Actually both denying their feeling because of their friendship before (songhwa rejected by ikjun first and then ikjun rejected by songhwa), so i'm glad that they are going through it now, no more hiding their feeling.

THE LITTLE DETAILS IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL 1. ikjun patiently waited for songhwa to finish her confession instead of the typical 'interrupt a confession with a kiss' cliche 2. songhwa's nervous expression is ON POINT. she's genuinely scared that if she messed this up she might lose her bestfriend 3. the fact that it took place on a rainy night, songhwa's favorite thing i could go on and on and on.. but this is absolute masterful writing, directing, and acting. this drama.. this damn drama
You need to check out the Korean Musical scene! Some of them could put some actors to shame tbh, plus they have killed vocals. Many of them have starred in dramas(Jang Seungjo/Ock Joohyun/Cha Jiyeon/Kim Sohyun/Uhm Kijoon/Yoo Joonsang/Jo Seungwoo/ and the list goes on...) and killed it!

He’s really the master of displaying different emotions simultaneously! When you see his portrayal of Ikjun, you always feel that there’s something deeper in his expressions. It’s all in the details 👍🏻👍🏻

Ikjun's moment of pause before putting his coffee down and giving Songhwa his reply because it's rather unexpected even though he'd been waiting for this for over 20 years and he didn't want to screw it up (and also shows the maturity of a 42-year-old who knows how to be patient and calm about things) One of the 1000000 reasons I love Hospital Playlist is because it portrays mature friendship and love, none of that unrealistic dramatised stuff that'll never happen IRL. I can't relate to 100% of the characters' lives and I know some parts are still too perfect for reality, but the relationships (friends/lovers) are something I can hope/aim to achieve in my actual life. I honestly can't believe it all ends on Thursday!

I am new to K-drama and so far trying to be selective, but HP (watching it just a couple weeks ago) is on the top of my fave, precisely for the reason you stated above. I actually have a similar (but not quite) story with IkSong although it ended differently (that's life but still, what a learning!). Now the bar is set this high, I find it rather difficult to watch other K-dramas. Any suggestions? I am currently watching Prison Playbook fór glimpses of Jung Kyung Ho's acting, but am far from being as much hooked.

This is probably one of the best scenes of this season and I did not expect that it would happen before the finale. I just love how Ikjun respected Songhwa's decision, stayed as her friend, and waited for their relationship to grow naturally. Ikjun just proved that good things come to those who wait!

Even the long SILENCE as the camera slowly closed in felt so worthy, like yes we are getting ready, we are getting ready hoping what we always hope!!!! This scene is really a legendary scene...I can feel Songhwa being worried and embarrassed about her confession and how she's afraid Ikjun's mind would change. Then Ikjun answer it with a kiss. This scene is a package of perfection portrayed by Mido and Jungseok.Their acting is really good.
What makes this scene more meaningful and heartwarming is the fact that they took it slow. Soooo slow it took them 2 seasons to finally let their feelings out. AND HERE WE ARE BAWLING OUR EYES WHILE SMILING EAR TO EAR!!!! This is what I always waited for EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE. HELLLLPPPP
Ik Jun is very patient, holding back all of his emotion while waiting for Song Hwa to finish her speech. But then he’s been that patient with her for the last 22 years.
For me, Songhwa is more patient than Ikjun, she get rejected twice and then Ikjun dating with Go Ara (cameo in season 1) after that, geting married with someone else and have children. Maybe if I were Songhwa, I'd find someone else 😂 but anyway, I'm so glad they end up together!!
They have that very cute chemistry on screen. But cute friendship in real life. The only couple that I don't ship IRL. Not because they are both happily married but I could only see Song hwa and Ik jun on the set but in their camping trip all I could see is Jung seok, Mi do and their friendship. Their character does not stick with them which is nice because you would know how versatile they are.
I think all of our hearts skipped a beat in that second Ik-Jun took to answer. This can’t be the end, we need another season. Can’t wait for the next episode! ❤️🥰

I'm still overwhelmed after i watched this like more than 20 times. Maybe because i watched them being friends (and lowkey flirting) for 23 episodes and was just satisfied with small crumbs of their moments. The scenes where they go to a walk with their coffee, the holding hands, the "I'm hungry, let's eat" and the way they look at each other. I was already satisfied and happy with that but when this scene appeared, i felt like crying. We just got a confession, a kiss, ikjun lowkey fixing songhwa's hair, a gaze at each other and a hug! Who wouldn't feel happy and overwhelmed??

