    Yay, 4-ply, my hands can't take working with bulky. I'm going to try pocket shawl with this depending on how reverse looks. Love that you provide the multiples@

      R P whats a pocket scarf? Is it anything like a winter scarf? Anyone? Would the horizontal/stripes version of this stitch look weird? When I do long edges they go an unwelcome zigzag

    This is such a cool stitch!!!! Btw something I love to do for scarves with patterns that are one sided is , if I can, I double the width and then see it folded so the beautiful pattern is on both sides. A thinner yarn is often necessary though otherwise it’s too thick around the neck!

    I know this tutorial is 2 years old. But browsing for a throw for my granddaughter and I found this!! Absolutely beautiful! I’m doing this in dusty gray. I thought of maybe doing the top/bottom edge and trim a very light grey you think that would look nice ?

    How many skeins (or yards ) of a 4 worsted weight would you need for this blanket ?

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  3 года назад

      I'm really not sure because I haven't done a full blanket like that. I just changed the yarn due to complaints about doing the original teaching it with Bernat Blanket.

    how much yarn (Bernat blanket) will i need for border and fringe? will i need more than one full skien?

  • @prayingkoala
    @prayingkoala 3 года назад +1

    I know the Original pattern calls for blanket yarn , and you were using #4 worsted to show the stitch more clearly , but can a blanket/throw be made in this pattern with only #4 worsted weight yarn ? I have tons of worsted weight yarns and no idea what to make with it . also when would one change colors if on were doing stripes ?

      I am using the lighter weight, but I’m in the process so I’m not sure how much I’ll need. However, I’m using a pale gray-white tweed (Bernat baby coordinates) with the same white solid alternating the gray tweed as background and the white riding up the sides as the herringbone. Plan to use 1 strand of each for the fringe we will see how it goes.

    Hi. When you’re doing the stitch into the 2nd space down, isn’t that really a horizontal post? That’s what I have in my mind to make it easier to remember. 😁

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 года назад

      If you want to refer to that as that, you can if you helps you to remember it that way. There's no wrong things in crochet.

    I have tried to make this with the colour I have I have Barnett blanket silver steel and I can’t see the stitch so I’m looking for a pattern that I can make with my brunette blanket yarn. Any suggestions please

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  3 года назад +1

      Yarnspirations has a huge list of bernat blanket projects that you can surf through. With variegated yarn, you will want a pattern without a lot of texture as you really cannot see it.

    My blanket is uneven along the sides how can I fix??

    • @TheCrochetCrowd
      @TheCrochetCrowd  2 года назад

      You have to figure out why that is so you can avoid that in the future. You could add a single crochet border to hide it a bit. It depends how out of shape it is . Sounds like you may be adding or subtracting stitches to cause that.
