- On this week’s episode of Van Life Australia, we are still in the Warrumbungle National Park, where we decided to tackle the Grand High Tops and Breadknife Walk, one of the top 10 hikes in all of Australia. The trail starts in native bushland where you can see kangaroos and echidnas hanging out in the grass and by the creeks before climbing steeply up towards the Breadknife, one of the most iconic rock formations in the entire country.
Hiking the Grand High Tops Walk and Breadknife is 14km long and will take you most of a day. Make sure you prepare for the trek with plenty of water and snacks, as well as warm clothes and wet weather gear just in case it starts raining. And if you’re looking for an epic adventure in New South Wales, you can’t miss out on hiking the Warrumbungles.

This hike epic mate. 🤠10/10 mate. Shoutout to Dr Di Dala mate for taking me and my mates there mate.
Just incredible and I drove through there 20 years ago . A German lady said that if you like forests , beaches and deserts , see Australia but if you want to see mountains go to New Zealand because Australia has none . If people listened to her then people will miss out on this amazing national park even if New Zealand is considered the most beautiful place in earth . I loved the Warrubungles and would love to do a hike there !
Thanks for this overview, planning to head out there in a couple of weeks.
Thank you for sharing this video it has given me great insight what I face tomorrow as I make that trek unfortunately the weather will be overcast so I to won’t be able to do astrophotography, there’s always another time I love the Warren bangles. It has the most positive energy about it.
Nice vid mate. Was there in Jan this year. Loved the this walk too. 😃👍
Thank you so much. It is such a beautiful area. We had no idea it existed. Glad you had a great hike (or two). :)
Looks like a great hike shame you didn't get the best weather... I'm a bit fussy when it comes to weather, love my blue skies!
I know. You can't win them all. Blue skies are better and clear skies for astrophotography :)
Just subscribed to your channel. Awesome video of the Warrumbungles. I remember going there as a kid. When Queensland opens up their border, I will do a trip to the Warrumbungles and stay a few nights.
Hi Gordon, thank you for subscribing. Glad you enjoyed the video and it bought back great memories for you. Hopefully those orders open up soon. So much exploring to be done. We live in a beautiful country here.
Alesha and Jarryd NOMADasaurus I certainly agree we live in a beautiful country. Since this pandemic started, I’m traveling around Queensland now.

Hi, welcome to our channel. Thank you so much. Happy adventures.
Weird question but hope you reply. How do you travel around the world full time?
We run a number of online businesses and work very hard on them with our team. :)
We hiked this trail today, except we added in the extra hike up Bluff Mountain! What an amazing, epic hike.
Just wondering what hand held mount you use for your gopro8?
That is awesome. How amazing is the area?! It blow our minds. We use a selfie stick. We have the little on me that came with the GoPro and got a longer one.
how come you didnt want to hike all the way up to bluff mountain?
There was no particular reason. We just decided to miss it this time. Have you been up there?
@@nomadasaurus nope but i wanna give it a go sometime
