When I lived in Alaska I ate so much king crab!!! I grew up in Maine so I naturally love seafood! (My friend and I had a lobster boat in high school) best times of my life! We would drop traps either on the weekend or very early in the morning before the sun was up, go to class and a few days later pull our traps and sell them to the local market and they where cooked hot on the plate the same day at the local restaurants. It was beautiful lol

I lived in Homer Alaska in the early 70s. My mom worked at the cannery out on the spit! We ate king crab all the time along with other awesome Alaskan delicacies. Greatest place in the world to raise kids!❤

I miss being able to have fresh King Crab!! Living in Alaska will spoil you when it comes to catching and eating fresh seafood and any kind of fresh fish!!

Oh I love these two !!! I have one question that king crab loos dead ?? Was it frozen? You have to cook them alive or they let loose something that can kill you . I grew up and am back living in Alaska for the past 6 years . We have the Alaskan king crab. They are so delicious! All you need is melted butter no spices just real butter . It is so good but now days it is So expensive unless you go out and get them yourself oh and so much fun ! 🤩 One leg 260.00 dollars or more unless you know someone! lol but so worth it ! One leg is a meal . They are so big and thick with lots of meat ! Enjoy !
We had very large pots my mom dug the live one in we usually cooked these outside over a hot fire 🔥 They cook very fast ! Shrimp are so good too ! We get some small ones I don’t know what they called them they are almost a sweet tasting . Then the very big ones oh they do good not sweet but so yummy ! Now I want some ! I am going to have to go to Anchorage this week and get some fresh ! So good !
