Buzzing for next year's Chels kits with the basic lion, but like you say, a one off season would make it even better!

The new Juventus crest is actually super well designed and works for them; feel like nostalgia is blinding a lot of people there…

Im not a Chelsea supporter but my best mate is. And I remember his anger when they first introduced the 'CFC' badge. "Its a Millwall badge!!" was his main complaint. It also didnt help that it was a Bates' scheme and he, understandably, loathed anything to do with Bates.

--> Good video. Do Part 2, please.
--> I'm mostly with you on these badges. However, I think that badges like the Lupeto or the OL are great for special kits, but I prefer the "regular" badge for standard kits.
--> For sure, Arsenal's old badge was much better.
--> No to minimalist Chelsea and Fiorentina.

Tbh I like the current Juventus Badge. The Italians love a bit of typography, so I think it fits the club way better than the old badge which was just a slicker revision of their even older badge.
I was a kid when Chelsea rebranded, I remember hating it. I no longer hate it but I do prefer the cobbeled together look of the old badge. The old badge gives off more personality when compared to the more refined current badge.
The problem with the Arsenal bagde is that is was one of the first of these modinised simplified badges which has been done much better since. The current badge just looks so empty, it has such a poor use of space. Tbh at this point I think they should just have the cannon on the kit because the badge spoils every kit its on, plus i think the cannon is a strong enough identity on its own anyway.
Im sorry but I think both the current and old Florentina badges look pretty beige. They both look unfinished to me.
The current Itally badge is like when you copy a current design to test your attention to detail skills but you just cant put it together properly yet.

Love this concept of video and I'd love you to do a part 2! If you're considering that, here are some quite recent changes just of the top of my head:
Slavia Prague and Liverpool (Badges on the shirt didn't change, however full badges did)
    Sparta Prague
    Aston Villa (Numerous Times :))
    Cercle Brugge
    Brentford
And for national teams Spain, Czech republic, Brazil etc.
(I'm a big Slavia fan so I'd love it if they featured🙂)

While I've only followed football since 2019... I'm American... I came late XD. I love the older badges so much more. A lot of the newer one's just look... corporate. The older one's just have so much more character. The Lupeto is one of my favorites and I'm glad I got a Roma shirt with it. I'd love to see a part 2 to this, it's fun to see how badges have changed over the years, for better and for worse.

I’m really not a fan of the current Inter badge, however since they are no longer with Pirelli and the badge and sponsor changed at the same time it just makes me think this is a new era for the club and it seems appropriate

The futuristic Chelsea lion design reminds me of 1980s to 1990s Peugeot logo. I personally would love to see the CFC with the lion incorporated logo return. Btw the new Fiorentina logo is like they found it in Clipart or something

This may be obvious, but the reason why clubs generally shifted to a more minimalist design was for marketing reasons. As cliched as it may sound, simple really is best in the grand scheme of things; more people are likely to recognize it. For example, the new Arsenal badge is more likely to be noticed whereas the old one looks like something to do with Christmas. But yeah, Fiorentina definitely should've stuck with the old one.
And as a Chelsea fan, I concur that the old CFC badge may be a nostalgic throwback to a previous era but the current design IS Chelsea. It's perfect as it is.💙🦁

Ajax modern badge was made of 11 lines. Much better than the returning one.
Juve, I agree it is a clever design…but it’s awful as a club badge.
Arsenal fan here…hate the new one. Has aged terribly too.
Both Fiorentina badges work for me. I actually like the new one.
Roma…how about the ASR on the badges you showed? That was great too.
Both Chelsea and City new badges work better for me.
Prefer the old Inter badge too. Miss Pirelli too 💙🖤💙
It’s mad that Italy has such an average badge.

As a Napoli fan (like you can’t tell lol) it is my duty to hate Juventus and Inter so I laughed my ass off when they announced that they changed their logos but then it came to us this year but luckily it was just the colour which is a sigh of relief but still sucks as the blue is our identity - our blood - so basically our blood was drained from us. But 2026 will be our centenary and we have consistently heard rumours that the first ever oval logo with the prancing horse will return which we hope as the prancing horse was our first ever mascot instead of the donkey (which was originally used as a mockery after our horrible debut season in 1926/27 which I personally still see it as a mockery instead of pride).
Anyway although I hate Juve and Inter I still do love tradition and style and looking back at their logo history on Football Kit Archive they’re old logos have been very consistent so I’d be infuriated by the change if I were fans of them. (Two of my uncles are Juve and Inter fans respectively and they feel the same way). I feel like the Juve logo would look less bad if they put the Toro “Raging Bull” in the space to the left of the smaller j (the Toro is the symbol of Torino) overall for the four Italian logos you covered I think Juve is the worst and all but Roma should go back to their old logos. Napoli should actually go back to a logo they had in the early 2000s that was the same as the old logo but with the writing “Societa Sportiva Calcio Napoli written in white and in the darker blue outer circle like I did with my fantasy logo in my pfp.
As for everything else I’d go:
Ajax - old (new next year)
Chelsea - new (my second fav club)
Arsenal - old (even though I heard redditors saying it looks like a Christmas sweater. I do see it but I still like it more anyway 😂)
    Man City - old
Italy - old (but specifically the post 2006 one as I just think the sharp edges of it makes it look more fierce and intimidating)
    Lyon - old
As for City and Lyon the old ones just look so unique than the generic overused circle, oval and shields.

Something that I never heard is that the old Juve badge was not good, even ugly for me, it needed a change. I don’t know if the minimalist « J » direction they took was the best, but it’s still an upgrade on the old crest
And also even I like the idea of teams coming back to previous logo, I think that for ex Ajax and Atletico were not the best candidates for that, the more recent logos were actually good redesigns
