Jared Halverson, you have woken me from a 40 year slumber!!!! Thank you for the last 4-years of the scriptures. I didn’t start until the D&C. It’s changed me!! When we studied the Old Testament I was able to love our Prophet again. Thank you for saving me.

And how better to be sanctified in Jesus Christ?! Thank you for these past many years in teaching us how to study and how to come unto Christ and be sanctified in Him..❤❤❤

Thank you, thank you. My year has been hard, very very hard. Satan has tried hard. "Nope, not happening","I Say." Because of my deep study with you, I've made it to the end of the year stronger, not beat down as Satan and others would have me. I'm closer to my Lord and Savior than ever before. And, Thank you for keeping these extended versions available.

Thank you for helping me liken the Book of Mormon unto me. It is true. This wonderful book testifies loud and clear that Jesus is the Christ. God our Heavenly Father lives and answers prayers. In the margin in Moroni 10 I have recorded President Monson's words from April 2010 General Conference. "The dim light of belief must yield to the noonday sun of revelation."

First timer here today. You inspired me so much to read the Book of Mormon twelve times this year, I subscribed and liked, but I had to stop after an hour to study scriptures. I’ll keep listening if you can shorten these videos. Thank you! Wow! You are a true Saint and a true disciple of Jesus Christ.

I had the experience in my mission, only once, that the spirit guided me to take a copy of the Book of Mormon away from a person.
Each time someone expressed no interest, and refused further discussions, we left the book with them, because you never know when the book itself might become an instrument of future conversion. In this case, there was this man who asked: "If I prayed, and God told me this book was true, would I have to become Mormon?"
We explained to him that, like anyone else, he'd have a choice, but we believed that if God himself told him that what we were showing him was the right way, a believer, like him, would want to follow it.
He placed the book down and said, "Then I dont want to ask."
It turned out that his dream was becoming a pastor, and he had learned that our ministers, including the missionaries, were not paid.
I don't remember the exact words of the exchange at this point, but I remember we confirmed what he had just said, stating something to the effect of "you're telling us that if God himself, told you that this was the way, you'd still want to go a different way?"
    He said yes.
We kindly asked for the Book of Mormon back, and kindly told him that if he ever changed his mind, that he could always hail us, or other missionaries like us, and we'd happily share the gospel with him.
When walking out, my companion and I spoke about it, because it was not the usual practice to take the book back, but we agreed that it was for the better (actually for the lesser condemnation of this young man)
All this to say that yes, there are times when it is not the will of God for someone to receive "these things."

THE WAY I LOOK AT PLAYING THE PIANO IS, I HAVE A NEED TO BEGIN AND CONTINUE TO ASSOCIATE THE NEEDED UNDERSTANDING OF LEARNING AND PRACTICE. SO IT IS WITH FRIENDSHIP, MARRIAGE, TEACHING, LEARNING, GROWING IN THIS LIFE AND CONTINUE IN THE NEXT. SAME WITH LEARNING THE BOOK OF MORMON. SO DIFINE IT, AUTHORS, BELIEFS OF THE AUTHORS, ACTS, A BOOK AMONG BOOKS. SO I HEAR Z NOT CAST OFF, IN TITLE PAGE, ALLIDIBG TO YOU OR ANY BODY ELSE, NOT BEING ABLE TO BELIEVE YOU HAVE SOME WORTH, EVEN WHEN THE DEVIL PERSUADES YOU WITH ALL HIS EVIL CRAFT TO CAUSE YOU TO FEEL YOU HAVE NO INHERENT VALUE AS A CHILD OF GOD.

In Moroni 10:24-26, why can't those who don't work by the power and gifts
of God, and die in their sins because of unbelief, be saved in the kingdom
    of God?

I'm of the opinion that the hissing of the words of the book has to do with the fact that English and Spanish are the most used languages in the Church. Both languages use the hissing sound of the letter S more than most other languages. If you ever concentrated on listening for that sound while a congregation was singing you will be surprised and how much it sounds like a bunch of snakes.

As for so-called archeological support for the Bible, when you really think of it, there is no direct archaeological proof of any of the meaningful truth contained in the Bible (whatever version and even any of the books that were left out). Sure, you can possibly find real world markers here and there for events and persons in the Bible (in my experience, almost all of them are somewhat disputed and some are even highly disputed, but let’s put that aside for now), but think about it, so what?
That is, you can do the same for any work of fiction that takes place in the real world right now. For example, a fictional novel that uses modern day NYC as its setting. The street names, etc. would all be direct hits. Take that novel, bury it in the ground and dust it off 6000 years from now and you will likely have many more real world hits for it than the Bible has. Plus, people 6000 years from now wouldn't know that it was a fictional work necessarily, if a few key pages, etc. went missing.
Further, no matter the physical evidence you might find for the Bible for, for example, Christ, it still won’t prove that He was the Christ. Even if the technology had existed back then to video Christ and all His miracles, and His resurrection, etc., we still could be left thinking, oh, yeah, but that could be staged just like magicians often do, or deep faked, etc.
Moreover, none of the writers in the Bible (as best as we can tell since we don’t have any of the writings as they came from the original authors….we only have copies of copies of copies), instructed belief to be based on archeological evidence. No one was going around proclaiming, “Hey, believe in Noah because here is a piece of the ark for all to see.”
On the other hand, there are instructions on how truth is revealed in the pages of the Bible as we have it today. For example:
Matt 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
Luke 24:32 And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?
John 20:22 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Act 2:2-4 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Acts 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
1 Cor 2:10-14: But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
