- Hey party people! thanks so much for hanging out with me again while I share this new around the house happenngs with you! What's going on with you these days?! For us, we got a new couch... quite dramatic. I also delt with thanksgiving leftovers, cleaning the fridge, sharing a grocery haul, sharing what's in my kids' lunch, and so much more. You know how we do it here - it's just a hodgepodge of everything because that's life!

I realize we're strangers but I'm gonna give you some unsolicited advice. Give yourself some grace about getting the house all together. You are so busy taking care of your family, I feel you are scheduling too much and you're going to wear yourself out. Eventually you'll figure out the sofa, the Christmas tree, organize your pantry and closet. The house isn't going anywhere, you'll be there for years. Want you to enjoy your hardwork and those adorable little monsters. Finally, it's so fun watching you & Alex eat brownies one spoon at a time. Brilliant idea! Talking NASA brilliant. 🙂
Well I think I wouldn't have pressure on myself to get my house together, but it is our birthday season so we have had many people over so I didn't want it to look disheveled. I wear myself out on a normal day - regardless of what I'm doing lol That's just who I am. There's always something to be done. Brownies help me get through

I will give you the same advice someone gave me and it changed my perspective… You have the rest of your life to keep a tidy home. Enjoy your children while you still have them around. This is just the season of life you’re in currently. It will change and you will miss these days.
I am a mom of 4 and only 2 are left at home. I remember the days of multiple sporting events in one day, as well as working full time and caring for a home and my family. It gets crazy 😜. I get it!
Just breathe and enjoy the moments and memories you’re making with your kids. That’s what will stick with you over the years, not a guest coming over and noticing that you’ve washed the dishes.
My husband reminds me when I get stressed out with staying on top of all of my chores, he says, “magazine homes are for single people.” Lol 😂

@@MFarmer1234 great advice! I always enjoy moments with my children and take time out to have one on one time with them as much as I can. My home will never be magazine worthy lol I’m not worried about that. I came to that realization years ago!
@@thewadsquad I thought of that when you showed the spill in the fridge drawer. Reminded me of the days when my house was full of kids. Miss it, but also enjoy my clean fridge. LOL
I gave up on a “Pinterest” worthy tree many many years ago. Instead, I put ornaments on it, that have meaning. Our tradition is that each child gets a new ornament every year, one which represents an accomplishment or important event in their life for that year. This year i sent my granddaughter a personalized ornament for her first day in daycare. Since we started the tradition, I put up their ornaments or home made ornaments from them or me all over our tree. I think it’s absolutely fabulous and definitely Pinterest worthy with meaning and memories!

I'm pregnant and I really love watching you because I see so many other videos of perfect moms on a strict schedule and just seeing you go with the flow no matter what happens its just inspiring. I wanna be a mom like you when my baby boy gets here❤

Your house looked good. My husband is a first responder and goes into some pretty nasty places. Delivery drivers also see some pretty nasty places too. My husband know that our house is not always going to be spotless. He is happy as long as the bathrooms are clean and he has clean dishes to eat on.

I just love watching your videos. Showing real things mom's go through like issues with a routine or Vaseline in a kids hair. You're a breath of fresh air on RUclips. Your cheery face and voice first thing in the morning make my day start off better.

Maple dijon and a little rosemary. Rub between your hands if its dried. It wakes up the spice. Or thyme. Its very yummy. Spray your pan to make clean up easier. I serve with rice and a little sauce over the rice and asparagus. Thats my meal.
Oh my goodness your exercise and aerobics are working for your family and keeping the family in order and healthy and cooking too! You are simply amazing. You are so energetic and MAGIC,! You can accomplish so much in one day it's Incredible! I love your sense of humor and you sing beautifully. Find something to do one hour a day and do it just for you and away from the house. You deserve it!

