The video is very misleading. Firstly, gems come from destroying cards, emojis, etc. Then to sell the gems, you have to have enough to pack into a sack, then sell the sack. Plus, you don't just randomly get them, you have to PLAY the games to earn cards. And not all games earn cards. Most of the time, selling the raw cards is more profitable than selling the gems you get from them. And it's not free money, either, since you had to own the games. A $50 game might earn you 3 cards, which could net you 3 cents on the market.
yeah i just turned all my cards into gems and got some pretty bad cards from the gems so i'm poor now lol

The only game that I know that has some value by selling stuff for free is CS:GO, every week you can get lootboxes and an item by leveling up that can be sold at the market, each can give you from just 50 cents to 50$ but it's really rare. My friend got the 50$ box like 3 weeks ago

For anyone wondering why they don't have it or why they can't verify their acc is because you have a locked account. To unlock your account you need to spend 5 dollars on steam credit or games then after that you just need to play games and sell your trading cards which sells super quickly idk why ppl even buy this lol but its free money so whatever.
I mean, i have tons of games filled with 30 dollars, 10 dollars, 5 dollars, 50 dollars and yet i still haven't gotten my account unlocked because its been people gifting me or giving me a key to unlocklol

People buy trading cards to either level up their steam profile or to genuinely build a card collection (which I've never seen someone do)
I usually have 1-3 cent games and I'll sell a bunch to get like 3-5 bucks for games

I have the same USB C hub for my steam deck
The trading cards are more worth it to sell on their own than using gems. Some types of cards go for 20-30 cents depending on game. Most will run at 1-3 cents tho (what you get not actual price. Actual price would be 3-7 cents).
On CSGO tho, the more you spend on the game (on cases or keys or such) the more trading cards you get. While you still lose money this way, you can still sell the trading cards on the market for a couple pennies. I sold most of my trading cards and bought a key for CS for it 🤷🏼♂️
I do have like 50 games played tho. And some of those cards were going for 20-30 cents.
Also, some games give out emotes or other content as rewards that you may or may not be able to sell. Rust gives you a few items as well that you can sell.
I got level 25 on steam from buying levels with my steam points. If someone wants a tutorial, it’s really easy, and anyone can do it if you have left over points

You can sell your cases from counter strike, over the years I had over 40 cases and I sold them all over 200$ on steam

wouldn’t suggest doing gems but I sold a total of 500 steam cards ranging from 3 - 27 cents and made a total of 7 bucks 👍

1000 gems for around 0,25€ That's around ~60-50 cards (maybe less) and that's ~0,6-0,5€ for just the cards

I see a lot of people saying misleading or misinformation. This isn’t click bait
but I think the gem booster packs is actually not very good advice.
In my experience it’s a gamble and not usually worth it to do the gems.
For people who have very few steam games or $$ spent on games in general probably won’t get much out of this.
I’ve bought dozens of games on steam sale entirely with selling trading cards.
Probably $200 over a few years.
it’s tedious and annoying, but that stuff will stack up. Wait for a sale.

It isn't easy to sell gems (you need to pack it into a sack with 1k) and you can sell badges for money not gems so this video isn't misleading you guys just understood wrongly

@@vreeqsyeah I'm pretty sure there's a bot that automatically buys cards and trades them with your steam account in exchange for some key for a crate in a valve game (I think it's CSGO) so as long as all of the trading cards for a badge are on the market your cards should be sold eventually.

OK first off not every gem get you that much money you have to get 1000 gems to make a stack of gems which you can sell for around $.50 it takes a while to get just one card and you can convert one card into about 10 gems you can literally make more money by taking out the trash once a month for your parents💀💀💀

I just sell the cards I was lucky enough to get some cards that are decently priced and add that to all the other cheap cards and boom. I have bought like 5 games doing this but don't expect that you will be buying $20 games and I don't live in the US so games are cheaper for me and the money I accumulated doing this is spent during a sale
