I attended the special training headed up by Mr Altman at the Channel Islands facility, he ran this type of warm up daily and it was something very special! unfortunately this style of warm up was never adopted by the parent organization so this was my last experience of it. Years later I was able to greet and thank Mr Altman for having the wisdom to try it at the special training telling him many of us there all loved it after a few tries.

Have to say it again after watching repeatedly over many months: BEST Karate warm-up video ever made! This sensei acts like a warm-up is a time to truly respect the body's need to adjust and prepare, and to bring one's whole concentration into the process! Other Shotokan warm-up videos look pretty raggedy and wreckless by comparison--like their sensei just assumes that no one has joint issues and everyone is already as flexible as Bill "Superfoot" Wallace! THIS is a GOOD video!

I want to thank you for producing this warmup video.I was away from Karate or a number of years (various reasons) and at 67 I decided to make my come back. Your warmups have really allowed me to go back to classes 3 to 4 times a week privately without injury. Thank you so much.

In times Office CoVID-19, when we had to close our Dojo in Bern, Switzerland, we sent the link to this excellent video to all our members and to the children. Since we have to stay home, there is plenty of time to excercise. I want to thank you very much for this warm up video. It is very helpful! My best wishes to our friends on the other side of the Atlantic ocean; stay healthy!

Many years ago I was fortunate to study under a real master, this warm up was the exact thing we did and seeing it brought back memories of over 50 years ago. I know what the rest of the class must have been like. LOL...How did I do, well after three years I graduated from college with my white belt and I was very proud of it!!! I was often able to beat many higher levels in local tournaments. I learned one thing that rings true with this art...if you really learn and work you'll find that " it's better to be a good white belt than a poor black belt".....it's a question of your dedication to the art....me, a life long white belt!!!!

I have been bless to train with top instructors from JKS and been on a few seminars in which I part took the role of Uke but I must say this is a wonderful warm up. There are several warm ups but I like how this one focus mainly on the body. My love and support from NJ

Without good warm up, such as shown her, we are restricted in training properly especially if the hip joints are not flexible. We run the risk of using the wrong muscle and injury in trying to compensate!!
