I really dig your 1:24 scale monster truck builds and now I'm starting on one myself. I just received the devastator I ordered and I'm looking for a trans. I was thinking of using an axial scx 24 transmission but they seem to be hard to find right now.

Have you thought about using the axial scx24 platform for building one of these? I took a few quick measurements and everything seems to matchup perfectly. Then you could just use everything axles and all electronics from the scx24.
The problem with scx24 axles is the have worm drive gears in the diffs so that means permanent 100% drag brake no matter what electronics you use. Great idea but the worm gears kinda ruin it.

you can also buy the ftx tracer, its great and very cheap! the cheaper older version goes 30 km/h and the newer version goes 50km/h (30 m/h) for less than 200!

Hi, do you know if I would be able to use the spinmaster Grave Digger 1/24 shell and fix it to the 1/24 Axial Deadbolt rock crawler? Or is there more to it than that I don't want to be removing wires and clipping the frame id just like to straight swap and maybe swap the wheels too is that possible?
I feel like just mounting the chassis and body over the frame would be more effective and cheaper. Now I could see do the whole swap if you upgrade everything like the brushless one.

I built a heavily modified FTX Outback, used Axial AX10 axles, homemade motor mount to move the motor up so I could use a bigger motor, moved battery to the front, new esc etc so i can use a 2c lipo, better shocks, links and full set of lights.
I'm wondering if I can buy JUST the axles and not the entire truck. When I look up the axles, it comes up as a housing without any gears. I'm wondering if I need my own gears. Thank you for your time.

I built a toy grade 1/10 rc Lamborghini and made it hobby grade-ish haven't taken it out yet but so for its good just needs some support on the servo.
