- In today's video we will talk about the Dark side of Dubai. Dubai is a refuge for a lavish lifestyle and world-class shopping, in addition to having the world's tallest building and valuable oil deposits.
A typical Emirati lifestyle might include having the privilege of driving a Ferrari and having at least one maid per household. Furthermore, Dubai serves as a safe haven for Arabs fleeing authoritarian regimes in their own countries.
However, there is a terrible reality hidden behind this dazzling exterior that the rest of the world may not be aware of: thousands of skyscrapers in Dubai are constructed by migrant workers!
Over the 2014 Christmas holiday something interesting happened, Etihad Airways had a glitch fare from the States to Abu Dhabi for $230 roundtrip! People all over the United States texted, tweeted, and called everyone they knew sharing the deal which resulted in a mass exodus of Americans headed to the United Arab Emirates. Arriving in the Abu Dhabi International Airport, many guests opted to take the complimentary hour long Etihad luxury shuttle to Dubai where they were greeted with towering modern skyscrapers, a vast highway filled with every luxury automobile imaginable and twinkling lights that filled the city. Naturally It was an array of visual stimulation, as Dubai is instantly entrancing. From the hotels to the restaurants and of course the shopping, Dubai is a luxurious modern Oasis in the middle of the desert. It’s hard not to fall in love. But behind the amazing service and awe striking architecture, there’s a darker side to Dubai that’s not on any brochure.
Among other documentaries about Dubai’s not so glamorous uprising, BBC’s Ben Anderson spent months in Dubai trying to infiltrate the community of expatriate workers who are putting them up.
According to Vice News, "what he discovered when he eventually got in was that the gem of the Arab world is almost entirely built on imported slave labor."
Expats from Bangladesh and India are drawn to Dubai by promises of a better quality of life, greater income, and limitless chances. Workers are compelled to work 12 hour days for very little pay six days a week after paying high-priced illegal Visa fees and then being stripped of their passports. Their living conditions are terrible, and they're trapped on the gloomy outskirts of the new world's most dazzling metropolis.
Expats from all over the world, especially from South Asia, make up more than 95% of Dubai's population. The majority of people have moved to Dubai with the hopes of a better future. However, their passports may be seized by airport security or companies upon arrival in an attempt to prevent them from leaving; and migrants are transferred to Sonapur, on the outskirts of Dubai, far from the city's flash and gloss.
In the most basic accommodations, more than five people live in a tight room with limited access to power. Workers frequently become ill since the water supply in the camps is not purified.
In addition, the rooms are typically plagued with rodents and insects due to a lack of ventilation!
Employees have been obliged to accept whatever wages they are paid by their employers as a result of the government's refusal to intervene in pay regulation or establish minimum working standards for migrant workers. There isn't even a bureau where they can file complaints, and refusing to work might lead to deportation or worse, jail. Migrant workers are also compelled to work in oppressive heat, with temperatures regularly exceeding fifty degrees Celsius. The government closes down tourist attractions during excessive heat, but workers are required to continue working.
As a result, it is unsurprising that the suicide rate among the Asian community in Dubai has been rising in recent years. On average, there are roughly two …

I had a friend who went to Dubai to work...but came back home after 8 months. It was such a relief to see my friend arrive home safely. But my heart broke to hear of the trauma experienced by many workers there. The people who help build Dubai with their bare hands ought to be treated with civility, dignity, respect and deep gratitude.

I worked as a site engineer in Dubai, Yes, the migrant laborers are treated so poorly . They work long hours, have pathetic accommodations, and was forced to work in the scorching heat. Sometimes I won't be able to look them in the eyes. It's a soulless city.

I am a Nigerian, I was in Dubai 2019 to work as an expatriate but I ended up been a slave for the whole one year I spent there, this is a country I will never pray for my enemy to go , their Government is a deceiver, the citizens are also bad set of people...
I was also working in dubai as tower crane controller last 2007, yes this is true, i was a victim of promising salary but it didnt materialized. I worked for about more than 16hrs. from 7am until 10pm, but most of the time until 1am, and inn again at 7am.
I went to the ministry of labor but it seems the officers there, didnt see me, instead treaten me to put me in the prison.

I went to Dubai years ago and was fascinated by the modern buildings and tourist trappings. I saw many of these workers in dirty uniforms stacked on the back of trucks like cattle. It was only years later that I found out the stories about these workers and how they are treated. I will never go back to Dubai again. I feel like it is a place of hidden evil.

