Today I give my opinion on what I think is better, a Side by side or an ATV They both have their merits and it’s hard to pick a winner #sidebyside #atv
I drove a 4 wheeler for 30 years. I enjoyed riding it. I bought a can am commander last December. I must say I do enjoy the side by side much better. I do most my riding in the winter. I was not as cold, I was more comfortable at the end of the day. I can take my young daughter with me and feel safer with her seatbelted in beside me. My only negative so far of the side by side to wheeler is that fact that you cant use your weight to lean the side by side going up or down a hill and your at the mercy of gravity whether or not you roll.
Sxs also has a larger aftermarket because they are a little newer to the market and many people have switched to sxs over an atv. atvs have been around for a while and they are supposed to be minimalistic where as a sxs is more of a small jeep for offroad
I own a SxS; wouldn't have it any other way. But trail riding might be restricted with a wide SxS. Extended camping with a SxS is possible because as you point out the cargo capacity is much larger. A word about the "roll cage". What's commonly called a roll cage is not a roll cage without diagonal bracing. A roll cage needs diagonal bracing to keep the A & B pillars from collapsing and racking. Without the bracing, the "roll cage" is just a roof and windshield mounting bracket. It might provide some protection on a slow rollover up to about 90 deg but not much more than that.
It's a love hate thing. I had sxs and went back to an atv mainly due to the weight of a sxs. The cargo is going to be my biggest problem, or lack of on an atv. Most of my riding I'm solo on my machine so an atv is quite capable for my use. Even for camping reasons. Have a front and back rack that will hold everything I need. Also going to put a boat rack to take a canoe. Maybe get another sxs later in life but for now both summer and winter use an atv is the better choice for me
I loved the video so much opinion is the commander I love it as well but ya like u said I love an atv but I love a commander or a side by side cause u can ride aside each other so anyways like I said I like an atv but like I said the commander is better for my opinion ya like u said the storage is incredible 🙂

Lot sxs are not aloud on national forest have to be 50 inch
Any plans on a lift kit for yours? I'm debating about a small lift myself on my commander.
I will definitely at some point be doing either a 2.5” or a 4” lift.
If the money was available it would be done already
I'm not sure if u touched on this, but comfort hands down goes to a SXS
Depends, sometimes it’s nice to stand up instead of getting bounced around on rough trails
I think to everyone a atv is more fun as you ride a ATV you drive a side by side
Utv looks fun as well but way more money and storage space
Go Bruins!
Insurance is 3 times higher on a utv than an atv
SxS for the old & lazy.
Sounds like you are on a tropical island with that bird lol
The blue jays wouldn’t shut up lol
