First video?! Sir, you did an outstanding job--succinct, clear and uncluttered. The music enhanced rather than distracted from your presentation. I'm just plain amazed.
Hi, I am a retired machinist without all the toys but my std. drill press and this guide will serve me very well making wax duplicates for casting silver. Great video my friend. Clean and simple !
Oh ya, I sub'd ya up too. For a young fella you seem to have the "HANDS" and imagination to gather up this world and make something of it. It's going to be fun(I love the "F" word) to watch you grow. Subbin me back would be an ok thing to do and if ya like silver, c'mon over !
I've held 28.9 in.-Hg but that's all I can do as I'm slightly above sea level but most won't go passed 25 to 26 unless they are at sea level or have a ridiculously strong vacuum pump.
the milling technique is brilliant. maybe i would have used a pouring method to fill the channel, but this is the cleanest building procedure i've ever found around. Great job.
This is the first time I took the time to comment on a youtube video....very well done...lots of detail yet to the point with the length. Gave you a thumbs up and subscribed , also for the first time!
Awesome video. The audio over the video that gives a description as to what you used/did during that step is why I subscribed. If you could just add a link or part # part size to the material your using (I know I’m asking for a lot) it would turn it from great to spectacular! Lol
made one just like yours. I used a router with a acrylic cutting bit (only like 15$). I cut out the acrylic with a circle jig... just a scrape piece of wood. And now i'm at the stage where i put on the silicon. I noticed that you had to cover the holes in the stock pot with silicon!
I can tell you right now, at 2.141 Subscribers, that this channel with this awesome video/production quality is going to blow up very soon! Instantly subscribed! Keep it up! Greetings from Germany
Just Sub'd! Man, if this is your first video, I can't wait to see what content you have coming up! I really like how you gave alternate solutions, for example... it's ok to use a drill press or router if you don't have a mill. The tool tip about not plunging end mills was great too! Keep that kind of helpful content coming! GREAT FIRST VIDEO!!!
Great video Anthony, your skill and knowledge is plain to see. For a first video this one is better than some with years of experience. Your audio and video are top shelf. I'm looking forward to your next videos and I have subscribed so I want have to search for you. God Bless my friend.
i subscribe channels because of a single video very very rarely but this just seemed so professional and well made video that i just decided to smash the subscribe button (in a matter of seconds after seeing this video) and give a thumbs up. (btw it really surprised me that this was your first video) Dude, you really know how to make good yt videos :)
Thank you Havu! It's comments like these that push me to get the next video out as soon as possible! You're awesome and thank you for taking the time to write up a very nice comment :)
i really liked your video style, seems like you are very well equipped, im sure you can do very cool projects!.. looking forward to the next videos and congrats on this first one!
I am obviously too lazy to do this because I have no tools whatsoever.... (And also because I have no idea what the terms you mentioned in this video, but wow! Just this one video made me subscribe. You have amazing camera gear, commentary and content. You have great ideas and i'm proud being a subscriber. All I ask of you is to make a new video please...
Good first video! Informative with clear step by step instructions. My only criticism is that you haven't provided a material list showing what you used such as the type of silicone, resin, where you got the pot etc etc etc etc... (I will definitely be building one of those vacuum chambers though. I hope it doesn't suck to bad.....)
Good one! Tried making one with syringes but not worth the time....You cannot pump to that point by hand. Some day I might try to do one of these...super cool!
Thanks for an excellent video. Seems like a pretty simple thing to put together. I just gotta figure out how to do it with tools I have access to. I've got about 20 vacuum / air compressor motors sitting around. Most with be turned into scrap metal but would like to do something with a few. So I figure the best place to start is a vacuum chamber and pressure chamber. LOL
Anthony, excellent job for your first video! Your craftsmanship is impressive! Maybe you should consider making an "instructable". Im planning on making a vacuum forming table and your video helped explain the vacuum chamber very well. Plan on doing more videos! You got the nak for it!
Thank you so much Blake, for the kind comment! Comments like these inspire me to push out more. I currently have an Instructable I made in the description for more information if you're interested. Stay tuned for the next video in the works.
HI AGAIN. i'm new to the vac chamber. only just bought one and i now realise you only remove the rubber bung on the pressure gauge and not empty the liquid out. i'm sure you would have gave me a reply when you had the time. like your vid and still learned from it. thanks
At 3:45, it looks like there're some blue blobs inside the pot. I assume those blobs ensure that there's no leak around the rivets/bolts that hold the handles to the pot?
Terrific video. I thought it was interesting that you seem more concerned with removing bubbles from the mold material than the resin. I always get voids in the casting material.
Great video, thanks a lot!!! But, is it a problem if i use a 1.5 CFM vacuum pomp , if it is which is the recommended quantity of ''CFM''?? (sorry for the bad English, i'm not familiar with those terms)
Really enjoyable experience. will you please describe the configuration of the vacuum pump used. Its electric motor power, RPM, suction speed and ultimate pressure.thanks
First video?! Sir, you did an outstanding job--succinct, clear and uncluttered. The music enhanced rather than distracted from your presentation. I'm just plain amazed.
Wow thank you so much for the kind words it made my day!
Hi, I am a retired machinist without all the toys but my std. drill press and this guide will serve me very well making wax duplicates for casting silver. Great video my friend. Clean and simple !
Thank you so much for watching and for the feedback! Would love to see those wax duplicates when they're done!
Well thank you! and already done!
All I need now is a pressure cooker pot as I need to de-gas some larger things/ mixes. What kind of - numbers will the pot you show handle ?
I've held 28.9 in.-Hg but that's all I can do as I'm slightly above sea level but most won't go passed 25 to 26 unless they are at sea level or have a ridiculously strong vacuum pump.
One of the easiest vacuum pot ideas I have seen on youtube. Great job on first video
the milling technique is brilliant. maybe i would have used a pouring method to fill the channel, but this is the cleanest building procedure i've ever found around. Great job.

