    At 47:02 when you unscrew lower swing arm bolt, you can see whole wheel column go down - this is because it's under tension from bushing rubber. When you tighten the new one, you do it in lower position, when you lower the car, rubber bushing will be under tension in resting position. You should tighten both of these bolts when the car is on wheels or tighten it in horizontal position (with the car) and then force it down.

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  2 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for that. I did go back and slacken and retighten the lower arms once it was on the floor. But thanks for the insight so others know 🍻🍻🍻

    I’ve been watching your channel for a long time, from distant Russia. While viewing, three questions arose: 1) when replacing all the arms in the suspension, why didn’t they replace the ball joint? 2) when tightening the bolts, the car must be on its wheels so that the silent block works in the desired plane. 3) when replacing the fuel filter, it is necessary to bleed the fuel line through the VSDC program (in Russia we have an analogue “Vasya Diagnostic”. In general, I watch your videos with pleasure, a lot of educational information.

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  3 месяца назад +3

      Russia 🇷🇺 🍻🍻🍻
      Car is going for wheel alignment. So it doesn’t really matter much
      Bleeding fuel filter 2 x 30 secs cycle of ignition before starting.
      Ball joint will get replaced when I remove complete leg to work on top suspension arms and top suspension mount.
      Also all rear suspension arms .. that will be in next video.
      Also all rear subframe bushes incl all gearbox and engine mount bushing in further videos ..

    • @cdonuts7335

      Yes when the vehicles weigh is placed on the bushings because they have been torqued unloaded they will have a twisting force on them which can lead to premature failure! All service manuals state to torque everything when the vehicle is on the ground! But no one does it!

    Hello Mr Williams,
    Sir, I have a 2006, Ford Fusion 1.6 Duratec Petrol. I got a new original valeo self starter motor installed in it but i feel the clutch has also become hard after the self replacement. It takes more force now to press the clutch pedal. I got the complete clutch,pressure plate and release bearing changed a few months back. My car has done about 80000 kms till date. Do you think sir,that changing a self starter motor could have caused the clutch to become harder? Kindly help. Thank you.
