    Buying a helmet AND an intercom sound like hassle? Sena’s range of lids have the intercom already integrated, and this Outrush-R is their entry-level option. Find out all about it in our review.

    Thx for the video. Just bought the helmet as a special offer for 149€ and for that price I’m pretty happy with it. Ofc it’s not a super high end helmet but atm there is nothing to complain about after two weeks of using it.
    Only the missing pinlock became an issue with the bad weather over here in Hamburg/Germany.

    Whatever happened to Sena’s foray into active noise cancellation?

      Good question. It seems the Momentum models that were released in the U.S. are moving out of the Sena range and there's no word of replacements. I've approached Sena for an update on that and will let you know when I hear back. Cheers, Tony

      As far as I can tell, they're the same except one has H-D branding and is sold through their dealers. Cheers, Tony

    Is it a noisy helmet when doing 100 km/h? Thanks

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Год назад +1

      I didn't find it so, but helmet noise is both subjective (your idea of noisy/quiet will be different to mine) and also depends so much on other factors such as how the wind deflects off your bike. That's why I don't go into noise on these reviews. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

    It's a good enough helmet but it doesn't breathe well and it's noisy. I've definitely outgrown the entry level helmets

    what about how quiet or noisy is it on the highway???

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  4 месяца назад

      I have nothing in my review notes about excessive noise. I think having the unit towards the back of the helmet reduces the amount of turbulence around it. Cheers, Tony

    Can I get a tinted visor for this helmet?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  29 дней назад

      Yes, you can. It's not from Sena, but it's for the MT Storm SV (the helmet mentioned in the video as being the basis for the Outrush-R). The added benefit is this one has Pinlock pins if you want to add an anti-mist insert. Link... www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/502941 Cheers, Tony

    Can You compare this helmet with bell srt?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Год назад +1

      They are two very different helmets. This is a flipfront helmet with a plastic shell, sun visor, a micrometric buckle strap fastener and an integral intercom. The Bell SRT is a sporty helmet with a fibreglass shell, no sun visor, a D-ring strap fastener and no integral intercom. I hope that helps you decide which one is best suited to you. Cheers, Tony

    • @mateuszo6806
      @mateuszo6806 Год назад

      @@sportsbikeshop thanks for answer so the bell is more safety features and sena more extra features BT ect. but safety is lower level than bell right?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  Год назад +2

      In terms of safety, they have both passed the same standard for use on the road. The Bell SRT achieved four stars in the UK SHARP tests, which is very good, but there is no rating for the Sena helmet so it is not possible to make a direct comparison. The main attraction of the Sena is that the flip-up chin means you won't have to take the helmet off to talk to people (fuel stations etc), the strap is easier to do up and you won't need to buy a separate intercom. Lots of riders feel the fixed chinbar on a helmet like the Bell is more secure and they prefer the security from fastening the strap with D-rings. Thanks for getting in touch and I hope it's helping you make a decision. Cheers, Tony

    I realise this is far from being a high-end helmet but it's extremely disappointing that there's no Pinlock or even the option to fit one, especially given that the identical helmet from another supplier DOES have a Pinlock-ready visor.. A poor decision by Sena but I suppose they may view their Outrush R as an entry-level helmet with integral coms for what they consider to be a budget price, but if the helmet was higher up the quality scale (22-06 ?..) and had a Pinlock-ready visor I might be tempted (and would happily pay the extra cost required) but as it stands I'm afraid that personally it's not for me.. I gave the video a 'thumbs-up' but not the helmet.

    I got the helmet because the dealership i bought my bike from threw it into the deal because i didn't have a helmet with me when i bought the bike. Even at the price of free i would return it if i could. The helmet is uncomfortable at best and the electronics are hot garbage.
