    Hello everyone, welcome to my channel. Like so many others, my lifestyle changed due to the pandemic.
    Before the pandemic, my families lives had become so hectic & busy that there never seemed to be a good time to travel anymore. Somewhere along the line we realized that our last vacation was in 2011. We decided that it was time we made some travel plans.
    Then the pandemic hit! I no longer wanted to travel by plane or stay in a hotel. We decided that a bettter and safer alternative would be to travel in our own vehicle, one that we could also sleep in, cook our own meals in, vacation in. The rest is history!
    However, the RV shopping process is not easy and required a lot of research. I want to share what I have learned along with my ongoing experiences and adventures through my channel which offers:
    RV tours / walkthroughs
    Camping destinations
    Hiking
    RV modifications & DIYs
    RV Cooking
    And much more…..
    So I invite you to come along with me on this ongoing RV journey.

    👏👏👏👏. Good for you!!!! Where was quality control before it even left the factory? This is my one big problem with all RV builders! Over priced with no quality control, this never should have left the factory in my opinion! Class ‘b’s have doubled in msrp, time people started walking away from shoddy workmanship! Who wants to spend well over $100,000. with having your RV end up in the shop for days and days if not worse weeks!

      I agree and you would not believe some of the stuff I have found when walking through RVs. RV dealerships tend to not fix anything until after someone wants to purchase. Then they require a deposit and a week of fixing just to get it ready for your delivery date. It is really bad when they spend a week fixing it and it still has so many issues that it can not pass a PDI. I have walked away from a few RVs because of quality issues. People need to stop accepting poor quality for this to change ... but unfortunately there are many people willing to buy with just a promise that it will be fixed after purchase. Thanks for Watching!

      Earlier this year I purchased a new Thor Tellaro, I conducted 3 PDI's on 3 different RVs before I found one that I would accept and drive home. This is the first of your videos I have taken a look at. I thought you did a nice job with the walk through. I am currently looking at a Revel and agree with your assessmnent that Thor is trying to target that segment of tha market. With that being said, did the TT have the ability to go full Litihum thus eliminating the need for propane and the generator? If so, do you have and idea of the additional cost. Thanks!

    Hello, Nice walk through and great attention to detail. I ordered a 19p with the dual lithium batteries just a little over a month ago. I was told it would be available 3 weeks ago and still waiting. After seeing this video I'm not sure if I made the right choice. Do you still plan on going with the the Thor Tranquility? I've looked at a few other vans (American and Winnebago) and this seemed as good of quality with a few exceptions.

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 года назад +2

      I am still looking at the Thor Tranquility / Sanctuary only because my previous purchase of my 2021 Thor Tellaro I had the first two fail PDI as well but after I found one that passed I was relatively happy with the purchase. All RVs have issues and some more than others. Of course customers should not be expected to purchase RVs with major or any issues for that matter so the RV should be thoroughly inspected before purchasing. However once you purchase the RV you just need to be prepared to fix some of issues yourself or wait for months for the dealership to correct them. Thanks for Watching!

    I am purchasing a Tellaro 20AT from La Mesa @ Sanford. I have been for inspection 2 times and the Coach has been not been close to ready. I am waiting for the generator now to be fixed since it runs only for 5 min and then shuts down on its own. Thor is having really bad issues on quality right now. First inspection was around the 25 of June, its August 15 and no Coach yet. I hope you have a better experience with your new purchase. Wish you best of luck.

      I am sorry to hear about your experience. I had an excellent experience with my first purchase in Sanford with the Tellaro. For this second purchase, one of the reasons I refused to take delivery (sign the paperwork) is because I refused to be trapped into waiting on service departments to correct the issues as you have no real leverage once you have signed the paperwork ... Sanford offered to allow me to take delivery and bring it back in a couple of days to get the items repaired ....sure! Right now I can still walk away if things do not get corrected. Great attention to detail on your walk thru. What made you consider the 19B over the 19L? I am more of an overlander and when I see the LP fill behind the mud flap I cringe plus the gray water drainage under the coach just seems like something to get hung up on Offroad. Nice alternative to the Revel it seems.

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 года назад +1

      I am leaning toward the 19P layout over the 19L because I found the 19L to be very tight between the bathroom and kitchen (for example, trying to open the refrigerator), the 19L's bathroom did not have the two position doors allowing for more room, and the 19P has an electric folding bed that is much lower to the floor. Also, Thor has recently updated the grey tank valve and it is now much higher than the earlier models. Thanks for Watching!

      @@Adventure-Mom Thanks for the Lithium response. Last question - Is the fact that the Sanctuary is Diesel and your Telaro was gas, did that sway your decision? By the way, how does the Sancyuary drive compared to the Telaro?

    • @Adventure-Mom
      @Adventure-Mom  2 года назад +1

      David, np ask questions as that is what these forums are for. Yes, the Diesel played a role in my decision because I needed the higher torque for towing my Can Am Ryker. The higher torque also allows me to cruise easier at highway speeds. The negatives are that Diesel can be harder to find and the generator no longer runs off the gas tank (like the Tellaro) as it is propane. Also, the Mercedes platform is easier to drive for me. The Ram platform seemed to require constant steering inputs at higher speeds and the Mercedes does not. Otherwise they both drive nice. Thanks for Watching!

      The base Tellaro purchase prices range between $80-$90K and the base Tranquility purchase prices are ranging between $118-$128K. The Tellaro is on the cheaper Ram Platform and the Tranquility is on the more expensive Mercedes diesel 4X4 platform. Most RVs have some quality issues, but I would have expected that most of those items would have been caught and corrected before I came for the PDI. With that said, It looks like Thor is targeting the Winnebago Revel ($180-$190K) with this latest B-Class offering. Thanks for Watching!

      Yes I test drove the Tranquility which is obviously on the Mercedes Sprinter diesel 4X4 platform and really loved the way it drove ... especially at higher speeds (75-80 mph). The problem is that the layout is a bit tight. If only Thor could take the layout of the Scope 18M and place it on the Mercedes platform ... to me that would be a perfect B-Class RV. Out of the 4x4 Mercedes platform does this looks like the best deal to you? I keep going back and forth with the revel and storyteller. The revel is around 140,000 and the storyteller around 150,000. My minds going crazy. Thanks for the great video and your thoughts.

    • @Adventure-Mom

      I have looked at all 3 and I concluded that the storyteller bathroom system was not for me. The Revel was very pricy ($170K+) and I was able to negotiate the base Tranquility down to $115k. My thought is that I can do a lot of upgrades with the extra $55K in my pocket so I decided to go for the Tranquility. With that said, my Tranquility did not pass my PDI (awning was main issue) so I refused delivery. The dealership does not seem to know how to fix it and started giving me the run around.