I use this now when buying for my 6-year-old granddaughter. She's the only grandkid so I would go nuts buying everything I see. That saying really helps me. Just a thought ❤💚💜💙💛

With the couch situation- you should get a couch that has a chaise lounge on the side the stairs are on (so essentially a small sectional? Or just small l shaped couch?) and put two small accent chairs on the side the backyard doors are on, even the small couch u have there blocks the view but two accent chairs would work!
Or you can get one of those u shaped couches and then it won’t come out long enough on the sides to block the backyard view or the view into the house from the front door
I have that same couch in grey... and yup I have buyers remorse too. Except I can't return it because my cats and baby ruined it. Saving up for two separate couches. Expensive lesson, but I'll never buy a corner couch again! 🤣
YES!!! There IS a two-year sleep regression! My daughter just turned two and we are in it, FULL FORCE, right now! My husband works third shift, so he never sees it, but we were at a hotel Saturday night, and he SAW it. The next day, I’m pretty sure he had a new appreciation for me! 😂 Now he knows why I want to go to bed when he gets home from work in the morning… 🤷🏻♀️😆

The kids would probably love a trampoline with a net! Best toy of my childhood for sure
I second this!! My grandpa used to hook a water sprinkler up to the top of the net in the summer and I spent so much time jumping and having fun while playing in water to keep me cool during summer days at home.

Kim, regarding your stove - what if you search that stove online to see the high/low heat options, then use your Cricut machine to make new labels!?

I was always told to never put potatoes in the fridge.. (my granny was Irish, born here but my great grandmother was from there) And she said to never put them in the fridge, something like they will spoil or grow mold. I can't remember. I keep a burlap sack in my pantry full of potatoes, and one apple. Apparently the apple helps them not to spoil as fast. And don't keep them with onions. I love seeing how other people store their food and such. I know, I'm weird like that 🙃.
Its an excellent couch. Exactally what Im hoping for. 2 people can lay out on it for movie night. I love the reclining ends and the console.

Well, just a thought on the stove..if there is a model # on it somewhere, maybe google for parts and it might give you a pic of the dials to see what they should say...
I had to do this on both my stove and oven in new home, googled it and used a permanent permanent sharpie to redo the markings👍
I didn’t scroll through all 623 comments to see if anyone answered your question about the stove top… when you turn the burner knob to the left side it only heats up the small ring on your cooktop. The right side heats up the large ring (and the small one). This allows you to use a bigger or smaller burner as needed. Also the temp (on mine) is LOW all the way to the bottom left or bottom right. If you turn it to the left bottom the small burner will be on low. Right bottom is large burner on low. Hope this helps…

I think that you made the right choice to exchange the massive couch. It was going against the flow of the room. I still have to deck the halls & decorate too although not sure how much I will get done. Whatever you do I'm sure it will turn out lovely. You've been so busy be sure to take time for you.

I just wanted to suggest something to you. I’m a Designer and I Just wanted to say that hiring a Decorator for just a couple of hours would be so worth it for you, and would take away sooo much of your stress as far as decorating. Let her do it and make suggestions for you. She would have chosen just the right furnishings for you and would have saved you the trouble of having to return your sectional. Honestly….it’s sooo worth your time and money.

True about nobody coming when home is clean, only when messy.
Last month I had the flu. So did my husband. Our home was an absolute disaster. And, unexpectedly, one of my sister-in-laws friends came by and walked right in the home (no knocking)….she thought my sil still lived with us. Besides me being shocked someone I didn’t know walked into my home, afterwards I was absolutely embarrassed by the mess. We looked like we never clean and hoarders all at the same time (I’m a reseller so I had a lot of boxes and toys and what not lying around bcs it was a busy sales month)
Your house will be finished when it is. Don't put so much pressure on yourself we love you and the family and we are staying with the Wads.
I live in Newcastle in NSW Australia and Costco is relatively new here and recently opened nearby. They are great if there are heaps in your family but there is just my husband and I and the meat packages, while they are cheap per kilo, come is such large sizes. I have a grocery order each week but like to shop for veg and fruit myself and I find Costco are also too big and do not have everything. Still they are handy for some things. The Philly Cheese is $3.75 AUD here which I thought was expensive but not by your pricing. Love that you validate the kind of mum I was to my three, never seeming to catch up on everything and visitors never come when the house is tidy, clean out a room and they arrive whilst you are in the midst of the biggest mess. Love to you giuys.