I use to visit Dubai from 1998 till 2005, I have seen myself miserable life of expat workers in Dubai, local Arabs do not care they treat them like animals, all those skyscrapers are made by Pakistan, Indian and Bangladeshi labours, in one room 8 to 10 people sleep, I had seen most of Bangladeshi labors who did not see their wife children since 4 to 8 years, it is definitely a Modern days slavery, the best you can do is avoid visiting Dubai, spend time in Europe to see real nature.

I’m from Australia and if you want to earn lots of money here you go out west for weeks at a time and work at the mines. It’s not much fun, but it’s where the bulk money is. It’s a similar situation.

I went to Dubai over the summer. I really enjoyed myself while I was there, but once I met the locals, rather it be Pakistani, people from Bangladesh, or India, and some Africans, I knew that it wasn’t the place for me. All that glitz and glam is off the backs of darker people and I don’t like that. I didn’t like the fact that I got to be comfortable and lavish, but the locals people that helped build this city are being treated like trash. As I was about to leave Dubai, I felt that darkness and most likely won’t go again

After just coming from a trip to Dubai visiting my girlfriend who happens to be an expat worker from a much poorer country, I got to see first hand everything described in this video. Thanks for this, it's time the world wakes up to the terrifying truth to the real cost of all the shiny objects masquerading as human progress. Behind every flashy building are millions of poor people doing the real work necessary to maintain such excessive, luxurious lifestyles.

Sorry but Dubai is a welcoming place for everyone and it focuses first on its citizens we have everything here such as insurance, houses, and everything although do you have that in your home country? No other country treats it’s people like Dubai does. The first priority will ofcourse be the citizens. This world has different people and different levels. Not everyone will be rich and not everyone will be poor. That’s just how life is, everyone works hard to reach where they are and our leaders give everyone and not just citizens everything. I can relate to this video. My fiance is Filipina and she worked there. Her company seized the passports of their workers which is illegal and even sent out a letter explaining they had the local authorities permission to hold their passports. They would also even hold their paychecks for stupid reasons and not give out a pay stub. She would be upset she worked so many hours and then they only payed her for half. Then because they weren't giving out the pay statement she couldn't argue on her hours worked. One day she was at work and near the mall and saw a construction worker getting yelled at by locals cause he used the same door as them to go inside the mall. If your a construction worker then you are lower class and must use a different door to go inside the mall. She tried to leave and had to go through so much hoops to try to get her passport back. They also said she would have to pay a crazy amount of Durham's to quit her job and leave. It was like the equivalent of $1600 us dollars plus also have to buy a plane ticket back home. That would take ages for a migrant there to pay that. I helped her pay the fees and get back home and she is now back in the Philippines and we are waiting on our K1 visa. That place is horrible. Racism and discrimination there is beyond rampant. I strongly disapprove of anyone going there to work cause they think they will have a better life.

I completely agree with you. Not sure which Dubai some people live in where all they see Gulf as the best country but the reality is most of the labours are treated very badly. I, myself went to through some of the these situation even though I was working as a Jr. Accountant. Also I have been to Sonapur to meet my cousin and it looks so different and feels like you’re in a complete different country.

If you plan to move to work there, before you leave, apply for another passport even if yours hasn’t expired yet. Some countries likes the US do that. Or just lie and say you lost it. Then when you get second passport, and your employers takes it from you, then you’ll have your old one as a backup and EVEN IF it’s expired you can still fly home.

I’m bussines man myself I own night clubs in London and this is the first time I been to dubai , as bussines man I like to watch thing discover things and see how people run company and business . And dubai is what you just said it’s on your video modern slavery 100/100 . Here how I know this we been to this restaurant and I see this young guy working behind the bar I watched him hours how hard working person he was and the experience he had with drinks and cocktails , so I start speaking to him he finish university of base in food and drinks tasting and mixers his experience are very high . So my bill was 900£ for food and drinks for 2 people which is fine I can afford that I’m willing to pay high price in high end restaurants. However he was working 12 hours day and his wages was only 300 dollar month . So my question is this how could you sell food for 900£ and pay staff 300£ month ? So cut long story to sort he said for dubai that’s good money other people gets like 100 dollars month . So I offers him job in London working for me

So true, my cousin went to work in Dubai with a promised salary, they shared a room with many people{bedbugs on another level), he ate 3 slices of bread daily after being promised accommodation and food. His salary was 50 dollars after all the false deductions they impose. Thank God he left and is now in another country. Let this message spread and expose this evilness. One thing is clear, God does not sleep, judgement is upon this land.
I met this good young man in Dubai metro this year. He was from Trinidad and he wasn't impressed at all with Dubai. My brother advised him to go back. Dubai just glitters, but it is a rotten community built only for the rich.

