    Thanks for the tutorial! When deleting the barrel top polygons, I used the circular selection tool to select all the polygons inside the barrel, then inverted the selection and deleted all the exterior polygons. Saved quite a bit of time!

      @Gamatech123 9 лет назад

      Chris Bence I tried the same, but found it difficult to judge how big to make the circle. The tops of the side beams hang over the lid, so I couldn't see where the outline of the lid should be.

      蘇子翔 instead of providing a link with images of the render settings, ive saved a preset file of the render settings and also the render studio, i'm not sure if it will work for any version of 3ds max other than 3DS Max 2014 with V Ray 3.0. The studio is a .max file and to load the render preset all you do is go to render settings (F10) and then at the bottom it says Preset:. press the option next to it and press load preset, then just load up the file
      Download Link: www.dropbox.com/s/qpjz9rz1s5s1unf/3DS%20Max%202014%20Render%20Studio%20and%20Setting%20Preset.rar?dl=0
      Hope this works well for you :)

    Hi! Really cool work! I'm having a crack at it myself but i'm having this strange problem... at 1:29 you rotated the bed modify gizmo, but when i do it, the gizmo keeps stretching and to doesn't let me bend like you did... Any help?

    • @GamesDefined
      @GamesDefined  9 лет назад

      Firstly thank you for the comment and secondly try chain the axis in the bend modifier. That uses causes the problem you're having. Hope that helps :)

    Hello , at minute 1:29 after giving Bend a barrel is not equal to his , instead of staying with barrel-shaped , it becomes a cylinder , you know? How do I solve? I did exactly like you, but failed.

    • @GamesDefined
      @GamesDefined  9 лет назад

    Why so many polys? HOLY SHIT

    • @GamesDefined
      @GamesDefined  7 лет назад

      Because its a high poly object with detail :D

    • @ctmpodcast6901
      @ctmpodcast6901 7 лет назад

      Games Defined mate this wouldn't do too great in a game or animation/simulation. It's good practice generally to keep the poly count as low as is necessary. You could just use a smooth shader to give the appearance of more polies.

    • @GamesDefined
      @GamesDefined  7 лет назад

      CTM Podcast youre definitely right, except this was created as a high poly model, not intended to be used in games/animation

    • @ashleyez2022
      @ashleyez2022 7 лет назад

      Ye dude it says high poly in the title. Its obviously not going to be for use in games...Purely for rendering purposes, or perhaps a high budget film.
