    Spoilers below:
    ==========
    lyrics here:
    Delbert McClinton's "Weatherman"
    Predictions show a steady low,
    You're feeling just the same.
    But seasons come and seasons go.
    I'll make you smile again.
    If you don't believe take me by the hand,
    Can't you feel you're warming up, yeah, I'm your weatherman.
    =======
    Spoilers below:
    0:33 "I don't understand what's wrong"
    When you like what you do, 6 years in a roll is okay too.
    0:52 "People like it"
    1:35 Song continues:
    They say it's gone, say winter's done
    That don't mean a thing.
    'Cause I'm the one, that moves the sun
    For you I'd turn it into spring
    So when you're feeling lonely, try to understand,
    Baby, I can warm you up 'cause I'm your weatherman.
    ----------
    2:30 "Keep the talent happy"
    Prima Donna~

      @@jasonroberts6080 The eighties and nineties were the last golden age of America and perhaps even the West. It's ironic for all the 20th century dreamers in contemporary sci-fi of the time. The 21st century was overrated.

    If Phil was more like Larry, he wouldn't have needed his loop to understand how to be content with life. Larry doesn't mind covering the Groundhog day festival. He's perfectly happy to do it, just like he was happy to do the swallows returning from Capistrano before that.
    And when they arrive, Larry is the one who takes out Rita's bags and unloads the truck while Rita and Phil talk and don't lend a hand. He doesn't complain. It's part of his job and he gets along with Rita, so he's probably happy to do it for her. Phil would have thought that was beneath him at this point in the movie.
    Larry was already at that point in his life where he's happy with where things are for him. Phil needed to loop the same day for many, many years before he finally arrived at that same point.
    My point being, try and be like Larry. Be content with your lot in life. I'm not saying you can't try to improve and achieve something better, but there's nothing wrong with being happy with the hand you've already been dealt either. Larry doesn't get enough credit.

    man this start allways makes me think, Rita is the most empty and tasteless character in the whole movie. She is that kind of person that lives in a Narnya state of mind, frozen in time, she never grows, she has utopic and insipid aspirations and behaviour, never facing the reality, and is quite narcisistic, the perfect day for har has to be one on which she lives a fairy tale with no action, her perfect man is a copy of her that likes the exact same things as her, he cant have different opinions and tastes, her perfect day is a day where nothing happened except the wolrd around her working to be peasing. She is the one that should be spending some time in the timeloop

      Satanic. This is what is constantly being pumped into us, the woman are deities which must be worshiped and the whole world ought to revolve around them. Rita is a Siren whose sweet voice lures many a sailor to the depths.
