I had been looking for a walkthrough for this particular case without any luck. When I started watching this for the shortcuts I realized how serendipitous. Thanks for the education.
Perfect video, I was struggling so much to find all the shortcuts you use in your videos 🤩 I still have difficulties because I’m using an azerty keyboard (for exemple Alt+H+6 is Alt+L+6 and so on…) That’s still very helpful, thanks !
I am here just to watch how you do financial modeling and how can I further improve and learn, the major takeaways from this video for me was that you can use 'sumifs' like a nested if function, secondly one other point looked really logical to me and that was the period in which the construction ends and the actual revenue start that is in year 2 (month 13) where you simply reference a previous cell to get the job done, I probably would have used a different and more complex logic if I were doing this on my own and that is one of the primary reason that I watch your videos that you solve complex things with such simplicity and easy logics which is phenomenal and amazes me. P.S. I knew most of the shortcuts, the title of the video implies that shortcuts should be the real takeaway from this video however for me it was something else fortunately. Thank you Diarmuid, this channel is just a gold mine :)
Thanks Asad! I figured it would be more useful to make a video where I'm building an actual model to demonstrate the shortcuts rather than having a video that just showed shortcuts.
@@DimEarly Yeah but still I would be more interested in learning the logics and functions than shortcuts, shortcut I feel is something that you tend to find out yourself as you go along the path.
Hi , Great video i just bought the ultimate bundle cases from Financial Modelling World Cup (especially inventory management which was very difficult for me) and i learned so much with your videos even if i had already an experience as a project finance analyst. If you plan to develop more case studies for FMWC , can you put a video so i can buy it. Thanks to you and your advice, i am learning and growing.
Thanks Abde, great to hear that these are helping you! They usually only have any one person write one or two cases per season for the FMWC, so it will probably be a little while before my next one comes up - but there will certainly be a video about it when it does...
Yes, Ctrl + Shift + Right to expand the selection to the right, then Alt + Tab moves the active cell from the top-left cell in the selection to the bottom-right, then Ctrl + Shift + Right to shrink the selection to the right. In general, Ctrl + Shift + Right will expand to the right, but if your selection has multiple columns and your active cell is on the right, it will shrink it to the right / from the left instead - the same applies to other directions. If you're in the top-left to start then Alt + Tab will get you there, otherwise you can use Ctrl + . to cycle around the corners of the selection.
Hi, firstly great video!, is it possible that you linked wrong case from FM shoop? I wanted to buy this case to follow you but when I opened link you attached I got a felling that this was not the right one?
Thanks Wojciech, glad to hear you enjoyed it! You're right, I put the wrong link - looks like I left the link to one of my other recent ones... here's the right link (I've also updated in the video description): www.fmworldcup.com/product/stage-2-2020-charging-station/

The video we all needed! Thanks for the great upload
Haha - that’s the kind of enthusiasm I love to see!
Amazing, as always!

Hello LTT fans! 👋
How do you do the paste selection at 11:54 of the Roulette video? Expand selection to the right, and then reduce selection from the left?
Yes, Ctrl + Shift + Right to expand the selection to the right, then Alt + Tab moves the active cell from the top-left cell in the selection to the bottom-right, then Ctrl + Shift + Right to shrink the selection to the right.

Is it Alt+Tab or Shift+Tab? In my computer, Alt Tab changes the active program.
@@steve_yu Agree it is Shift Tab
@@steve_yu Yup, Shift + Tab 🤦♂️
For the next meme video, Diarmuid makes a tier list for Excel formulas (and animates it in Excel too) 👀
You joke, but Excel is great for animation! : )
For instance... twitter.com/DimEarly/status/895865808588550144
@@DimEarly Not a joke. I was blown away when you played Snake in Excel. Now I wonder if you were the chap behind Doom.xls 👀
