@@Shard314 a part of me wonders tho, how many people actually have to report for them to even consider a ban? I know we’ve seen bans live on top 500-masters streams, but I feel like in those cases, that’s only when almost everyone actually follows thru with reporting…
@@mrs.Smokie_mc_doob well from my understanding after getting spinbotters in my games. with there being 12 people in each lobby, if at least 3+ people report the person, regardless on the same or enemy team, you do have a better chance of them getting banned. especially when its definite that they are cheating. i still get the pop up screens and emails like the next day that the person i reported was dealt with

I play OW on console and last night I played against a cheater, he was playing soldier, I didn't notice at the a start and thought it's just a very good player, then I watched the replays and realized he's cheating, I picked Ana and started bullying him, I would camp somewhere in a corner waiting for him, i was sleeping him t-bagging him then killing him for the rest of the game, it was hellava good time haha

i dont know if it works on overwatch, but i few years ago when i used to play battlefield on ps4, people on facebook groups used to talk about a usb dongle that'd let you auto aim to the head/ remove recoil and stuff like that.
@@Dark.Angel.Azazel Yep! And there's also mouse and keyboard cheats for console. Which basically is like having soft hacks since you have aim assist.

Ran into one of these guys last night, i was chilling playing qp and this hanzo was hitting the most unbelievable 1 shots on littlerly everyone. You could blink/recall and homie would do a 90 degree turn straight to the head lol
I mean I'm a console hanzo main and people have accused me of cheating when im not. Not saying cheating is ok or you are wrong but I mean I've done like quick 90 degree turns and headshot sombra before so it's possible.
@@Mob-tq7gv yeah no shit anyone can get lucky but when u get smoked the whole first round and end with 3 elims then the next round same character you start hitting nothing but headshots it's kinda suspicious, my team was calling him out too not just me
Once had a guy on the other team hacking as a tank, he started as ball and I switched to sombra to counter, he then spent the rest of the game focusing me and shooting at me while I was invis, it was wallhacks and aimbot. This was plat so the enemy team wasn’t willing to draw so we just forced the draw by going bunker comp.
Unfortunately, this was back in OW1 so the code doesn’t work anymore, but god did getting that draw feel good.
Sombra is amazing at actually catching cheaters though... Sometimes if they have bad wall hacks it will make them prefire you but you would be invisible or they want to kill you but they can't or they will get called out due to the invis.

I played against this guy in competitive! He plays in Australia. I have a clip of him too. The team he plays with got really toxic when we called him out.

One of the best things about this is that the Kiriko's name is 'Table'. Like I was wondering if they just caught on to the fact that 60% of Overwatch's playerbase has the names of random household objects and decided to name himself that.

Watching cheaters in competition games makes me sad and super paranoid. What's happening in quick play (where I normally reside)? I've been playing since OW1 release day. I think I'm decent for an old guy, but there are some who are just so fast and accurate, they make the game not fun sometimes. All so they can feel like winners (even though the rest of the population knows they're losers for having to resort to artificial help). Oh well. I'm still having fun and I like the new robot push modes probably the best.

Half the reason I enjoy Overwatch so much is because it's one of the only FPS games that isn't absolutely riddled with cheaters, or at least not blatant ones.
There's probably been quite a few wallhackers I've come across, but it's really hard to tell if somebody is wallhacking in OW if you don't watch the replays after.

The way a lot of players rationalize cheating in their heads, is that they feel like their skill-level is at a certain Rank, whether they're skilled enough to be at that Rank or not.
Almost like they feel entitled to being in Masters, and climbing normally is beneath them.

We actually don't need the reason why people use the cheat. Cheating is cheating even in real life or in games, it is something that people know cheating is bad. Actually, I've ever wanted to cheat but I decide not to, the reason is simply I suck at the game and I really tried of getting smurf in my game. The reason that make me decide not to cheat also simply; it's not different from playing with bot and also I don't want to be like the other cheater who ruined the game. It is better to try to improve myself by myself instead of using cheat that all I thought.

No, we understand exactly why they cheat. For higher level players, it's because they feel entitled to the top position. Why exactly they settle on cheating is up for debate, and likely varies from person to person
For lower level players, it's because they feel they are too far behind to get anywhere close to the top level. It's why speedrunning leader boards treat first-time posters with a high time, like top 30, with heavy skepticism.
It should be noted that I didn't reference any studies or Google anything, it's purely to insult cheaters. However, there's no agreed upon consensus on why people cheat.

I never had a cheater before, but if I had one in my team, i could never win without feeling bad for the enemy team
that is why you throw and feed when you get a cheater, you may lose sr but if the cheater reports you, they will get checked out as well and get banned. it's a small price to pay
