watching this made me realise how grown up SHINee are. It's not that they look old or anything like that, because they really don't. But there is a sophistication in their dance routines, music, fashion and just the way they present themselves in general that really shows off their seniority. They are just so elegant and entrancing, and their stage presence can't help but draw you in. At the same time they remain humble with an almost rookie mindset, and everything they release is simultaneously a breath of fresh air and a feeling of coming home. For me , all this combined is what makes SHINee such a stand out group.

Okay. I haven't been a Shawol such a long time, but since the tragedy, since the Good Evening perfomance and since THIS, I feel like they opened up. Now they show their true abilities, their true feelings, that they hid behind some transaprent wall. I can see they are SHINING. They perform with such passion and anger, that I can't seem to get out of my head. I'm so grateful, that I got to know them.
You realize this performance took place less than six months after Jonghyun died, right? The more time that passes, the more shocking it is to me that they resumed touring and performing as a group so quickly after his suicide. I'd guess there was a clause or two in their contracts for the tour that would certainly allow for cancellation or postponement of tour dates if one of the group's members fucking DIED. Plus, SM's story is that after Jonghyun's death SM left it up to his mother as to whether or not the tour should go forward. Now I don't believe that story for a minute, but how would it makes sense for them to ask her permission if there was no way they could cancel the tour anyway? Musicians cancel or postpone performance dates all the time, occasionally even at the last minute. There is a very popular group in the U.S. called the Fujis. Last year their drummer, a founding member of the group from years ago, passed away unexpectedly just before they were to begin a nationwide, extended tour. The group CANCELED all dates and said they would decide how to go forward later, if at all, but that they were too heartbroken and shattered to even think about touring without him immediately THAT is how group members who care about each other act when one of them dies. They don't start rehearsing the day after a funeral to figure out how to replace or simply eliminate the need for a drummer/member they loved. And they're not dancing around on a stage and high-fiving each other SIX WEEKS after their loved one passed away. They would be in deep mourning and frankly unable to do justice to their music. The four surviving members of SHINee didn't give a shit, they just went right ahead as though Jonghyun wasn't the pivotal singer and main source of energy and charisma onstage.. They're disgusting.

Okay. I haven't been a Shawol such a long time, but since the tragedy, since the Good Evening perfomance and since THIS, I feel like they opened up. Now they show their true abilities, their true feelings, that they hid behind some transaprent wall. I can see they are SHINING. They perform with such passion and anger, that I can't seem to get out of my head. I'm so grateful, that I got to know them.
You realize this performance took place less than six months after Jonghyun died, right? The more time that passes, the more shocking it is to me that they resumed touring and performing as a group so quickly after his suicide. It feels like, "oh well, that happened, but what can you do, ya know? Let's party!"

@@Chipubear lol No, YOU are clueless and naive. Contracts are broken all the time, for a myriad of reasons. I'd guess there was a clause or two in their contracts for the tour that would certainly allow for cancellation or postponement of tour dates if one of the group's members fucking DIED. Plus, SM's story is that after Jonghyun's death SM left it up to his mother as to whether or not the tour should go forward. Now I don't believe that story for a minute, but how would it makes sense for them to ask her permission if there was no way they could cancel the tour anyway?
Musicians cancel or postpone performance dates all the time, occasionally even at the last minute. There is a very popular group in the U.S. called the Fujis. Last year their drummer, a founding member of the group from years ago, passed away unexpectedly just before they were to begin a nationwide, extended tour. The group CANCELED all dates and said they would decide how to go forward later, if at all, but that they were too heartbroken and shattered to even think about touring without him immediately THAT is how group members who care about each other act when one of them dies.
They don't start rehearsing the day after a funeral to figure out how to replace or simply eliminate the need for a drummer/member they loved. And they're not dancing around on a stage and high-fiving each other SIX WEEKS after their loved one passed away. They would be in deep mourning and frankly unable to do justice to their music. The four surviving members of SHINee didn't give a shit, they just went right ahead as though Jonghyun wasn't the pivotal singer and main source of energy and charisma onstage.. They're disgusting.
