At 18:03 I personally would disagree about the quality of his abilities to be a good wrench. Never start a steel fastener into aluminum with a power tool or do what Jake does and drive the cross threaded fastener home! Listen to Phantoms voice tone as confusion sets in.

The garage that’s got my 90 step side putting head gaskets on for me has a brown one of these model trucks out front that is 100% all original zero rust in absolute pristine condition.. interior and exterior.. I don’t know who it belongs to, but it’s by FAR the cleanest one of these trucks I’ve ever seen.. just absolutely gorgeous!! Whoever owned the truck kept it inside somewhere for sure. Yall stay blessed!! And @Phantom… fix your microphone you moron.. lmbo!! 😂.. J/K..

Y’all need a rolling shelf deal so you can organize what goes to each vehicle and be able to just pull what part you need off the shelf and roll it to whatever your working on. Will be easier to visually see if you’re missing anything and plus it keeps you off the floor lol.

For the dipstick tube just get a larger diameter short bolt that will thread the hole on the bellhousing itself.

@32:11 the turbo 400 had an electrical passing gear and a switch that was sometimes near the carburetor and sometimes near the accelerator pedal that sent 12v to that terminal on the case. If that trans does not have a trans brake they just used the original insert to plug the hole. I would ohm it to the case and see if actually has a brake in it
As an addition, if it's a full manual valve body there's no need for that insert. Most builders would just put a steel expansion plug in it.
I would have to say if you want the Ls water pump gaskets to leak in about a year don’t put any sealant on them after being a tech 30 years most of the Ls engines that come in with a coolant leak is because the gaskets leak
