If u buy with cash, you're totally on your own here...Is it similar to US homeonwers insureance...fire and flood .. Property damage/theft when you're not there?, etc insurances? property taxes? what are the things you need to know about home ownership in the DR that you might not be aware of if you're a homeowner in US/Canada I'm trying to run a comparison between the DR, Grand Bahama, Roatan
