like crazy. I am so happy I did!
That's awesome! I have a friend who plays the clarinet and sounds awesome! Too bad their musical ability can't be transferred to me lol! I do play a mean air guitar lol. But I always enjoy listening to her play!
