This is a really helpful review. I just got mine today in red. Still charging, excited to try it tomorrow.
Check out local bike stores for a decent straight 25.4mm handlebar, the stock handle bar of fiido is not good.
Great Review, happy that I found your channel, quality content!
This form factor seems to be a really good choice for utility oriented micromobility.
Its a fun little scooter and more utilitarian than some of the other similar seated scooters. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the honest review
You got it, I can't really do any other type.
Great review man👍🏼
Great video! I think these little scooter is great to move around town and also have your dog in your basket!
Thanks for the detailed and real review.
sure thing!
Great review~!
Thanks!
Great review brother . subscribed .
Right on, much appreciated, great to have you!
It reminds me of Maria Karts seeing you perched on top of it 😀
that's a great analogy, it kind of feels go-cart like.
Coupon code didn’t work. Says it isn’t valid for the items in cart. I tried with both the install and without suspension.
how often do you find yourself needing to replace parts for the Fiido Q1s ?
Are you constantly checking the inner tubing pressure after each trip?
I actually sold the Fiido before needing to replace anything. Thanks
Any one know if there's a limiter on this model.. and where to find it? (Just need to make sure it's safe:))
Really informative videos of the Fiido. Q: what is the brand of your helmet?
@finsat, happy to help, the helmet is a Uvex brand. I got it on clearance at REI and have not been able to find another one. Thanks!
pwede bang tapyasan/babaan ang seat ng 2 inches? or me ibang paraan para mababaan ang upuan, para sa mababa ang height na rider. salamat po sa sagot
Gear motor for hill climbing
Great hill climb as 350w motor
Great review. I wonder what the max weight is?
Oh nevermind found it on the description. Thanks
To Activate the Cruise Control, just move the throttle to your desired speed for 5 to 10secs then release the throttle. To disable cruise control, use the brake lightly or use the throttle for a sec.
Thanks for the input, with mine I found when left on it would engage in a way I wasn't always expecting. For me getting to the desired speed then tapping it twice just worked better. Thanks for commenting.
@@ElectronSurfer btw, I got my Controller an upgrade, Tactical bag, Battery Switch button and added 2 extra external batteries for longer range. can do 28 to 30kph, but at flat road, I can only do 27 to 28kph.
@Zahir Datoo bought them from a local supplier here in the Philippines
Isngot Kamote hi there...I’m from Philippines too Manila. Which shop did you go to? Planning on upgrading once I get the hang of it.
@@CB-ym9pg bought mine from Laguna e-scooter shop and they're the one that sent it to manila for the upgrades. BTW I'm from San Pablo Laguna
Where can i order
Where can i order this brother
Here in Yorkshire uk we have a lot of hills and this needs more power.
I have the fiido d3s which has pedals and gears but same motor , it's just enough for the hills if I use pedals and gears which is fine by me.
Plus of course pedal assist is road legal where as this scooter would not be.
Interesting though.
Oh I get funny looks all the time and feel like a clown riding around but hey, it's fun.
@nigelsheffield, thanks for the comment. Pedals would be a great addition, do they hit the ground when you corner?
@@ElectronSurfer cornering needs care as with all push bikes but it's not been a problem yet.
Hi, I'm in Yorkshire too and I struggle to walk very far due to a medical issue. I'm currently researching which e-scooter is going to make it possible for me to get out and about in the summer. I drive but it limits you to roads and car parks, I want to feel more free. I'm aware they're illegal but I'm willing to risk it
@@kreg_92 you are welcome to try out the d3s I have if it will help you decide.
I have built a couple of ebike conversions now with full suspension mountain bikes and the results are far superior to the scooters with our potholes roads and paths.
From what I hear the police arpund here wont bother you if you are pedalling hense my comment.
How easy is the battery to swap? For a longer ride I might consider a second battery. That seat looks bad though which is unfortunate.
Maybe if they made a longer range model with a larger battery I would consider that as a better option.
I would expect a battery swap to be difficult. It would probably be easier to add a battery where the storage area is. Voro was going to, and may have now, the RoadRunner which was going to have a removable battery and be a similar style scooter.
I guess I'm getting the no. Suspension
Ive been using this model for a year and it suddenly turns off while using it im so sad idk if its the battery or the controller or thr charger
More than likely it is the display or controller. If it is the charger, you won't have the normal red and green lights going on. The battery is rarely the case and you would typically see your range and speed drop significantly vs. totally shutting off. I would suggest checking all the cable connectors, could just have something a little loose.
Bought one in black
Let me know how you like it!
Where can I buy one of these Electron surfer?
They used to be sold by VoroMotors, I am not sure where to get them now.
How heavy are you?
I am 175 lbs, I started putting that in each description, missed this one. Thanks!
Where can you customize this?
I heard that these are popular in other countries, I would expect you could find a lot of items on AliExpress, hopefully someone else will chime in.
It only has a rear reflector. Would have been perfect if it’s equipped with a functioning rear and break light. Company trying to cut cost.
@ScooterBob44, very true, I don't totally understand the choices companies make, I do think our cost expectations drive some of that though. Thanks for the comment.
@@ElectronSurfer You're welcome sir.
Look at this Fiido ruclips.net/video/6l54CqUBzFY/видео.html
What's your height? Wondering if its uncomfortable for taller persons🤔
I am 5'10", I feel too tall for almost all of the sit down style of scooters but that is individual.
Is it allowed in the netherlands?
Without a license
I really have no idea, sorry.
Cuanto vale en puerto rico
The scooter would be more appealing to me if it more powerful and if it would have been to be folded in half.
How is that going uphill man?
See 14:38, it does ok for a smaller motor scooter with the geared motor.
@@ElectronSurfer They got gears to shift on? How many gears, main man?
@@semi5alpha No the motor has internal gears, which gives it more torque than one without.
@@ElectronSurfer Bless you man.. Tnx!!
Needs to be heavily modified 👍
There are some wild modification out there to this, scooter. I've heard of a high output controller maybe being offered that will hit 2,300 watts to the motor, wheelie time!
@@ElectronSurfer ill be upgrading mine with external battery pack and controller that can do 35kph soon
@@Esmot28 Cool, let me know how it goes!
How much?
This was $899 when I posted the video, I always include that down in the description.
Put a new motor 1000 watts and a new controller
250w? Bummer
I think Voro makes a higher output version now. I agree though, it should have 48v & 500w minimum!
