ladama its more in their demeanor and how they use body language. The way they fluff or smooth their feathers and crests and if they flash their eyes tells the deal with them. They can't smile cos they don't have lips, but you always know how they feel. Parrots are not shy and will put humans etc in their place.
Lol who are those guys? I've heard of it, but never seen it happen. Maybe you gotta hang out with hipsters. And I'm a musician with a lot of musician friends. They're just not douchebags I guess lol.
We have 3. None of them go after our birds. One is an avid bird hunter outside. Our orange cat ran outside and caught a parakeet that flew out the door but didn't leave a scratch on him. Let him go when I reached down to get the bird :) cats are smart.
NO YOU'RE JUST LUCKY. cats are predators. dont let your cats run around outside without supervision unless you want them to kill a bunch of native wildlife and native birds.
Sans Font totally lucky to have 3 such amazing cats. And my dog is pretty awesome too. Even though she ate my chickens after we found her. It's what feral dogs do. :/ but NOW she is well trained and is trusted with all forms of life. That's lucky too. And amazing. She's bffs with Henry x)
yeah pretty damn lucky seeing as how no amount of training is going to remove your cat's natural biological instinctual hardwiring to hunt and kill birds, mice and other small animals. dont let your cats and dogs run around unsupervised
+Michele Bright Thank you for a delightful video! While I do agree with some of the other comments below (i.e. being cautious with your animals, and understanding their innate instinctual tendencies), it seems like you've got it under control! Give that cat a head scratch for me! And have a wonderful day!
Dr. Stephen Poop I agree with the person who complimented you. The love you have for them shows. They are beautiful, very relaxed and get along well together ❤
My grey cockatiel BB (short for Baby Bird :-) ) just turned one year old. He can whistle the Addams Family and Andy Griffith theme songs and when he does the Addams Family he bobs his head to ( I have a youtube vid of him doing this) its so darn cute!
Wolfimus Prime My wife and I had a female sun conure that whistled the X Files theme too. She also did dripping water so well it made you get up and check the faucet.
That bird automatically knew that it's high-pitched singing may have been hurting his Kitty's ears when the cat patted him and lowered the tone of his singing to accommodate him...that is amazing!!! Animals have more sense than humans sometimes.
He tries. And he sings the Adam's family. He loves to talk. He calls our African grey "Beaker beaker" and follows him around. He is a "do not touch me" bird. But likes to be by you, or a cat, or anything willing to listen to him. :)
My friends had a tiel and we all, over time taught her the theme songs from the Andy Griffith Show and Leave It to Beaver. hilarious. The morning after a party we were all awakened by the chorus part from the Andy Griffith Show....funny stuff...cool birds.
Henry (cat) gets along with everyone. They do get along. Years ago a parakeet flew out the door. Milo (another cat we have) ran down the stairs and caught the bird in a bush and held it until I got to them. I thought he for sure killed it! That's their instinct, to attack what moves. But no. He released it when I grabbed it and the bird was totally fine.
This made me both happy & sad all at the same time! I just lost mine ( grey lil cockatiel just like this one) 2 days ago of 18 years with me & was likely 19 or 20 in age! He did not do ALL THIS but he did his own things! I love this girl ....a bedroom full of cats & birds all chilling in there togetherness abounding!! Awesome nothing better than this. The playing of this would have gotten Deejay going but alas no sounds today! Miss him already! Keep loving those babies there this is a wonderful lil niche & family you have. KUDOS! 👍🏼👌✌️🙏💪🏻🤙😍😂🤣😘😍😹😹
That's so funny, when the yellow bird tweaked the cockatiel's feathers, he scooted over closer to the cat, like for protection. Love how chill the cat is!
Aw I'm so sorry! I got really sick and had to rehome my birds. A year later I was better and not dead. The guy who took my Grey offered to sell him back to me. Thank God! But I didn't keep in touch with the guy who took kit so I posted about him on craigslist and a few weeks later, the guy messaged me! I had to pay an outrageous amount (like $350 or something) but I did get him back. That was about 5 years ago. I can't imagine having to do that with birds I've had for 15 years! I've had zeke about that long and I just panic at the thought. Hugs!
This is the cutest I have ever seen 😂 Funny when the cat raises the paw, and the bird stops and changes to some friendly chatter like "hey bro lets be friend :D " Then later you can see the other bird slowly gets fed up like "bro shut up dude" and goes after him :D Cuteness overload 😍🥰
I gotta say, I am impressed by your beaver's singing capacity, your lizard's self control on not eating beavers, and I gotta thank your squirrel for staying dead still and it kinda looking like a pillow.
Thank you! Henry is quite special. But all my animals get along. The dog is laying right behind kit and the African grey is in the bathroom. The only true aggression I've ever seen is the African grey chasing the cats trying to bite them. I have to save the cats from him. I pick him up and tell him to behave.
DawnDanner do you trust dogs around cats? William M Trexler well... It's been about a decade... My dogs haven't eaten my cats and the cats haven't eaten the birds... But my African grey does attack the cats but they run away.
I love how animals that would be mortal enemies in the wild become fast friends under the roof of a human household. Says something about what it means to be human, I think.
+LosT`` they start talking about 6 months to a year. I think he's about two. Keep in mind, females don't talk as often, it happens, but it's rare. Males tend to talk more. Males have bright cheek patches. Females have dull ones.
oh, be still my beating heart! your tiel has the cutest adorable voice ever!!! (p.s. I have had a DNA proven female.....that whistled and talked all the time). I'm enamored by Kitchen. cutiepatootie!
This video confuses me and its now my favorite xD
Your username confuses me

