- This is for luvtheheaven5's reverse request challenge. She gave me a few options for videos and I chose this one as it was the one I was most inspired for. In fact, I was VERY inspired so I basically worked on it 3 days straight trying to get everything just right. Emily was hoping I'd only include fandoms she knows but she also let me use some others she might consider watching (such as House and 49 Days). And she also helped me out with fandoms I didn't know so well (such as OTH, GA and PP) to point out episodes that had scenes I could use. Oh and she also clipped some for me which was very helpful so thank you:D
I took some artistic liberties too lol. I know Emily doesn't know Everwood that well but I know she likes Emily VanCamp so I figured it would be okay to use Amy's depression storyline. And then there are a few clips from another Korean drama because I didn't know how else to match the last "telephone" lyric perfectly. It's all pretty self-explatonary I think.
It was a lot of fun to render this one. I did it in parts because Vegas kept crashing even before rendering thanks to all the different file types lol. And then the coloring got completely messed up in the final render so I had to re-do it. And then of course the song was blocked worldwide so I did it once more xD There are a couple of minor glitches but I guess I can live with them;)

(Part 4) radio" with Haley singing and various creative matches like that was perfect. The Haley candle piano scene was a really creative choice for "no need to go and blow the candle out". I loved that too! I also really loved Nikita to Alex for "take it from someone who's been where you're at", seriously you matched that so well and with a lot of scenes - more than you needed to really but the extra effort is totally appreciated on my end! Starting off the video with Jeremy matched to Haley's
This is amazing, I honestly believe that something like this could have gone terribly wrong and wouldn't have done anyone who has been through this or the characters (no offense to your editing it was amazing but because it's a difficult situation) but you did the exact opposite, you made it work. Suicide is very close to my heart and you showed all the different emotions you go through when it's happened in such a beautiful way you nearly made me cry! :)
Part 1: I could honestly watch this video on replay for hours and hours. The anti-suicide topic itself is very important to me for personal reasons. I'm only really familiar with a few of the fandoms, but I enjoyed watching all the storylines of the characters that I didn't know. Your beat and lyrical matching was fantastic as always, and I especially liked the scene 1:51 showing Karofsky's dream for the future for the lyric "the best is yet to come."

Oh the love I have for you for using Everwood. What a little gem of a show that was. I connected to that show so much. The year it started I moved to a small town in Colorado like the Browns did and when it ended I left my small Colorado town for school like the kids did. They even once mentioned my town on the show which I thought was cute. Anyway rambling aside you displayed this topic well! I hope you do well.

I've seen all of Glee and how could I forget to mention Naley? Of course I appreciated that, too! And I love Everwood. AMAZING. Can't say enough good things about it!
Yeah I also need to watch House from start to end but I am more in the mood for Everwood. ;) But about House - you got me very curious to see that finale (eventually). :P And btw I love that you managed to even match the "can't get you on the telephone" lyrics and used extra fandoms (or at least 1 extra, maybe you would've used House either way) just so that they could be matched haha, it shows how dedicated you are to lyric matching. Also, I truly LOVE *all* the "I'm scared as hell" matches. :P
Part 2: Also I have just started watching Skins and have just got to Effy's depression storyline so I really loved those scenes as well. I also noticed and really liked the contrast of scenes where the characters were more in a "manic" state vs. times they were more "vulnerable." I'm not sure if i worded that right, but I hope you understood what I was trying to say, lol. Anyway, thanks for choosing to make this video for luvtheheaven5's reverse request contest, it's a very powerful video.
I asked Everwood vidders for help and no one could help me - you weren't an Everwood vidder so I guess I didn't think to ask you lol! :P Well if you can help that would be really helpful. Yeah I loved the use of Blaine for that lyric too, it was a tricky lyric and it wouldn't really matter what you did there but you actually did something *perfect* for it so yeah I noticed all those things and more! Thanks for doing my idea beyond justice. I'm SO glad you were inspired by this song/idea. :D
That is Dan Scott from the show One Tree Hill, yes, if you're talking about the clip at 1:15 and he's the one dying actually... I can tell you who the kids are - and 2 of his grandchildren, they're Nathan & Haley's children Jamie & Lydia. Nathan & Haley's ship name is Naley. They're pretty popular in the vidding world/community here on RUclips, the whole fandom is... so you might have come across some OTH stuff before. ;) Maybe even you've heard of Naley.

(Part 3) I love the voiceover at the end! Denny... It sums up the song so well and was a really great anti-suicide voiceover, because so many people have lost people they cared about to suicide and can relate to it and this song is from the point of view of someone who is "scared as hell" that the person they care about will commit suicide. Wow, this was SO well done!! Absolutely amazing. It had me tearing up! I loved each and every scene you chose (even if I didn't know the show) but things like Bree and Karen, and Derek and Meredith, and Kurt!! (that's when I really lost it!) and of course AMY & HAROLD -- YOU'RE KILLING ME. Everwood is my favorite show of all time so seeing that included was PERFECTION. Seriously, your editing is amazing. Part 2: The "turn this up on the radio" was the most challenging lyric and I'm so happy to hear you thought it was matched creatively:D The "You can" was from when Addison's mother's girlfriend (?) was dying, it's kinda similar to Amy's boyfriend dying and she's also blaming a doctor in the other scene.Oh and I posted this as a response now, thanks:D

(Part 5) voiceover really was an intense and perfect way to start off the whole video!! Ah I could go on and on. This was just perfect all around. Love all the voiceovers in the middle so much too and the text on screen was a nice touch. :P I am going to stop now with the specifics but I love so much more about this, truly. ;)

One of my favorite Nickelback songs, and I am not disrespecting other opinions on how it helped for them, but when I watched the official music video, it showed that the husband and mother were having a baby in the hostpital, but when the baby came out there was blood on it and the husband had to wait, he got news saying that the mother died, but the baby made it, and handed him the baby, but for others with depression, suidce thoughts, or almost killed themselves, and just a little depression, it helped them, just like how it did to me. It helped me think on the bright side, and the sun is shining for a reason, and that there will be a more positive life coming

I'm in the mood for so many shows but I'm trying to stick with one for now, still 3 seasons to go xD I ended up including House 5x09 as well because it fit the theme but most of it is from 8x22. And the ep 5x20 I was watching while uploading was all about suicide actually, "funny" coincidence;) But yeah I was actually thinking about the telephone lyric when I asked to use House in the first place, thanks for the appreciation xD

Yeah watching this I realized you maybe were thinking about the telephone lyric when you asked to include it. ;) And I've already seen a lot of season 5 actually, so that sounds familiar - there was a marathon on USA a few years ago when I was at a friends house, like a Sunday after a sleepover, and a bunch of us just watched like 10 episodes of House in a row on TV; they were all season 5 episodes, like the ones that sum up the season so some middle ones were skipped or something? Idk lol. :P
but i made a promise before he died to keep living i made that promise 6 years ago & never forgot it's that easy to forget something like that

Idk how many it was but it was a LOT... I'm pretty sure it was like morning when we started and evening when we finished. It's been a while now though - that was like right after season 5 aired I think. ;) So it's all kinda vague. I kind of remember that I'd seen this video: /watch?v=ZuwEHPL4y2M before seeing the episodes though. :P So maybe it was like June or July 2009? :P I'd seen a bunch of various reruns before then too over the previous years.