I use to live in Dubai for about 13 years and i totally agree with your documentary and your report is quite accurate.
My friend's elder sister went to work as a Nurse for an ailing old couple in Dubai in the late 80's, she was in her mid twenties, the barbaric cruelty she had to endure there for 3 whole year's was horrible, she was treated worse than an animal, she had to cook, clean the house, etccc and was also repeatedly raped and sodomized by the men of the house. Now this lady is in her late 50's and living happily in a very beautiful Hill Station in South India but even nowadays the very mention of the name Dubai/Saudi brings tears to her eyes.

Once you get into Dubai and they confiscate your passport, you’re shut out from the outside world. I have a high school buddy who went there and his family hasn’t heard from him in 7 years. No calling or texting or emailing. Some of his family members have since died. It is very sad. I would never vacation in a place washed up with tears and sorrows in the name of luxury. I do have a conscience.

I'm a malaysian and visited Dubai in 2019. What a wonderful country. The desert, shopping and sky scrapers but after what i hear from this video, i think these labourers should not go to Dubai looking for odd jobs. Stay in your country and work hard. There are many people came up through hardship in india
This video is based off information relating to earlier days in Dubai. Things have become far better for migrant workers now.

It's no better in Saudi. I was working there making $160k tax free and we had hundreds of guys from the Philippines that worked 6 days a week making $1 an hour. They put me up in a 3 bedroom all marble apartment with full maid service and the guys from the Philippines slept in camps out in the desert. It was so messed up. I couldn't wait to get out of there!

I am Indian and could relate to everything what is mentioned here. The worst part was I was working as management consultant to major construction companies both in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and I used to suggest measures to improve productivity of the direct workforce. While interacting with the labour at the construction sites, I just used to sympathize with their living conditions and insane working hours under the sun. Once a worker approached me and said - Sir, we have so many people sharing room and bathrooms that if we want to have shower, we need to get up at 4 AM in the morning and join the queue as we need to report to work at 6 AM. The only suggestion I would give to those seeking to go to middle east - you can make equally good money working in major Indian cities as carpenter, plumber or electrician by being your own boss, trust me.

1) For those of you asking me why I worked in Dubai if treated badly.....I worked as consultant to construction companies, not as skilled labor...I did not experience the atrocities like what the labor force faced, my comments were mere reflection of what I have SEEN and HEARD first hand
2) Those saying salary is more in Dubai compared to what he can earn in India, please read my comments below, I have shared the salary comparison for your reference. Again, this is from my own experience having worked with multiple major contractors, feel free to vet with your own research
3) To those who say the workers don't even get water in India and they must be happy that atleast water is available in the camps they stay in Dubai, you must be either blind or freaking speak through your ass....Don't have anything further to say on these baseless comments
4) Many have asked why despite all of these issues the workers migrate there...Well like mentioned in the comments, the agent promises something and reality is something else. Now with social media and exposure, lesser people are opting to go and work in the ME.
FINALLY, I don't have anything against Emiratis, Omanis, Saudis etc....Many of the Arabs I had worked with are very nice and friendly people. Also I have nothing against their government. My entire objective of this post is to bring awareness to the people going to work in the ME (especially the skilled ones going there to work in construction sites). Ask your agent to give referrals of people who are at present in the ME...Speak with them and their family to enquire on the working conditions. Many might still want to go and work there, but atleast you know what's in store when you get there. PERIOD!

@@plainsaw3771 not sure about that. Usually the hiring happens through an agent from their home countries. The employer sponsors their air fare one way after the workers complete 2 years. The clients I worked for in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are pretty renowned ones, to my knowledge it was not bonded labour although working conditions were bad for the workers

Addition to this, my experience with the Dubai is also not very great. At the time of arrival and immigration every single person at the staff is rude and arrogant. They treat us Indian like some second class citizen, I clearly remember the disgust look on the guy's face at the immigrations. Honestly I didn't feel welcome there at all.
I loved taking my daughter to Dubai twice a year for 3 weeks each time. After watching this video we'll find somewhere else to go.