Now way lol, I was thinking about this video a few days ago. Now I found it thanks to your reply
They always sound like they're working on a new song but haven't quite figured out an ending yet.
I used to think that they always forget parts of the songs they’re taught, but now I’m quite sure they just all love to remix.
is it me or birds can express happiness through their faces??
ladama yes! And excitement! And sadness.
ladama through the head bob and little beak smile
ladama its more in their demeanor and how they use body language. The way they fluff or smooth their feathers and crests and if they flash their eyes tells the deal with them. So sweet. I'm glad the cat isn't hungry. Uh oh.
@TheNugler Your profile pic jumps cared me, I swear I feel like I know that man
Cockateils are like the guy who brings a guitar to a party and plays when no one asked him to.
Hans Grueber - omg so true!
Lol who are those guys? I've heard of it, but never seen it happen. Maybe you gotta hang out with hipsters. And I'm a musician with a lot of musician friends. They're just not douchebags I guess lol.
funny
As a guy who has only been to like 4 parties I can actually confirm.... But we all knew he loved playing guitar so it was to be expected :/
Hans Grueber And plays his own stuff. 😁
I am impressed by your cat's self control.

Sans Font around the house?
the cats eyes are like "i can't believe you guys taught him to sing, now i won't sleep. ever. thank you."
I'm deadddd!!!lol
The relaxed state of these animals (all together) is a testament to your skills as a pet owner. Thumbs up!
Dr. Stephen Poop thank you so much! I appreciate it very much
+Michele Bright Thank you for a delightful video!

Give that cat a head scratch for me! And have a wonderful day!
Dr. Stephen Poop thank you so much! (I'm on my husband's account)
TheNugler yes he would chase the cats off the bed! He says sweet to humans, but a bully to the other animals. We ended up rehomeing him because of it.
Dr. Stephen Poop I agree with the person who complimented you. The love you have for them shows. They are beautiful, very relaxed and get along well together ❤
I love how she bobs her head while she's singing

FYI: It's a boy birdie.
My bad
1:03 x-D
@@thefairy6884 they say that because girls don't talk. X) you can call him a her if you want to. I don't mind.

birdy; 'If you're happy and you know it..'
Cat; 'sing that again I'm gonna slap you'
birdy; ......
I had a cockatiel that could whistle the X-Files theme song when it came on. his name was Charlie Fox Bird
Haha that's awesome
I had a cockatiel that would do the same thing. His name was Fred.
X-Files theme song was one of my friend's mobile ring tone .
It's my ring tone as well.
Wolfimus Prime My wife and I had a female sun conure that whistled the X Files theme too. She also did dripping water so well it made you get up and check the faucet.
That cat's self control, even the other parrot got annoyed
Quaker parrots like to take teils toes for fun.
"the food is acting up again..."
laglance lol
laglance if you look closely there's a dog laying in the back of the video.
The cats eyes and body language clearly say that he has no hostile intentions or feelings
can we all just appreciate how this cat could totally game end the bird but it just chooses not to because its his buddy?
That bird automatically knew that it's high-pitched singing may have been hurting his Kitty's ears when the cat patted him and lowered the tone of his singing to accommodate him...that is amazing!!! Animals have more sense than humans sometimes.
I think he was just worried that if he kept going the cat might hurt him. Not that amazing really.
Happy and you know it bob your head.
Is he singing If You're Happy and You Know It (Clap Your Hands)?
He tries. And he sings the Adam's family. He loves to talk. He calls our African grey "Beaker beaker" and follows him around. He is a "do not touch me" bird. But likes to be by you, or a cat, or anything willing to listen to him. :)