Try felt pads on the chair legs (lowes or Home Depot or others stores have them in light colors). Feet will no longer scratch or scuff the beautiful floors you have and if they still wobble, they won’t be noisy. I really love your vlogs.
Yes i was just going to tell Kim this, they have wooden dowel pieces or felt to keep bar stools even n then it wont scratch the floor too , try menards home depot etc

With strawberries if you soak them in vinegar with water(about a 1:1 ratio..I dont really measure) for about 20 mins then rinse them..allow them to dry a bit before putting them in the fridge..they last a bit longer..however if those get eaten pretty fast ..it doesn't matter.
Just something I learned recently that's helped me keep them fresh longer because it stops mold from growing as fast...and also allowing them to drain outside the fridge and dry. I never thought to use Castile soap to rinse the fruit though. I usually just use water with grapes.

Kim I love watching you. You are so real. I love seeing the children. That’s a big house to keep up with but you can do it.
Large family love put in a zip line between trees but its not very high, just enough height on one side to make it go. You are going to love that back yard! Investing in good quality yard equipment keeps giving to each child. Enjoy your time with them, my oldest boys just turned 41 and my third will be 39 in February....time flies by!

LAST year I gave my grand kids there own 3 foot tree for there bedrooms so when they buy presents for family they can put them under was a great hit and surprisingly they didn't remove the decorations from them as they did the big tree in the lounge

When I was first married our Christmas tree was all match match. Whe we started having children we buy them one special decoration each year. I will add a couple of new ones too each year. So now our tree has an eclectic mix of special decorations and I love it so much more than a perfect themed tree.
Maybe a couch and two chairs for the living room? And a nice rug to tie it together ❤

I had the same issue with my cooking range knobs numbers being erased out by cleaning ( several family members use cooker), I had to use a fine marker to try to write at least “H” for high and “ L” for low. However, later discovered you can actually buy decals whatever to replace the temperatures on them! I think it was Amazon- can’t remember was a long while back but you can check in search and see what pops up.
If you put fruit in glass mason jars or all glass tightly sealed bowls it will stay fresh longer. I’m new here and I’m loving your videos so much! You are so real and just crack me up!
I love Christmas trees that are "family trees". All the homemade kid stuff and decorated by the kids. Those are the best.
For the chairs put in levelers with pads for the bottom. It will silence and level them. You should be able to get it on Amazon.
Theres a chocolate cookie recipe for those to. Hot cocoa cookies. They are nice.

Around Christmas time our Aldi here in the U.K does sell a pack of Brussel sprouts for about 0.30 pence. Carrots and parsnips usually too. Hope you get the couch sorted sooner than later. Another great video. Thank you for putting a little happy in our day.
We wanted a 'nice couch' for when we hosted Thanksgiving. Turns out no one wanted to sit inside anyway! lol It all worked out. We will probably get the new couch delivered in May!
Yes I buy more and prep them all for freezing! Saves so much money, we’re lucky how cheap things are in comparison to the us prices
Great vid as usual. One thing I wondered about is why do you keep onions in the fridge?? It's just that we don't here in NZ unless they are cut up... do you haveca trampoline? Brussels sprouts and cauliflower, cabbage, and kale are all brassicas, not root vegetables.....

The stove knobs may be like mine. Turn right and it's the large burners and turning left is the small burners.

Kim, I was where you are now about getting a new tree. I went online checked out the Home shopping network and QVC. I found a tree of my Dreams! A 3 piece, lights already on it, flocked 6' tree! It's so easy to put together, 15 minutes for me, and hardly any fluffing. You just put the bottom of the tree into the base, set it upright in the place you want it. And watch the branches fall into place. Some fluffing first time set up, but a snap the next. And the base is very sturdy! Hang pine-scented things and get this, decide what color of lights and how fast they twinkle. And you don't have to connect the three sections of tree lights together! It's place each section together place the light plug into the wall and use the foot button to see your lighting selections. And the best part was I got to pay it off in 5 payments and it arrived in just over a week from order day! P.S. HSN and QVC have a Clearance section, and sometimes you can find little gems at a reduced price. And still, get it on payments!
You are so relatable, as a mom our lists never end. Dishes, laundry, kids, their activities, Christmas shopping, cooking, etc. I’m exhausted just thinking about it😂
