    1. I disable the L-cluster;
    2. The auto-save missclick even happening in Iron Mode;
    3. Not sure if just me but I swear sometimes I press [space] but the game never pauses;
    4. AI gang-up against you ignoring their ethics just like Firaxis Civilization´s AI;
    5. The AI started to add ships to your template so all of sudden you "ordered" 43 vettes and 12 destroyers instead of 40 vettes and 10 destroyers.

    The thing I have is when an AI that I formed a defensive pact with goes to war with somebody and it refuses to settle status quote meaning I have to wait 20 years for the AI to achieve the war goal or help it (do it by myself) achieve the war goal and getting nothing in return it's annoying and feels like something that should be different

    For number 1 I'd say the L-cluster being used as an insta teleportation by the AI forcing you to disable it or build the cheesy station with max shooting range...

    One thing about randomness... it's totally not intuitive.
    Long story short: Probability is a really weird and complex thing and it's often counter-intuitive, we simple humans tend to struggle with it ;)
    Of course, I don't know how good the randomness-algorithm in Stellaris is (I'd need to see the underlying math / code / generator for that... and it would probably be beyond my level of understanding anyway) and I don't have enough experience (started playing seriously about a week ago though I've been binging pretty hard) to have an opinion on that either.
    But there's one thing I'd like to point, because it's something a lot of people don't understand, and something that feels really weird (even if you know how it works in theory.)
    imagine a theoretical perfect die (as in, the singular of dice; another thing lots of people don't know, as far as I can tell :D). Because this die is perfect, every time you roll it, it should give you a random roll from 1 to 6. That means that every time you roll, it doesn't matter what you rolled last time, the die doesn't 'remember', metaphorically speaking.
    So even if you've just rolled two 6's in a row, if you roll a third time, another 6 is just as likely as any other number. Rolling three 6's is very unlikely, but every individual roll does not affect the next one. That's why, sometimes it feels like the universe (or a random number generator, which is what the universe basically is in my view) is following a certain pattern when in fact, it's being more random than we think it is.
    Human brains (yes, all of them) love to see patterns where there are none; seeing patterns helps us survive, hence.
    If anyone reading finds this kind of thing interesting, look up the Monty Hall Problem.. it's a doozy. Took me quite a while to understand why it gives the result that it does, even after reading some explanations.

    End game lag is the real most annoying thing in Stellaris

    Losing high level leaders to old age is frustrating, losing high level leaders that have gained immortality to avoid that to senility is worse. What's the point of making them not die of old age if they can still randomly be kicked out as they get older?

    For the wonky sectors, I usually hold off until I get habitats and can make the sector capital from there to include as many planets as possible.
    Also I would like to nuke the war exhaustion mechanic from orbit with an overcast pit of shades.

    My god, *yes* The bloody pop-ups are so annoying! I gave up trying to get into Stellaris; learning the game was unbelievably frustrating when my screen got filled with pop ups every 10 damn seconds. Finally, someone else agrees.

      The pop ups actually slow down as you go. You can also slow the game down yourself lop

    What annoys me the most is having to endlessly micromanage buildings on dozens of planets.

    • @ares106

      @@ColonelDamneders yes I think their design philosophy is going in the wrong direction. I think the vast majority of players would prefer to manage 4-5 interesting planets as opposed to dozens of samey planets.
      I wish someone would design a space game where habitable planets are very rare in the universe. But each one is very unique with their own map and even multiple factions could control parts of the same planet. Less is more!

    I agree 100% with your list! Not all of them can be changed like who you spawn next to, but others could be fixed with varrying degrees of dificulty.

    I Hate
    3. Vassal spam - when every A.I. rushes to surrender their independence.
    2. Power creep - suddenly 1 million fleet power is pathetic.
    1. 3.8/Paragons - has destroyed Stellaris - it's now a completely different game to what I bought.

    Since I prefer to manage all my colonies manually, (Hotkeys a must) I enjoy taking my time with a play through. Like days/weeks with a break now and then for a day or so. So for me my biggest irritation is an update that either destroys my strategy or methodology. The last one screwed me up because I like to spam science ships exploring and surveying/investigating in separate waves early on and make sure I have a governor in each sector.
    Obviously this approach is impossible with a lousy 6 leaders. I avoided playing until they fixed that nonsense. Their blatant prejudice against wide players is a disgrace. I should transmit a message to my stellar counsel member about this outrage.