"Hi kit"
Me: "nawwwww hey little fella!!😍😍😍"
If your happy and you know it 🎶🎶🙂👍 cat put it's paw 🐾 up say ok give it a rest LOL 😂 bless the yellow birdy just gone for poor cockertill bless😍
Now this shows friendship towards animals. The cat is so calm, looks like they get along :)
you must be blind they both wanted to attack the Cockatiel.
Henry (cat) gets along with everyone. They do get along. Years ago a parakeet flew out the door. 1:41 that cat face ... lmao
That is one VERY good 🐱.
TELL ME THAT @ 3:00 THE CAT doesn't look at the camera with a "the only reason he isn't lunch is cause you like him" look!
the star 🌟 of the show is the cockatiel and the cat 🐱 is just a supporting actor, hahahahaha
That bird is so cute..ha...looks like it has rosey cheecks...and how he whistles...haha
Cockatiels are very smart and also very loving Birds....I love them so very dearly...
Thats the greatest Cockatiel singing i ve ever heard in my Life.
I miss my boys soo much. I had two cockatiels for 15 years and I had to give them up. This one reminds me of my Buddy.❤️
Aw I'm so sorry! I got really sick and had to rehome my birds. A year later I was better and not dead. The guy who took my Grey offered to sell him back to me. Thank God! That color of cat is often docile & sweet. Emotionally intelligent.
The cat almost smacked the bird, lol. Even the other bird got annoyed with the singing.
Cute Video! That cat is like : "Shut that singing up! I am trying to rest! lol!

I was like roaring 10 levels of cute agressions.
How Beautiful is this video.
It amazes me how well the two birds and the cat get along. That Henry is one special cat. The three of them were well raised and lived.
**loved.

Great video, thank you very much dear friend.
I wish you a lovely weekend.
Cockatiels are so incredibly sweet. I cannot believe that cat isn’t touching it - good job training them.., this is so lovely!
Get it here, Thing my dogs don't eat my cats and my cats don't the birds... But I do have an African grey who attacks the cats....
We had a cockateel many years ago, about 35 or there abouts named Kit or Kitty after my mum. lol
Que linda tu cacatúaaa! 😍🥰🥰

I like how the Bird sings if you happy and you know it clap your hands and the cat was like if you say it I will clap on your face XD
😂🤣
Not in a million would I trust a cat around a bird!
DawnDanner do you trust dogs around cats? William M Trexler well... It's been about a decade... My dogs haven't eaten my cats and the cats haven't eaten the birds... But my African grey does attack the cats but they run away.
That cat's expression gets *cynical!!* LOL!! :D. Very funny duet.:))
That's a really nice and detailed blanket at 3:00 to the end, haha
It almost sounds like - "If your happy and you know it clap your hands!" Lol!
Sounds like he is singing If you're happy and you know it,
The cockatiel doing 'if your happy and you know it ?'
Rebekah Bridges-Tervydis yes. A little. A little Adam's family and a lot of his favorite, chookachoolachooka
Adorable
LOL that cat has a look of "do I REALLY have to suffer through all this just for the sake of a video?"
so cute :)
What a peaceful happy house!
so cute and amazing
OMG,how great is that!
3.00 priceless the way that cat's eyes move with a budgie in its face
3:03 I LOVE how they both stare directly into the camera like they are about to team up on their owner.
I love how animals that would be mortal enemies in the wild become fast friends under the roof of a human household. Says something about what it means to be human, I think.
Haha. At 2:19 kitty says “ok now, I’ve had enough of this silliness!!”
So cute! All of them.
HI cat! Too adorable.
The cat is not too worried at all,,,,,a very happy crew
Wow it's whistle is very good!🐦
Thank you. He's a pretty great tiel. :)

I love your cockatiel I have one cockatiel and three parakeets
It's funny the yellow one was the one to strike first! Bird on bird violence....can't we all just get along!
It's like sylvester and tweety... Or at least the yellow bird and the other cat would be. All friends when the hooman is around... :D
oh, be still my beating heart! your tiel has the cutest adorable voice ever!!!
(p.s. I have had a DNA proven female.....that whistled and talked all the time).

I love the cat purring lol like "Yes please sing me the song of your people"
