¡Qué belleza! Hello, this is the first time I'm watching an English-speaking empollerada explaining how she applied her tembleques. I've making my own polleras since like 30 years, learning from books and videos about how to make tembleques, trensillas, and sewing the blouse and skirt. Yo soy panameña negrita caribeña.
OMG! You look so beautiful! Love the Panamanian traditional dress, the jewelry and all the parts of the head dress! So much goes into this. It is amazing to see how it's done and the end product! We just got back from our check it out tour in Panama in hopes to move there one day and our daughter is in love with this! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much for sharing! I purchased my 1st pollera last week while visiting family in Panama. I'm so excited to wear it soon. Watching your video helped me to know all the names of the items. You look absolutely beautiful!
Awesome!! So glad I could help. You will feel amazing in it... and get ready for all the stares. 😁 Soon I will post a video of a friend who directs a Panamanian dance group explain the jewelry. Stay tuned. 😊
You can order from Panama Stuffs on Facebook. It's run by Maria and lives in Panama and ships worldwide. I'm currently buying my new Pollera through her.
If you have Facebook, you can order it directly from Panama from Maria. Her page is called Panama Stuffs. I would recommend learning more about Panama and the Pollera, the different styles and how to wear it properly with the jewelry and tembleques. I will work on making more videos on this topic. You can always PM me and I'll help you out. 😁🇵🇦
Thanks for sharing. I'm bilingual and proud of my Latin heritage. Unfortunately you'll get disparaging judgy comments from obtuse persons like "lilibeth". Keep doing your wonderful videos in English as well💖

And I have "dreads". I believe anyone can wear a pollera, but especially if you are Panamanian, even if you are Black with Caribbean ancestry.
Thank you for these videos! I didnt have my mom to help me learn how to put these in but because of you i can help my own daughter!❤🎉
