Devotional - God Will Not Walk Out On You! - David Wilkerson
A young pastor called me some time ago, ready to quit the ministry. The Lord had been using this young man in a wonderful way. But now he was discouraged - feeling worthless, useless, no good to God at all.
You see, he and his wife had been having a lot of marital troubles. They’d had terrible arguments, and it kept getting worse. He said he had prayed for months that God would heal their relationship, but it had only gotten worse. He told me he’d spent more time praying about that than anything else in his life and ministry.
Then late one evening, after a devastating argument with his wife, he walked out. Immediately, he let out his anger at God. “Why won’t You help us, Lord?” he cried.
In his anger and despair, he went back to an old habit from which he had been delivered - alcohol. He said, “I just lost it completely. I went out and started to drink.” He came home in the wee hours of the morning, nearly drunk. His wife panicked at seeing him that way; suddenly it looked as if it had developed into a hopeless nightmare.
Instead of repenting after his drinking episode, the young man did what Adam did in the Garden: He hid himself from God! He told his wife, “It’s no use. I might as well quit the ministry and get a job pumping gas. I can’t face you or anybody else over this.”
When he called me, he was devastated. He said, “Brother Dave, I feel like quitting. I just can’t face this. I drank, but I hated every minute of it. I said to myself, ‘Why am I doing this?’ I knew it was because I was angry at God. Why hadn’t He heard my prayers?”
He sounded so broken, so beaten down. I felt no judgment toward this man. On the contrary - I felt only God’s love and compassion for him.
Now, what he’d done was utterly terrible. When a preacher has an argument with his wife, he doesn’t just go out and drink. No - he runs to God, to his secret closet. Indeed, all of us are to trust the Lord in such a time. We’re to cry out to Him, “Father, take this burden from me!”
I didn’t lecture the young pastor or rebuke him. Instead, I began to pray silently: “Dear Lord, what can I say to this man that will heal his troubled soul? What do You have for him - what comfort from Your Spirit, Your Word?”

God doesn't actually do anything, never has never will. Prove A god exists, then prove its the simpleton from ypur book of fables.
My God does exist . I know because He has made miracles happen in my life . He has saved me from things most people don’t survive. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you . I can promise you this, you will meet him, either in this life or your next but you will meet Him. I was a decade long heroin addict , did meth for almost 15 yrs . I’m only 32 now . Went to prison in 2017, as an atheist who had no intention of quitting , even after a huge OD and being in a coma . God found me in a prison cell and changed me somehow . Almost 5 yrs sober . I’ve fallen so many times , and I’m so blessed God never gave up.
God will see you through and the work that He started in you will be completed until the day of Christ Jesus.

Was a heroin addict as well 8 years on the streets of Denver Colorado! I believe the most exciting day of my life was when I realized that God really was real and Jesus was alive! We are truly blessed my friend most of us don't make it
I was addicted to pills for year's and He set me free i had no withdrawal and people have told me there's no way you wouldn't go through withdrawal symptoms but Jesus did take them away i praise God for His mercy if He will do it for me He will do it for you

I was born again in April of 2019 . Wonderfully saved and filled with the Spirit and walked with God everyday. Last year i went through some great trials and i fell back into sin. I thought it was all over and God was done with me. But He let me know He still loved me and have been restored. I lost everything , my business , family, and was living in my truck. But when i realized He loved me still i crawled in the back of that truck and began to pray , everyday. In a matter of months hes restored almost everyyhing. .His peace and love most of all but my business and a home. He is so faithful and good to us! What a wonderful Savior!

I recently fell away from God...becoming a carnal

However, Jesus heard my prayers! One evening about a year ago I had a dream...this may sound
strange...but I was offered
2 rings in the dream...One was a cameo ring and the other was a silver ring with the word Mercy written on it...I immediately chose the Mercy ring without hesitation...for you see...I needed Mercy in my situation!!
The cameo ring I was told was about carnality...about me! I have definitely repented of my sins and asked God for peace in this situation! God allowed me to hear this message today to confirm once again how much He truly loves me! His Mercy
endures forever ♥!
In addition, I purchased a silver ring similar to the one in my dream and had the word Mercy engraved on it.
So you were previously enlightened and the Holy Spirit left to make you a carnal Christian? Did you get the same godly conviction back when he returned?

In the Bible there was a King~ who lost his mind~ and went and ate grass for 7 years, and became well. We do not eat enough Green leafy to get the B vitm that are nourishing to our nervous systems and help us mentally. Eat spinach, kale, cabbage, broccoli, lettuce, etc..... and liver from grass fed animals.

I’m a man who fell away from the church into sin back in 2006 and yes because of a woman and this very year it almost happened again.
Look, you can’t have one foot in the world and one foot in Christ and be a true overcomer. If you want to protect yourself from falling away you HAVE TO PUT ON THE FULL ARMOR OF GOD...Ephesians 6
You have to walk by the Spirit every day. Get your mind off Netflix and get your heart back into His word. You need to increase your prayer life drastically as well and make sure you are praising and exulting God and thanking God in your prayers way more than you are asking for needs. If you have a high view of God so will your life!! Start that high view in your prayers and then incorporate that into your life. We fall because we are not walking by His Spirit for he who walks by the spirit will not lust after the flesh, right? Right!!
Stand strong, walk in the Spirit, and put on the FULL ARMOR OF GOD not just one piece Christian. And know you are a child of God and that greater is He that’s in you than he that’s in this world.

