Hi Portland. Let me give you some intercontinental kudos right now. The audience in Portland is pure gold and on point from my European perspective in all the videos I have seen. A listening and classy audience who knows when to make sound is becoming a rarity anywhere (yes I have seen the entire concert (online) - everyone should want to do a gig in your city because this is class - and the response from "the bando maidos" is equally classy. One can truly feel they feel "home away from home". All performers need a sense of "trust" with their audience. So here is a kudos to the entirety of the USA after the spring run they gave you. They were more apprehensive back then. This is the pure beauty of a gang of a band that trusts that foreigners cheer not only to make fun, but cheer from the bottom of their hearts. Now I want the entirety of Europe to man up so that we too can experience them again post-C19 next year. Portland, I promise, we will try to follow your lead as an audience.
The crowd was fun... the maids came into the pathway. Some hi fives. Fans behaved. They cheered. Only sketchy part was the rough moshpit on the front stage right... they smashed into people hard. Good fun though
The ladies managed to thoroughly derail Omajiai Time. I love seeing all the antics they come up with to mess with Miku. When they're having fun we're having fun.
It's always great to see every Omajinai Time has it's own feel. No two are exactly alike. It shows they all have a great sense of humour and appreciation for their fans to put on a show even when they're not playing.
Miku's omajinai time changes the pattern every time, and I am amazed at how she can improvise such a thing. But Miku is always so energetic that it makes me happy to see her. 彼女には天賦の才がある。 彼女は純粋なエンターテイナーだ。 彼女が私たちの人生に現れてくれたことを幸運に思う。 She has a natural gift. She is a pure entertainer. We are lucky she has appeared in our lives.
@@sms95501 thanks Jim, by this point in the show I was in real bad shape, barely hanging on to my rail in pain, I made it thru magic spell time, then had to move back to find water and hopefully a place to sit, got the water anyway, I told my son I could no longer go on when endless story started, that's unfortunately when I had to leave. I learned a lot about concert goings in 2023 after my 25 year hiatus, I'm going to make more changes to my physical self to be able to withstand what it takes to do a Band-Maid or another show, and after my experience at this wonderful show, I'm definitely not going back to not seeing live performances again.
@@sms95501 nope. Miku is kawaii but Mincho's cuteness is another level. Btw, I wonder how the crowds that first time came to Okuyji react when they hear Kanami's soft spoken voice. They must be in awe and think "How can a soft spoken lady play PRS like a beast?" 🤯
@@sms95501 This is why I love this band. I don't have any bias on Band-Maid like some K-pop fans and each of the band members have interesting personalities. E.g. Kanami is my favorite because of her personality and "genius" talents. Miku is my most respectful among the members cos without her "genius" idea there is no BM. Akane the goofy among the members, MISA the playful one and Saiki has the most elegant persona I've ever seen.

Somehow I feel like the band, but Saiki mostly, is getting back at Miku for all the years of Pigeon. Its their 10th anniversary. And with everyone hyped up and grateful, Its time to give Miku a full 10 years of gratitude by messing with her during the most important time of the Okyuji. Its so funny to watch during this last tour. Every Okyuji they find another way to get Miku frustrated. Its hilarious. Thats true friendship right there. ぽ

Thanks Jim for sharing this wonderful Omajinai time with us. They are constantly coming up with new stunts to throw Kobato off her routine, somehow Miku always manage to get back on track. They are all a bunch of stand up comedians, and masters of freestyling while having fun. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes of joy from watching this. Thanks again, I'm so happy Po
Miku has been using a tablet at MC's for some time now, if I remember correctly she started using it already last year on overseas okyuji's. She always scrolls, it seems, to find the correct notes for MC, so it's probably her cheat sheet 🙂

It is hard to imagine Omajinai Time without the others butting in..

There is a routine structure that always goes sideways. The spontanious side of the band comes out, it is always fresh and pure entertainment.
