That's true! Honestly, I'm not sure who I'd put my money on in a fight between a grizzy bear and a polar bear. Both are pretty fearsome. Why can't we all just be friends?
@@theASMRnerd Could say the same for humans, Black, White, Asian, for some reason people see those different from themselves as lesser beings, i guess we're all just too insecure and wish to be better than someone else.
One VERY miniscule difference I heard between the two in the blind test was when you were whispering with the Blue Yeti, it sounded like it was closer to my ear in a realistic way whereas with the Bigfoot it kinda sounded like it was always a tiny little bit off from my ear. Maybe I'm just too picky lol. But still, the Bigfoot definitely seems to be a great competitor 😍 And I really appreciate the quality and the fact that you always seem so enthusiastic and thoughtful in your videos, it makes it so much more relaxing and interesting!
I love my Yeti, but I'm surprised that there haven't been more serious competitors before now to help drive the price down a bit. The Yeti has been dominant for a decade now and competition is always a good thing for consumers!
I think the yeti isnt that hard to beat anyway, its just overrated. Its still a good mic but its from 2007 and you can get better things for the money.
This timing was incredible. I've just gotten into Twitch streaming myself the last month or so and I've been looking at better mics than the one on my cheap headset. Thank you!
I love your content as a whole and 95% of this video as well, but just one thing I found jarring was the Styrofoam/polystyrene noises that seemed close to the mics in the unboxing. Not sure if its a personal thing or something other people also do not enjoy though. Other than that, keep up the great work Nick! (PS more Thief 😂)
Thank you very much for this video, not only was I impressed by Jord’s watches when entering the giveaway but I also love studio quality microphones. Came for the ASMR, stayed for the taste in technology. Always impressed thank you
So I'm no pro however I am a recording artist I also used to do sound and I'm a bit of an audiophile... my very basic audio setup consists of Hifiman HE400i and a fiio DAC for my flacs and wavs when I'm not listening to vinyl. I could nerd out a little longer about my other setups, but I will say they are quite basic compared to most audiophiles(this is just for context). None the less I will say my piece about the two mics. I felt that mic A was slightly less natural-sounding, almost plastic and hallow. It did not seem to do justice to the characteristics my mind associates with the objects that were tested. Mic B however had seemingly richer mids and a nice presence in the low end with little decay. I recognize however that neither of these had any filters or plug-ins added to change their shape. For this reason, I feel I don't know enough to say for sure which is the better mic. I'd love to hear the thoughts of others to see if mine stack up.
I got a BIGFOOT but dont know how to record ASMR sound... I use audacity but i only can record voice, not ''asmr sound''... can u more explain in what program u record and how u set up for asmr to get thouse small sound of clicking... thanks and great video btw
I'm surprised about the A vs B results. The Bigfoot sounds more detailed (and sometimes a tiny bit harsher) than the Yeti does. It kinda reminds me of comparing reference studio headphones & normal headphones. Normal headphones (the Yeti in this analogy) have a more pleasant & bassy sound & make everything sound nice. On the other hand, reference headphones reveal both the good & bad sound qualities. Idk if this makes any sense, but I think I like the Bigfoot more lol. Regardless, great review as always!
aye i got the head to head right! maybe because i have a blue yeti so i know how it sounds. i think the yeti has a more rich, bassier sound. but they are very close in quality
a is way better than b . i dont like how low the blue yeti is it feels bass boosted but the other one is great i prefer the sound on that one by a mile
Do you have a shock mount that fits the Bigtfoot? I bought a Bigfoot after this review (and a few more) but the shock mount I got has a thread hole that is MUCH too big for the Bigfoot. So I have to return that, but now I'm at a loss for what to get. Should I just try a generic "universal" shock mount?
is you have only a option to purchase 1 of this 2 blue yeti vs behringer big foot what did you will choose ? its worth spend the extra 50 for the yeti?
Amazing Video ! thanks ! I have a question, i got my BigFoot, but when i speak from right and left (stereo Mode) .. i realized it's more sensitive capturing the sound from the Right side, as if it has a slightly off calibration ... especially when trying the Mic on Audacity, Monitor shows how the Right side is much more sensitive than the Left one ... Have u had the same problem ?
The sensitivity seems fairly well-balanced between left and right channels on mine. I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with yours! I wonder if the imbalance would make it eligible for an exchange under the warranty? If not, you could try normalizing the stereo channels independently in audacity, to balance the volume after the fact.
I’m looking to buy a new USB mic I own a yeti . I was excited ited but . I preferred “ The yeti “ 🤦♂️ tell me Why when you were firstly speaking on the big foot it sounded better than the tests ???? Then when the tests came it sounded like the room noise amplifier was crazy with the big foot ? Why different
I turned up the volume on both the Bigfoot and the Yeti for the sound tests, to allow for easier comparison. You can hear a lot of room noise in both cases, and the noise floor becomes audible. Consider it a "worst-case scenario" kind of test.

Nice. That said Behringer have trash practices in their copycatying, as graciously shown again today with their arturia copy bollocks. Yay to your video, and a mild fart in behringer's direction.
behringer had recently been under a lot of fire since a lot of musicians have called them out for copying other instruments and selling them for cheaper at a lower quality
I like the fact that they use "Bigfoot" to go up against the Yeti, which arguably is like a polar bear is to a brown bear (snowvariant of bigfoot)

Looks like there is some competition for usb ASMR mics finally! It sounds pretty good, I must say! Thank for reviewing this for us, dear friend!
Can we all just take a minute and appreciate Nick's acting?
Never have I been more interested in an ad before
I loooove when you do these reviews, I get so many tingles and im just melting the whole time ☺️❤️
Ooh I'm so excited! Out of all the relaxing reviews, I always love the microphone reviews the most!!!!
Anyone else think when he was tapping on the wood box towards the end of the vid it sounded like mr crabs walking 😂
day 1 of asking theasmrnerd to make a series of him wandering around empty tf2 maps and explore them

honestly sounded almost exactly the same it was very nice to finally see a USB competitor to The snowball besides like Audio Technica
Sounds like a serious competitor to the Yeti! I like it! :D

I thought for a second that there really was something that deceived Nick's eyes.
Love this video. Bigfoot sounds good. Also, that watch is gorgeous.

It happens to be one of my ... "negative triggers" as well. Most coarse synthetic materials really mess with my head.

I would love to hear this microphone with someone singing.
okay no cap this mic sounds dope tho
Tbh I liked the sound of the Bigfoot even more than the Yeti 😍

Dang two sponsors in one video? I like that hustle.
I think the whispering in the blue yeti is better. I do however think the Bigfoot excelled at tapping . But what do I know ? I’m just a paid actor .
Very helpful information also a great ASMR video. I'm buying this bigfoot thing and starting my ASMR channel LOL
I loved the intro to this video!! So cute and sweet
It sounds like it could go head to head with the yeti and might win in some triggers

Oh yeah!!!
Eyyy wassup Pickie! CERTIFIED FIRST! 🥇
Pickle is a legend.
I hope Blue doesn't take them to court oml
Most likely they will not because I think blue is a bigger company and has been around longer and their are many blue yeti copy cats

I just ordered one today at sweetwater on sale for $79☺️

If both were the same price, I'd pick the Yeti. But if it's $50 cheaper, I'd take the Bigfoot.
