The reason why the stations look so old design perhaps because of two reasons: 1. They want it to be designed that way, or 2. Cost-cutting I've seen early opened stations of BTS Skytrain in Bangkok on RUclips, and you know what, they are more modern (and probably bigger?) than these one. Thank you so much kamepo-san for this upload, PUTRA LRT (and STAR LRT) back then was the maiden rapid transit rail lines of Kuala Lumpur, I was only a teenager 20 years back & it was really surreal to see the KL Sentral building being constructed. Now the KL Sentral station has a connection to the MRT SBK Line; one of the MRT stations is just right next to the National Museum.
Now already changed back to University. No more KL Gateway in the announcement. Just left Glenmarie & Bangsar still include the brand at front of the station name

8:32 turns out TnG is supported since 1998 on the KJL. 8:35 now a rare sight inside the KJL train. Good luck finding a space to stand what more a seat during daytime and peak hour today.

However, land acquisition issues hindered the process, prompting the administration to find an alternative location, which will also be designed to house the trains depot." meanwhile the next KL MRT 2 is ready first quarter next year with more 50KM legth from Sg Buloh to Putrajaya.

This is so Nostalgic. The KL Sentral was under construction and the station looks so old design (on that time) despite currently new constructed.
Menara TM is also still under construction. Hard to believe so many things I and the younger generation see today did not exist just 2 decades ago