You are absolutely right, nothing has change. As a service member, I was there in 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2010. We heard the horror stories from the foreigners that were working on base. They considered themselves the lucky ones to be working on the base.
@juma hashim The workers come from third world countries with very few job opportunities and there have been many campaigns and warnings about the terrible treatment of workers in the UAE as well as Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The point is that UAE is a wealthy country that markets itself on luxury yet the country is built on the blood and sweat of modern day slave labor. The Kafala system has been a target of human rights activists for decades. Occasionally they will pretend to change a law to appeal to the civilized world but it's all about appearance.

The richer the Arab country, the worse it will exploit anyone non Arab (maybe there are exceptions to this but I haven't seen many.). This video didn't even touch on the horrors that women migrant workers in hospitality type industries probably are suffering as well. Maids, housekeepers, and other services, the laboring women viewed as outsiders get treated like Ragdolls.

I studied in Taiwan and I had so many Indian colleagues who had the same scholarship I had, I used to live in a one room apartment that costed me 30% of the income while my Indian colleagues used to share it 8 students a room. They saved a lot of money and wired it to their families back in India.
I assumed they are not getting any income from the standard of living they had so I was shocked to know that they do get the same scholarship! And I later witnessed that when they get better scholarships, they still share room 8 students a room and they used keep asking how could live alone?! they thought its too lonely and they used to invite me to their amazing food whenever we met at the lobby.
I dont mean any offense, these were nice people, and I have always admired their maturity and ability to save for their bad days, thats something an Arab like myself cannot do. The point I am trying to make is that its hard to judge their employer from their living standards, you'd be shocked when you meet people with terrible living standard while having more money than you do. I had literally zero savings and I spent every dime I made, while they went back to India with lots of savings already.
When I was in the military we went to Dubai. I shit you not all of this is quite true. It's glitzy and impressive and it's a distraction to the inhumanity that is going on there, including human trafficking. It's horrific.

I am an IT Project Manager and yes, my passport was taken by my (sponsor) company while I worked with them. I was paid less than 1000 US at the time (1998-2000) and yes they tried to ben me when I found a better paying job working for a college and wanted to move. They considered me (unskilled labor) although at the time I had 1 MSc. in Physics. I was discriminated against because I carried an Iraqi passport. Dont fall into the Dubai/Abu Dhabi trapping - my advice after working for 20 years there

@@diegoreviewexpert2598 don't know if they do the same, but one common thing with human traffickers is asking for the passport to do a register or to take copies of the documents for your job file and never give it back. Sometimes they just straight up threat people into giving their documents or take from their rooms when they're away from their luggage.

She has friends who are influencers and some have moved to Dubai, now married with a child. She has visited a number of times and always had a good time and enjoyed her vacation. She even had an Arab boyfriend who lives in Sydney and his parents run a business in New Zealand. However, she decided to accept her Dubai friends offer to go and work and live there. She organised her rental apartment and planned on a 6 month stay. She found out that her married friends would not be available for night time social activities and therefore bonded with an Eastern European single girl for those activities. She also discovered how badly she was treated in beauty work by the clients etc and seen as nothing more than a slave and she found this unsafe! It is possible because of so many Social Influencers going into Dubai for the affluent night time scene, being a young single westerner, was probably seen as one of them and that could also have been a factor in how she may have been seen in locals eyes?
Moral is that 'The Grass" may be greener, but lush grass may come with a nasty taint!

You havent mentioned that unpaid workers are very common also in Dubai. My sister was one among them, who worked as accounts assistant in a construction company...6 months without pay plus other unpaid benefits as per the contract. And the company never paid until today...no help from the government even if she and other colleagues filed complaints/case in the court.
My sister is now back in our country and still hoping that the 6 months that she worked for will be paid someday...but how?

I recently visited Dubai in January and most of February. Stayed in a boys hostel in an older neighborhood, in Bur Dubai, full of coughing guests, but luckily didn't get sick since I was smart enough to keep my mask on throughout the entire stay. It also had a foul odor,, the whole time. Stayed for 17 nights.
Only complaint was that it smelled foul every time I entered the building, but keeping my face mask on really helped. There were also constant gnats/fruit flies in the bathroom, but got used to it. There were no washer, only dryer, so i had to go to the laundromat nearby whenever I needed, which also led me to showering less often than usual. I'm the kind of person who usually have a scratchy scalp when i shower because of the colder weather, but thankfully for the constant humidity, it was non-existent.
My friends daughter moved there and she loves it. She lives an amazing life. She truly is living the dream.

