Hey Chris. Been a member at Chollas on-off for 25 years. Great airspace, but rollercoaster runway. They finally started working on it last month and good progress has been made. Great flying!
Great video Chris!! Hope to maiden mine soon, would love to see a video on the gyro set up, I could get it to twitch, but couldn’t figure out how to turn in and off with my spektrum radio, so went a different route, thanks for sharing 👊🏼👊🏼
Thanks! It wasn’t too bad, just need to follow the diagram in the instructions to get everything plugged in and then assign the channel the gyro is plugged into to a switch. I won’t work otherwise if it’s not assigned to a switch.
👍Very cool demo - What cameras do you have on the aircraft and what is holding them in place. Thanks - Gary from The Flying Pilgrims RC Club, Michigan ✈
Im itching for a new jet and might get this one simply because no danger of sucking rocks into the inlets. I fly off a steamrolled gravel field but its hell on EDFs and I keep a stock of spare fans.
Hi Chris, for a large jet with gyro, it seems to have some stability issues? I use multi cams and the 360 cam extensively with my flights and understand the trimming needs when mounting on board cams. The empennage was squirming a bit, maybe with the weight of the cam? Looking forward to more flights and in depth review. Thx!
The airplane is super stable, especially with the gyro. What you’re seeing are the surfaces moving around a bit. The wing does have some flex and the weight of the cam on the tail was making it move around more than usual. I tried to stabilize a little more in post which ended up stabilizing the horizon resulting in the airplane shaking more than it actually is.
Thanks for giving chollas rc flyers some love Chris! My home field and where I learned to fly about 30 years ago!
It’s a great spot, but the runway needs some serious work.
@@Thercgeek can't argue with that!

I heard about that, that’s exciting news! That’ll really transform chollas, it was a great space to fly, but yeah that runway was rough, haha
Late to the party on this fun little jet but welcome to the J65 group!
great flight chris. its a great relaxing bird
Thanks!
I think you might be a little big to fit in tgat one Chris! Gotta start somewhere! The J65 is a beautiful model.
I like how you got on board footage too! That’s awesome!
Thanks!
Thanks!
Love this one Chris.....nice job.
Thank you!
Nice flight with the G650 man awesome work. Now you just need the new 700 series that's coming out soon and the baby 400 :) then you will be complete
Great looking design and great flight 👍🏻🍻

Thanks!
I told myself that I’m done buying planes for awhile……that was last month. Although, that is one super cool plane, thanks. 🤦🏻♂️😂
Well, last month was forever ago… 🤣🤣

A jet for stuart little 😂😂 . Great bro!! 🎉🎉
Hey Chris check out the diameter on the exhaust of those nacelles. By my calcs they are nudging over 100% FSA. Easy model to fit some thrust tubes in.
yeah, they are a bit on the large side for sure.
Geek is da biz 👍

I’m just using runcam2’s. They work pretty well and are lower profile than some others which I like.
Thanks for the tip - I been using the GoPro Max & Black Box Mobius Pro Mini. 1/4 scales airplanes. @@Thercgeek
It does really nice scale half power takeoffs. I get so crazy sometimes by retracting the gear right when the wheels break ground
That’s awesome!

It’s a great configuration for that And a really sweet flyer
That’s a pretty model! Now you can walk around in a suit and tie and show off your private business jet!
Haha, totally!
awesome

Hi Chris, What field were you at just out of curiosity?
This was out at the chollas field. Cool airspace, but that runway was rough, haha!
How much does something like this cost with everything included like the remote control and batteries
Cool! I hope one day someone makes the Global Express.
That’s nice looking too. Very similar to the g650
The wing is more complex on a Global express. I can see why they went with the G560. No leading edge flaps to recreate.
Man, that is one rough runway.
Yes it is, haha! Putting those gear to the test. 🤣
Do you mind telling us what type of on board cameras those were?
They are RunCam2’s.
Thank you very much. And I keep up the great work!!
Really cool plane, great job flying too. You have some made skills. Was runway rash noticable?
Thanks! The tip rash isn’t bad, holds up well even with that really rough runway.
@@Thercgeek nice! That run way was rough. Good test for the suspension.
Yeah, testing real good, haha!
With afterburners you'd probably be able to break Mach 1, but you might spill some champagne!
Hahaha, for sure! 🤣
Is anyone using a aileron/rudder mix with this jet? If so, how do you like it?
Did you move?? This looks like coeshow 619 flying site?
While I am moving, we haven’t moved yet. This is the chollas field in south San Diego n
Man, how long is the fuselage?
Fuse length is about 70” (1768mm)
Closest thing to a private jet for me might be 1/18th scale and only if I can make payments .
😆
Almost impossible to land without scraping the wings on the ground.Beautiful model though.
Haha, yeah those tips are pretty low to the ground. The winds weren’t helping. 😬
San diego flying I see off the 94 near chollas lake
Yep, this was at the chollas flying field.

Power is pretty good IMO. It cruises nicely at partial throttle but has good power if you need it.