God is good!!! He's good all the time even though we are often not good! Praise God for his patience and steadfast love ! We don't deserve it! Yes, his wrath is coming on all ungodliness and impurity, but while there is still time of grace, let's not take it in vain or abuse it. Let's use God's grace and mercy towards us to be changed.

Glory to God. I am a child of God!
I'm testament to this. I was saved at 16. On fire for Jesus, then turned away when my family disintegrated. I was angry, confused and disillusioned. This was the first of many bad decisions. But I returned 6 years ago, in my early 50s. I never thought I could, or would ever want to again. But HE is SO good❤ He wooed me back, not because I deserved it. But because of His amazing grace. I would never encourage turning away, because I can tell you...the Devil will absolutely eat you up out there. It is ONLY THE GOODNESS OF GOD that brought me back. Condemnation dogged me for a long time, but I have persevered and daily hit my knees, read His Word, and spend time around other believers. Slowly, God has healed my heart and mind of the guilt. I was also deeply ashamed of the damage to my testimony....but this return to Christ story, is now part of my testimony.

@blainhannam7478 I'm doing much better. I've had my episodes where Satan tries to tell me God hasn't forgiven me. But we know what a liar he is. I also have to respect that if I turned away once, Satan could try deceiving me again. I ask God on a very frequent basis, to rekindle my passion, if I feel myself growing cold. I try to stay as honest with Him as I can about how I feel, where I struggle. And He's not disappointed. Jesus has been so merciful and gracious to me, in that HE shows up CONSTANTLY when I seek Him with my whole heart. Prayer, reading the Word, and staying contact with believers is key for all of us, but especially for those of us who've backslidden and returned. There are folks who start texting me if I don't come to church.
So you were saved at 16 and then backslid until your 50s? I feel like I'm a reprobate/apostate.
@blainhannam7478 I will say that I was in a secular recovery program for many years and that did keep me in some proximity to faith, but it wasn't like following Jesus in the company of other Christ followers.

I won't excuse myself I fell this morning I was doing good and I made the mistake of forgetting sometimes the devil and the flesh retreat slightly only to come back for round 2 let me just say this I'm not excusing sin in anyway but one thing that determines where you are spiritually is if you should happen to fall God forbid is if you stay down or get back up and punch that devil and flesh in there faces spiritually I Will choose to get back up and fight not to stay down brother or sister who may have fallen please don't stay down that's what the devil wants it's his main goal

I was only saved for a little over a month and felt the Holy Spirit leave. I desperately want his guidance again and want to fully submit and lean on Him. I know that nothing in the flesh can please God and I am not making excuses for my sin but I feel broken, numb, and empty. I just want his guidance back and I want to use whatever time the Lord lets me have glorifying his name and telling others the truth of the Gospel and emphasizing obedience instead of the prosperity Gospel I grew up with. Any advice? I don’t know any Spirit filled Christians

Very good message. What made me sick in my stomach was that the Mormon church actually paid ads right before the beginning of this sermon on RUclips. Imagine the disgust brother Wilkerson would have knowing that The Mormon church was advertising for converts on his message. The LDS is responsible for sending millions in to hell. Shame on them.
Thank you Pastor Wilkerson oh, I really needed to hear this message today because Satan has really been tugging on me and making me think that I have not been forgiven from where I had back. When I lived in North Carolina now live in Florida I used to teach the youth Sunday school class I enjoyed that, I was also the acting leader, I wish the children's church director oh, I was also the youth choir director. Every summer I taught Vacation Bible School. Anything that had to do with God and his son Jesus and the Bible and anything to do with the church I was there I loved it I just loved it. When I was young we go to church and when we come back my brother and my aunt and my uncle and myself go to the clubhouse and I would preach the sermon again that the preacher had just preached. I love God and Jesus with all I am and I know they are real it is not know I believe I'll know for a fact that God and Jesus exist it's hard for me to understand why I back s l i d. Please pray for me I pray that your church praise for me first never hurting more prayers the better. I really enjoy your preaching I know that this spirit is moving you whenever you preach you have so much compassion and fire for what you're preaching and I love that about you. Im praising God for this sermon. The Lord is full of mercy! Pls pray for my children and i. I used to be "mentally ill". I had so many problems. The devil has tried to get me my entire life. As long as i can remember he has tried and succeeded some at using close family and friends to hurt me. When i gave my life fully to God some attacks got worse but some let up. Right now the enemy is trying to pull me back into shame, guilt, fear and dispear. Trying to use my past and children to discourage me. Please pray that my faith will not fail. Please pray that i will praise the Lord always and in all circumstances. I pray the Lord will speak to many watching this sermon and encourage them that He doesnt give up on them. He never leaves or forsakes us. Even if the devil (who is a liar) tells you God has. I pray the Lord will help us all keep our eyes on Him no matter what storms come. In Yeshuas name amen
It really is about relationship with God is it not,yes got to have a personal relationship with the lord jesus christ, and put him first jesus christ the one who loves us more than anyone else who gave his life on the cross to save us. I'm hurting. I'm weeping. I'm scared 'I'm afraid 'I'm fearful. Why. I'm tired I've drifted. I lean upon Jesus.
I can absolutely testify to this. I was a trainwreck. Born into catholic Ireland, I now know that I was saved as a child. I could never sin without suffering deep shame. I made a serious attempt on my life 20 yrs ago. It's only by the Grace of God that I survived. 6 months after that, I was filled with the Holy Spirit. I am so unworthy. I have worked with children my whole adult life. They are so unsafe. We know they are satans number one target but the Lord is mightily using children. I can see that children will have the loudest voice, which makes total sense to me.