Even after watching this scene for countless times I still find it quite hard to believe that they actually did it! this ladies and gentlemen the right way to write a perfect best friends to lovers story, it’s slow burn but that’s how it should be, the right time came and it’s very satisfying. During this scene, my brother and I were holding our breath the moment Songhwa said “Ikjun-ah” after a minute of silence. I knew she was gonna confess and then she finally said “I like you” and we lost our shit, but then Ikjun kiss her, we jump on our seats lol

A lot of comments saying ikjun is so patient to wait for songhwa but the real truth is HE basically rejected HER twice in their college days! Probably due to his loyalty to seok hyung , then he later got married. To me song hwa has been the patient one and she has tried (maybe that’s why it took her a year to finally confess due to old wounds) . Iksong forever 😭😍.

I am new to K-drama and so far trying to be selective, but HP (watching it just a couple weeks ago) is on the top of my fave, precisely for the reason you stated above. I actually have a similar (but not quite) story with IkSong although it ended differently (that's life but still, what a learning!). For me, Songhwa is more patient than Ikjun, she get rejected twice and then Ikjun dating with Go Ara (cameo in season 1) after that, geting married with someone else and have children. Maybe if I were Songhwa, I'd find someone else 😂 but anyway, I'm so glad they end up together!!
They have that very cute chemistry on screen. But cute friendship in real life. The only couple that I don't ship IRL. Not because they are both happily married but I could only see Song hwa and Ik jun on the set but in their camping trip all I could see is Jung seok, Mi do and their friendship. Their character does not stick with them which is nice because you would know how versatile they are.
I think all of our hearts skipped a beat in that second Ik-Jun took to answer. This can’t be the end, we need another season. Can’t wait for the next episode! ❤️🥰

I'm still overwhelmed after i watched this like more than 20 times. Maybe because i watched them being friends (and lowkey flirting) for 23 episodes and was just satisfied with small crumbs of their moments. The scenes where they go to a walk with their coffee, the holding hands, the "I'm hungry, let's eat" and the way they look at each other. I was already satisfied and happy with that but when this scene appeared, i felt like crying. We just got a confession, a kiss, ikjun lowkey fixing songhwa's hair, a gaze at each other and a hug! Who wouldn't feel happy and overwhelmed??

So true!!! Tbh, I really didn't expect this kiss at all! I mean, I expected Song Hwa will eventually realized her feelings and confessed, but the kiss??? Even after watching this scene for countless times I still find it quite hard to believe that they actually did it! Of course, I'm so happy but at the same time felt the awkwardness because they have been friends for so long! Yet, I'm so glad they kissed or else I don't know when else I can see them kissing, as they can't be like the normal couples doing all the sweet and cringe stuffs~ but they somehow able to make your heart flutter even with the least physical affection. I must admit that I am so happy they are together, and I really can't get enough of both of them that I keep watching all the previous videos for their absolute chemistry. Jeon Mido may be a newbie in the kdrama world but her acting is excellent.
I am certain that the people behind HP will not leave us hanging and will start working on Season 3 already!😍

this ladies and gentlemen the right way to write a perfect best friends to lovers story, it’s slow burn but that’s how it should be, the right time came and it’s very satisfying. During this scene, my brother and I were holding our breath the moment Songhwa said “Ikjun-ah” after a minute of silence. I knew she was gonna confess and then she finally said “I like you” and we lost our shit, but then Ikjun kiss her, we jump on our seats lol

A lot of comments saying ikjun is so patient to wait for songhwa but the real truth is HE basically rejected HER twice in their college days! Probably due to his loyalty to seok hyung , then he later got married. To me song hwa has been the patient one and she has tried (maybe that’s why it took her a year to finally confess due to old wounds) . Iksong forever 😭😍.

This will always be my favourite medical drama. Every character was made perfectly. Their friendship on and offcam was just so satisfying. How I wish I could meet a circle of friends like them. This confession literally is one of a kind.
