Love the character, pls finish story mode. Honestly i was shocked when yall went 1.0 and story mode wasn’t finished but y’all have released 2 dlc characters now and made no tangible progress on the story
They were able to turn a bull and two cow bells into a fully fledged fighting game character. Respect

Texas has major dad energy.
I have to thank the devs for making Texas a rush down attacker instead of a grappler. Fighting games used to only have big guys as grapplers, but seeing this massive bull be a combo beast by using his bells as flails really makes me want to play him.
Except he IS a grappler, lol. That's the entire point of his creation, to finally get a traditional grappler in the game. They're just doing more to his moveset than you typically see with grapplers, including not making him as downright immovable and worthless as grapplers tend to be in most games.

Ah, I see. At the very least he doesn't feel like a traditional grappler. He isn't that slow and still has ranged attacks that makes sure his grappler status doesn't make him worthless.

My verdict: Texas is a Big Body Rushdown character
there also is abigail from street fighter 5 whos not only the biggest in the series but also is a large body striker.
And here's voiced by Patrick Seitz, voice of Jiren, and formerly Scorpion, and DIO? YES. I NEEDED THIS IN MY LIFE.
I love the bell ringing sound when he lands a good blow. So satisfying!
I love how the bell ropes essentially act as arms.
I mean, how else are you supposed to handle a grappler character in a quadrepedal fighting game?
One very important thing in fighting games is properly visualizing the sheer weight and force of attacks through animation and sound design. This game captures that perfectly.
I don't play fighting games, but I love watching gameplay of this just for the eyecandy that is the animations

@@datboiashy2957 I think Texas also gets what is essentially HPB as his level 3 super, so there's def some inspiration being taken.
Because he also seems a full grown adult out of all the calves in the game. Bulls are pretty big, also in fighting games there's always 1 or 2 big guys characters so the game was missing a big guy.
I guess Arizona was down for some daddy-daughter time, eh?
Jokes aside, I love how Texas ænd Arizona share a few moves like þe ground pound. Shows how much Arizona learned from her dad.
There's actually a lot of storytelling in Texas' moveset. You can see where his daughter learned some of the stuff she does and also how she changed it to match her own style. They mentioned this briefly at the NEC stream and I'm sure they'll go into more detail in the post-patch stream. So damn creative.

Building magic through sweet spots has gotta be one of the most fun mechanics so far!! Can’t wait to play him!!
I really hope there end up being different magic gain and damage combo routes. Decision making in combos allows for so much creativity.

lo mas brutal de todo esto es que en primer lugar, Arizona tiene varias habilidades similares a las de su padre y aparte.
segundo: estas mismas habilidades se ve que a Texas le cuesta muy poco esfuerzo realizarlas, ya que por ejemplo el golpe que impacta rompiendo el suelo a Texas le toma poco esfuerzo o nulo y hasta se ve que disfruta hacer estas habilidades mientras que a Arizona le toma algo mas de esfuerzo en su set de habilidades, sin mencionar que las bandas sonoras son buenísimas.

Incluso lo de enterrar gente en el suelo, si no me equivoco Arizona solo lo puede hacer si usa su ultimate
detalle muy bueno del que me di cuenta por cierto, y es que Texas se parece a motaro.
*ahora viene el mucho texto con el por que.*
tiene unas buenas mecánicas similares a las de MOTARO en Mortal Kombat, ya que su fuerte suele ser su alto daño, largas distancias y fuerte capacidad de enfrentar en un 1v1 al oponente.
y de contra parte es su GRAN HITBOX ya que al ser tan grande (y en varios casos hasta lento)es débil ante los ataques rápidos o fuertes, pero sobre todo de gran cantidad de impactos mezclados con velocidad (sobre todo si es con patadas aéreas fuerte como pasaba en mk3).
I really love Texas, he’s just so unique in comparison to the rest of the roster. Not only is he the biggest character on the roster so far, he’s also it’s first fella.
I can only hope the rest of the pass will introduce characters that are just as different.

I have heard that Mane6 announced Chapter 2 include (Velvet's chapter) will release end of this year including December 30th or 31st and before New Year's Eve. I am so excited for Chapter 2 will release this month.
They have not announced anything of the sort.
I remember that, when Mane6 have challenges matches for Fall season. They announced all consoles on October 18th and they also announced they will release Chapter 2 or (Velvet's Chapter) announced end of this year.

I am glad this game still gets updates. Two characters since release doesn't seem like a lot but tbh I thought this game was already "finished"

Yup just like I thought this Big Bad Texan Man ain't no grappler, this man's a Juggernaut character. Adding sweet spots though for his big normals though that's a nice twist for sure in the archtype.
He is definitely a grappler, just not a completely one-note one. Because TFH is sick.
@@SmokeRulz No, he is 100% a juggernaut. A grappler replies on there grabs for damage and combo while having very stumpy moves and issues with distance. This man definitely does not have any of those issues and seeing what grabs he has been shown to have, they don't do alot of damage or create options like a grappler needs to operate. This places him as a Juggernaut, a bit of a Off shoot of the grappler archtype. If you want this games version of a grappler, you're far closer to call his daughter Arizona. And even she isn't to traditional.
A few other examples he compares to far better would be Sentinel or Hulk from MVC, Abigal from SF5, uhrah(not spelling hs full name) from Tekken8, Goldlewis from Strive, Ect.
This was the EQUIVALENT of Omni vs his son.
I know he was described as big in Arizona's lore. I didn't think he was THAT big.

Yep. This is something new they've been able to do since adding Shanty's stage. Background elements (characters or otherwise) can jostle and react to heavy hits. Hopefully they can one day update older stages for this, but it's low priority.

I saw this game promoted on Facebook and I wondered if it was the same people behind Fighting is Magic because the animation looks so similar.
It is indeed the same people. This is what they made after FiMag got cancelled with the Hasbro C&D.
