  • Measurement uncertainty is one of the most challenging requirements outlined in ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Particularly, labs question:
    • How do we begin the process of estimating measurement uncertainty?
    • Have we identified all significant sources?
    • Did we overestimate or underestimate the magnitude of each contributor?
This course educated participants on the fundamentals of measurement uncertainty analysis, how to organize uncertainty data into an “Uncertainty Budget”, and how to apply measurement uncertainty data to a calibration or test result when making a statement of compliance with a specification.
Part 1 - Measurement Uncertainty Concepts
    - What is Measurement Uncertainty
    - Measurement Uncertainty Sources
    - Limitations in the data defining the measurement
    - Limitations in the capability of the measuring equipment
    - Accounting for Measurement Uncertainty when Making Statements of Conformity
Part 2 - Measurement Uncertainty Calculation Development
    - Measurement Uncertainty requirements related to calibration & testing laboratories
    - Review examples of Measurement Uncertainty estimation for calibration and testing laboratories
    Part 3 - Live Q & A with the Instructor