Well done!! I intend on making one myself (using your video as a guide) to make plastic car parts. I thank you !!
Nice job, man. You have a great knack for teaching.
Wow, the quality is great for your first video.I didn’t know that this is your first video until you said it at the end.
hey how do you pronounce that name? got a buddy has same name but only spells it with 10 of whatever that char is...
Wow for a first video this was absolutely amazing

Very nicely done ! Simple . Short, informative, nice sound and lighting! Pleas make more vids !
Your job is very nice and clean and simple. I like it. Can you please tell me how much vacuum can you achieve with this device?
Nice first video! Looking forward to watch what comes next
Thank you Yannis!

God Bless my friend.
Wow thank you Frank I really appreciate that!
great video, just what I needed to know, will be using my pot to impregnate timber with resin for pen blanks
Impressive. I put a filter on the other ball valve so when I open it to releive the vacuum, impurities won't be sucked into the chamber.
i subscribe channels because of a single video very very rarely but this just seemed so professional and well made video that i just decided to smash the subscribe button (in a matter of seconds after seeing this video) and give a thumbs up. You are genius! Superb vacuum chamber.

Nicely done! And as you said, all of this can be done with a drill press too-more accessible to more people.
fantastic video! im looking to build a vacuum chamber for dry storage of my flour and oatmeal. I love this idea.
Thank you Beth!! I would recommend you use food safe silicone instead of automotive gasket maker as it will omit gasses when it's holding a vacuum.
Just ordered my vacuum chamber yesterday. RUclips algorithm is slow! 😊
Awesome video Anthony !!!! Very cool vacuum chamber and the quality of your skills shines through on the video great work I can't wait to see more
Thank you Patrick that means a lot to me =)
i saw you here
Great video! How large a pot can this method be used with? 5gallon? Larger? Thanks
Cool build. I have a couple of old cooking pots. Now, I can do that 👍😎
Good one!
Tried making one with syringes but not worth the time....You cannot pump to that point by hand. Some day I might try to do one of these...super cool!
Thanks for an excellent video. Seems like a pretty simple thing to put together. I just gotta figure out how to do it with tools I have access to. Great tutorial. What was the source of supply for the bulkhead fittings if you remember?
First video.... excellent ! I’m subbed
Instructive video. But where can I get all the hardware and parts you used like the vacuum, fittings and so on? Thanks.

