    Omar Khayam is the greatest Persian Poet and perhaps one of the all time greatest of the world.

      @Yousef Ghaneemah You are wrong on all three counts. He was 1) Persian by blood, 2) born into a region dominated by a Persian cultural discourse, and 3) was a citizen of what the Persian locals called their country Iran. Around that time, Persia was independent from Arabs during a period called the Iranian-Intermezzo. Examples of independent Persian states include, but are not limited to Buyid, Samanid, and others.

    Yes, the direction seems a little all over the place, no single clear game-plan. But it's heart is in the right place, and there are many grains of knowledge spread throughout.

    @ 95:07 -The ancient Greeks didn't invent mathematics. Later he distinguishes Greeks from other Europeans. Then he admit others were overlooked and written out if mathematics history... Hmm???

    "He must have been a genius to translate this text.." as he casualy reads it and says," Ooh this ones kinda good."
    such a confusing scene, was that a bit of culteral arrogance i smelt there.....
