At the beginning of the "pregnant roommate" story, I was on OP's side. I guess it depends a little on the situation but getting pregnant and then expecting your roommate to pick up the slack seems like...maybe not an asshole move, but certainly not the best possible idea. The pregnancy changes the entire dynamic and I don't think it's fair to assume that a roommate would just be okay with a baby in the picture, or for them to basically "be the dad".
BUT HE ACTUALLY WAS THE DAD!?! That's wild. I did a complete 180 there. From "OP shouldn't be expected to suddenly play dad just because they're the pregnant lady's roommate" to "YOU'RE THE ACTUAL FUCKING DAD, MATE, SO DO YOUR JOB!" Holy crap, what an asshole. The second boy also has a name that starts with a K, but his name was a very common traditional name in my mother's culture so that was okay. Then when I was 12, the third boy was born and his name was a regular English name, but instead of starting with a C, they decided to start it with a K (not so unlike my name). I felt a bit weirded out but it's not the biggest deal. When I was 19, the last boy was born, and his name shares the first 4 letters with my name. In school people constantly confused my name with that name. My aunts and uncles accidentally call us the wrong name now all the time.
I'm doing okay, I'm an adult now and this isn't going to cause any trauma. But my youngest cousin who practically shares a name with me will no doubt see the similarities and be affected by it. I have heard every single one of my younger cousins be compared to me, and I don't even want to know how bad that's going to negatively affect them.

I didn’t even give two of my baby dolls the same name when I was a child. That man IS spineless and that GF has GOT to have some sort of sinister intentions. Like I feel like she’s just been keeping her jealousy for his 10 year old under wraps and was waiting for this opportunity to replace her. So weird.

8:38 The op is correct, kick his son to the streets if you have to. It is clear the son only loved his wife for the sex and when she temporarily couldn't provide that (and also likely was in need of emotional and possibly physical support for her condition) he immediately seeked out someone else to have sex with. If he only wanted a partner to have sex with he should not have gotten married and certainly they should not have had a child together.

Chapter 6 is wild to me.
If your the husband or a pregnant wife, this is it bro, you wanted it, you're in the middle of it!
I swore to my gf before we did break up, that if she was ever in that position I'd do whatever it took for her.
I'd gather all the infinity stones and snap to get her a bowl of ice cream if that was her request.
I'd go to hell and back to get hellfire and brimstone if that was the only way to make the house warm enough.
I'd go around the world in a day to gather ingredients for any meal she could ask for and have it ready that day.
This is the whole point, even animals get this. She is prego, so for those 9, really damn near 14 months, you gotta be Superman.
    Don't disappoint.

Okay so the dad joke response immediately makes the dad the one on the defensive. And that’s an important factor in coming out. Feeling vulnerable is scary. Now the dynamic is that dad is the vulnerable one with a disadvantageous position.

Wait what the pregnancy one, I thought this was 2 roommates at first (Because isnt that what he said?!) And I was like "Yeah I'm on the roommates side, why is she constantly asking for favors? Where's the babys father?" THEN you said it was her husband writing this I had to immediately stop playing my game (Nioh 2) to do a double take and rewind to see how the F I missed that part?!
My boyfriend (Of 5 years now)
He got me pregnant just after about 3-4 months of us dating.. he immediately stepped up and took care of me, helped me with whatever I needed, got me food at 3 am whatever I needed he was there.
For this guy? Throw the whole man away. Then he goes on to say "We planned it" How the fuck did he not realize what was coming then? I could only imagine what would be happening if she was having a very high risk pregnancy.. and she was bedridden. Very worried to think about that.

The two children with the same name is so bad. Even if we don't take the emotional damage this will do to the ten year old, this is going to cause so many issues with mail, and taxes, and anything that asks for personal information. Like, it's already a pain if two people living in the same house have the same initials, or are a sr and jr version of the same name. This will absolutely cause problems down the line.
My sister's wedding date was filed wrong by the city council. That seems a trivial mistake, but it was going to cause problems for bank accounts and taxes. Because it looked like fraud, especially because they filed it in the wrong year, she got married before christmas, the city filed it after new year's. This means that you will look like you are committing all kinds of fraud by getting benefits before you seem to be entitled to them. At best that means you get a fine.
This situation is definitely going to cause similar problems. "No you are not eligible for a student loan, since you are not yet 18" "that's my younger half sister" "with the same name, hahahaha, no"
That last one is definitely only about how his girlfriend looks, and has nothing to do with her depression. Saw dust is also very very bad for your health. It can absolutely be poisonous depending on the type of wood, and what else is in there, it's a great way to F up your gastro-intestinal system too. Also, saw dust is a carcinogen. So this is not only emotional abuse, it is physical abuse. Plus, depending on where you live, tampering with food is a crime.

When I was 8 or 9 my dad bought me rollerblades (it was 1993-94 lol). He took me out and had me pick them out and everything while I was visiting him. I had just met him a year earlier for the first time and was really liking the time I spent with hm before the rollerblades. But then when it came time to go home the next day, he wouldn't let me take them home. At home, I had a circle driveway that I could use them in, my dad lived on a dirt road with a steep dirt driveway and you had to cross a main road to get to pavement - meaning I could only rollerblade with him. I didn't know the word for it, but you bet your ass I felt like he was trying to manipulate me. He already lived next to a lake and had so many reasons for me to go there and do things I just couldn't do at home. It felt like he was more worried about competing for my time by making sure I was less happy at home than I was at his house or something, it was wierd - and at that age I picked up on it, so that 10 year old girl is going to go through some shit with her dad and his new kid of the same name...

Also IF your girlfriend's depression somehow DID stem from gaining weight (which could happen if you have toxic thoughts ingrained to you about your relationship with your body or food) the solution is NOTTT to secretly stuff her with nutritionally empty pulp!!!!
I had an ex like this who thought the fix to my depression was weight loss when really I have deep seated trauma about food and my body passed down from parents who would crash diet me from the age of 10. It has been a LONG journey towards a healthier relationship with food and my body and crash dieting to make the toxic thoughts go away is putting duct tape on a broken bone. The real problem isn’t the weight 90% of the time, it's mental health, it's food quality, and time scarcity, it's food deserts, it's food price, it's so many other things.