I used to go to Dubai every month to renew my visa to work in Saudi Arabia. I went to a bar for a cold beer and a tiny little Philippina about 4'8" came up to me and wouldn't leave. Then she started telling me she just got there that day. She was promised a good job as a maid and they took her passport when she landed. She looked terrified. She told me she had to do sex for money or she'd never be able to leave the country. I took her back to my hotel and told her to call whoever she needed to and tell them she was staying the night and I would pay for the whole night. I didn't want or try to have sex with her but I did pay her so she wouldn't get into trouble. She told me how horrible her treatment was when she handed them her passport. She went with me the next day to the airport and she was crying as I left her at the security checkpoint. I've always hoped she was able to escape. I would have flown her out myself if I could have. It was a horrible thing to witness and it's actually made me lose sleep.

Yes, I have been to Dubai over 10 times. I have seen the migrant workers as well. All you have to do is talk to the taxi drivers. You will get a sense of the work conditions from them. Some of them have been in the country for years and have families back home. They usually team up with other works to afford a place to live. This is not the only country in the middle east with this problem.
And yet you went 10 times to support their misery. You should stop traveling. When money stops flowing the worker will be free to go.

Ive been to dubai. I spoke to a colleague and he went to Dubai with his partner, sister-in-law and brother-in-law. He was like did you see any beggars, children or adults with disabilities or anyone one sick? My response was no not one person. Like it was said in the video like Disney land for adults. And if you don't know whats happening in Disney underneath the tunnels then you need to explore that for yourselves. The truth will always be exposed in the end. People cant pull a blind eye to it forever. Something will have to change.
There are no beggars and begging is illegal, some people get a visa and come to Dubai during Ramadan to beg because they take advantage of the extra generosity of the people during this season. The hardships that people experience in Dubai are similar to what they would in any part of the world. In fact, these people would have a worse life in their home country, which is why they choose to stay despite the struggles.
Having lived in Dubai for a couple of years, I sensed the superficiality of our existence with our lives there - where we are almost compelled to be blind, deaf and mute about the unpleasant things we are seeing behind all the glitters around us.

Please, i live in south eastern europe and minimum salary is 657 USD. This is also modern slavery. All IT corporations are here and they all pay the same, at the country level. Look on Dubai life from a person who spent 1.5 months there recently:
1. Laughable public transportation, expect to spend a lot of time driving in the car, because without it you literally wouldn't be able to move around
2. Extremely hot and unfrendly climate 2/3 of a year, which is kinda a huge factor to a comfort there.
3. Everything is artificial - there is no "natural nature", there are very few parks in a city, it's hard to put a finger on what is wrong, but it's felt a lot
4. You are mostly surrounded by only Asian immigrants apart from fancier districts
5. It's really expensive - supermarkets, services, a lot of places charge strange amount of money for no particular reason.
6. And I still not convinced that typical person there, even a qualified specialist, would have that good quality of life there because the city is so expensive. If we don't talk about very highly-paid top employees or business owners. Do most people living there earn enough to rent *their own* apartment in a more or less good place, to go out to restaurants every once in a while, have a good car and be able to travel - and still putting good money into savings? Nope.
I literally wasn't felling too happy while living there. It's like a city without soul, in which numerous people there agreed with me.
But its safe and clean there, if you have quite some money you can become a resident and live there, it's quite modern, can't take that all away.
Yeah, that's completely true. I have stayed in Dubai for 6 months and in these 6 months, I have hardly seen any local emirate family. I have seen 99% of the employees are ex-pats from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, India, and Africa (Nigeria, Keyna, etc.), other arab developing countries like (Egpyt, Jordan etc) are having slavery-trapped jobs those are actually the main guys of the liveable UAE. Those who should be treated a better life. They need to change that slavery to a better life. They snatch their passports from ex-pats and treat them like slaves. That is the biggest problem of it.

Just came back from 7 days tour with my mom, I saw most of the tourists area and happy that we came for a tour but that's all about it. We felt uncomfortable to make mistakes because of the justice system we are hearing. Actually my cousin experienced this cruelty when she work there, the salary and work is not congruent to what she was promised, so she beg to go back in our country. She was put to jail and she was banned to go back even for a tour. My cousin is an educated person and now living in Florida USA as immigrant. Thanks God she survived, but she still having PTSD on that country, specially when she learned we are going there for a visit.

