Oh I'd like to see one in person. The MB&F creations look so cool on video and they must be even more incredible in person. Awesome video. Thank you and Art In Time for sharing this.
I am wearing my 1960s hand wound Raketa, while I am watching this, and can enjoy being stunned by this masterpiece and indulge in the elegance of a classic at the same time. Life's good.
I'm wearing my Zenith surf port royal (01.0610.485) from the early 80's and that's usually considered a "weird" watch by my wife... Andrew said "hold my beer" I can't wait for her to wake up and see this lol
@@LawrenceMacMacster My love has only three comments about my watches in her repertoire: - "Looks like your others." - "Looks like my grandpa's watch." - "Is that the one I gave you for your birthday?" I count the Port Royals among Zenith's most pleasing designs, btw. Vous avez du style, Monsieur.
Don't let me touch it. I cracked two sapphire bezels and ripped the crown off a third watch just in the last year. Farer was really cool about the crown by the way.
How do you like your Farer? I came this *holds forefinger one micron away from thumb* to buying one, then saw my enthusiasm die upon learning they outsourced their movements. But, all the same, a handsome line of watches, to be sure.
@@JCDofNYC I have the cushion case small seconds manual wound with the salmon and gray dial and and it is gorgeous. I don't hold it against Farer that the crown stem broke. I don't know what I did but I'm sure I did something to snap it off. I crash a lot of cars too. I also got a used farer 39mm ink blue dialed quartz split second chronograph on ebay and it is the chronograph I wear when I actually really need to time something. The chrono second hand only ticks once a second but it's got a 1/10th dial, rattrapante style double second hand split time and the minute dial is only 30 minutes like a manual so it's readable. It has a screw down crown so its safe for work too.
@@handlesarethelaststrawiquit thank you for your perspective on the brand. They all looked very well crafted, and I particularly liked the color schemes on the dials -- some how they made them look vintage AND contemporary at the same time. I doubt they have any US retailers, and, though I'm sure they would take it back if it really looks awful in my wrist, I just didn't feel like dealing with that possibility. So charging half a million for something that barely looks like a watch is OK, but when Richard Mille does it for a Guiness record breaking watch it's a crime.
I was amazed by the Bugatti Chiron watch. This is so shocking I needed a moment to know how I felt about it. Moved is a good word, but a better expression would be 'blown away'
Can you imagine only listening to this presentation and not actually seeing it? And incredibly, you wouldn't understand it any less than those who have seen it.
The HM9SV didn’t go hard in the paint they went Diamond in the Sherwin Williams, they did it in a jet pack and a smile flexing the entire way. If you are going to spend 350 hours Machining just the case then whatever you put inside better be stunning and they definitely didn’t disappoint, gorgeous watch and thanks for showing it off. CRAZY, just think that one watch is roughly the cost of 5 Nissan GTR Skylines New or old, Equal to 10 fully loaded 3 rows of ventilated and heated seats 2023 Hyundai Palisades or 25 baseline Honda Civics. Wyld
For $ 500,000 you can buy this watch just built for showing off, or you can buy a hospital in a third world country that saves thousands of lives. Think about it.
I'm just coming here from your other channel "Andrew Morgan Watches". I don't think the comments about this watch could be any more different, while saying the same. It is an impressive watch. Now... 2 propellers just because? I don't like that. The watch is bonkers, is crazy, is unnecessary and i love it. 350.hours of machining and many drill bits ruined later... Wow!
Spooky, I'm sure it's able to survive a mustard gas attack. Am I the only one that thinks it looks like a gas mask? It's nicely engineered and sophisticatedly put together but it's still menacing. I'd expect the chime to sound like a air raid siren if it had one.
It is quite possible there has never been an uglier timepiece ever conceived as something thought to be an attractive piece of art. Monstrous no matter how many platitudes you try to smother on top of it.
Oooh, do you think the nice people at Art-In-Time would let you have a look at their Ferdinand Berthoud FB1R.6-1 for us? This series is among my absolute favourite watches, and there's a real paucity of content about them to be found anywhere.
How is 350 hours 10 weeks? Even if you just only count 8 working hours a day for 5 working days a week, you only get to 8.75 weeks. But I would imagine machining something like that to an automated process done by a computer-guided CNC machine of some sort able to run 24 hours a day; Therefore, I could only imagine it taking 350 / 24 = 14.58 days. There must be something I'm missing here
My heart goes to the entire community for Amazons AMA2023P building up something even my grandpa can understand. This is so smart by them to launch it to shatter the doubts and fears of the common folk which is not even correct to begin with. Everyone knows the state of inflation and recession now and the way out is already in progress. Now it's just about catching the big fish

What a masterfully crafted monstrosity.
This is a great description for the Nardin Freak
Check out the Code 41 card watch - its crazy and i want one
Couldn't have said it better. Beautifully hideous.
As insane as it is, it is quite the phallic watch
I comment the same but quite less gracious.
Thank you. I thought the same, complete with spinning testes.
Is that a watch on your wrist or are you just really excited to see me? 😉

I saw it in person at WoS Regent Street last month, and it is crazy in every way - design, finish, wearability, and price!
It reminds me of a ship in a bottle, except the ship is a watch. Absolutely crazy. I love it!
Respect to MB&F and Jacob & CO. for creating these masterpieces; engineering marvels in a Time Capsule.

The Hamilton pocket watch analogy was perfect. I love the machine, the time is just icing on the cake.
I love how during the video you must be like *"don't break it, don't scratch it, for the love of god carefuuuul"*

The shape.. Looks like.. You know.. Nevermind..
Wow. I really love that this kind of art exists even if I will not be able to afford it. Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
This was designed for people who have more money than fashion sense.
I would to see a video about the "Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight Planetarium" watch... it is THE most beautiful watch i have ever seen.
Masterpiece ever. Mb&f is elite. Greatness
It looks like the knob of that Robot from Futurama.
I'll be waiting for the homage by Pagani Design. 🤣

The general shape ressembles af phallos
It's missing the tip, though.

In my school it was all about cars. Everyone was getting a Bugatti lol.
It has a differential? God that's cool. I'd love to see the mechanics of how it works
You could look at it for hours and when you're done, you still don't know what time it is.
going grocery in a V22 Osprey, what an analogy. LOL !!
If you had the money, would you buy something like this or buy more watches that are cheaper? This is an amazing piece of engineering.