HI AGAIN. i'm new to the vac chamber. only just bought one and i now realise you only remove the rubber bung on the pressure gauge and not empty the liquid out. i'm sure you would have gave me a reply when you had the time. like your vid and still learned from it. thanks
Come on. First video? You did it like pro. I would have guest you had been making videos for quite awhile. Nicely bone!
Thank you Jim you're very kind!
i can't wait to try this out I was wondering if you might know what thickness i would need for an 18" pot?
for the lid
Hi Anthony, great Make! I like your calm narration. this was a very easy to understand video. Thank you, pierre from New Mexcio
Congrats guy. You should make a list of the equipment you used.
Bravo.
Hi Andre,
That's a great idea and huge oversight on my part! Thanks for the idea and thanks for watching!
For your first video your shining bud.
Nice video, well done for first time.
Thank you Gene!
At 3:45, it looks like there're some blue blobs inside the pot. I assume those blobs ensure that there's no leak around the rivets/bolts that hold the handles to the pot?
Good eye and you are correct, I noticed a tiny leak overtime so I just sealed the handle rivets
Thank you... thank you... thank you. Here In Brasil the vacuum machine is very very expensive. You save my live($$$$) hehehe. Thank you so much MR.
Thanks Everton! I love comments like these! I just want to share my knowledge as it may benefit someone as others have done for me.
This is awsome for your first vid. Nice chamber too.
Nice and interesting, thanks. Why don't you also vacuum the resin before pouring ?
Please make more!! Honestly the best project video I've seen in a long time!
Good stuff - Will build one for my projects. Thanks
Love the humor. Great video
Loved how you kept it simple and easy to follow and affordable thanks going to subscribe
Terrific video. I thought it was interesting that you seem more concerned with removing bubbles from the mold material than the resin. I always get voids in the casting material.
this is an awesome tutorial. I am getting a 3d printer and I am looking for a homemade degassing chamber.... awesome work.
subscribed halfway through - keep at it. you have the gift
great, clean, smooth job! I'm planing to build a car engine oil extractor similar to your project.
Thank's John!
Great video, thanks a lot!!! But, is it a problem if i use a 1.5 CFM vacuum pomp , if it is which is the recommended quantity of ''CFM''?? (sorry for the bad English, i'm not familiar with those terms)
Very professional video Anthony. You are going to have a great channel.
Thank you Ted. I really appreciate it man
Really enjoyable experience. will you please describe the configuration of the vacuum pump used. Its electric motor power, RPM, suction speed and ultimate pressure.thanks
Really cool video! Cheers from Outback Australia...
Thank you 🙏🙂
didn't think of the metal pot! thanks for this video! it's very useful!
Good video detailed display of vacum chamber now I can make one thanks
Hello.. can i use acrylic sheet for the top cover of the vacuum chamber? Bcs the polycarbonate sheet is rather expensive and rather hard to get
Totally awesome first video and great job, but l would like the guys to know you can also turn the tip with a lathe
Bold not having a rubber glove over those stitches.
Great sense of humor. Great shop. Great friend.
I'd love to be able to get a vacuum pot like that.
It was hard getting a glove on so I risked it all!! Thank you sir!
I am having a hard time finding the bulkhead adapter you used in the video. A link to that would be amazing!
Awesome job Anthony!! You did a fabulous job on the project and the video. I'm excited to see what you got coming up next!
Thank you Zac I appreciate it! It was great meeting you at maker faire!
Great meeting you too, we'll have to get together soon! I think there's a meetup being planned in the ILTMS group in June or July
For sure!
You have quite the selection of TOOLS. End mill, laser engraver etc...
That's your first video? Oh my, feels professional! Have a great time :3
Excellent video. Very easy to understand and can be done without a mill #jealous...:D Great job!!
Thanks Josh! Just keep saving and a mill will be in your future!!
You sir are going to be GREAT! hell of a video. Guess I will have to check out this Nick Ferry you keep talking about...
Thanks Rich! That means a lot to me buddy! Haha
Rich congrats on your AvE t-shirt
yeah Rich, did you make sure to put your name in the doobly doo?
Very professional! especially for a first time vid!
Thank you Glenn!
Your first video? your production quality was superb! And I never thought of using a cooking pot for the chamber. Good idea.