I was there many years ago on a business trip. I was in awe of the wonderful architecture, still in progress. The city was under construction everywhere, but it never occurred to me that a country that oil wealthy wouldn't pay their workers a decent wage. I would have been horrified that they had forced labor, slave labor creating all of the glitter and soaring structures. Back then, it all looked glorious to me. But I would have felt differently had I known then what I have learned since.

The government and even the locals financing these projects don't have a direct say in the conditions of workers.
Everything is handled by contractors vying to get tenders by reducing their bidding price to as low as possible. In doing so, they cut corners everywhere and worker safety and conditions suffer the most

I remember stopping there on my first deployment back in '06. There were "black listed" areas that the ironically enough, pretty much everyone went directly towards and in one clothing store, I took a wrong door that appeared to be well hidden. When I went up the stairs, the entire upper area was a sweat shop. It was hot as hell up there and yes, the people looked very uncomfortable. That place was built on pain and suffering.

There are also hundreds, maybe thousands of illegal housemaids from India, The Phillipines and other parts of South Asia as well as South East Asia. These maids (most of them young girls) were promised high pays and other benefits. Some of them were even tricked with the promise of working at Casinos, malls or restaurants.However, the reality is the opposite. They were flown into Dubai with tourist visas and as soon as they reached UAE, their passports were taken from them by the employment agencies. Then they were thrown into a kind of hostel where their phones were taken from them, blocking any contact with the outside world. They were presented in front of UAE residents in need of maids and these people known as employers, pick a girl and take them home for trial. If they don't like the girl they return them after 2-3 days. If they did keep them, these girls were forced to work for 2 years i.e the duration of the contract. They were not allowed to quit before completing their contract ie 2 years. Their passports were withheld during this period. So there is no way for them to escape. These girls were treated like commodities. They worked 18 hours a day and were treated like slaves. Many of them suffered physical, mental and even sexual abuse from their employers. Many of them were not fed properly. They were mostly given leftovers and some even go on days without food. Worst of all they were underpaid. Employment agencies usually took most of their hard earned money saying that they have to pay for so called loans (plane ticket, passport, transportation fees etc etc.) Even if these poor girls wants to go back to their countries (most of them wanted to go home), the employment agencies asked them to pay them the money they have spent on them (plane tickets etc) as well as the amount they would've made if they worked for 2 years. These girls are from poor households so of course they couldn't afford. They are stuck in this hell for years with no way out. The most heartbreaking part is that they went to this dazzling city Dubai, the land of luxury and skyscrapers in search for a better life and to provide for their families back home only to find out that it is hell on earth.
I have friends who lived there..Many of those young girls get pregnant by their employees and then sent home to keep the secret hidden

Been there, seen all of it, its a modern day slavery, you have 10-15% of locals and majority of people are Indians and Pakistanians, honestly it was heart breaking hearing their stories. Even though emiratis help all people around the world, these things were major problem. Islam doesnt approve of treating people like that, and noone really has any guts to speak out or do anything about it in UAE.

Exactly. In Dubai, most Emiratis view slavery as acceptable. But in the USA, many blacks convert to Islam to seek freedom after their ancestors had been slaves under Christian masters. Example: Muhammed Ali and Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

I lived near Dubai for six months and had the opportunity to visit it several times and can confirm with everything said in this video. I was able to see the faces of Dubai the lavish and the slave trade there. Great video!
Oh-- that breaks my heart for the migrant workers. You know. 💔😢 Struggle is so difficult when the weather is very hot or very cold. I would love to see them have an accessible store near by and better housing conditions.
I'm totally baffled and saddened by this new found information, I actually went to Dubai in 2019 and all I saw was beauty, I never imagined these evils were going on in this beautiful rich country. I marveled at how I never saw a beggar on the street, how it appeared so clean, and now I'm learning the dirty truth. I wish I'd known then what I know now, I would have NEVER gone to Dubai and now that I know, I'll NEVER go back, neither will I ever encourage anyone else to go. Be better human beings! Do you know what the rich and poor have in common? DEATH! Both are going to die one day, your money won't save you and you who believe so much in your MONEY, all you will then possess is worms, maggots, and flies! Peace
