Letting the ground eroded a little takes the guesswork out of water management. Reminds me of Frank Loyd Wright building the University of South Florida campus. He didn't install sidewalks until after a few semesters the school was open. Then they installed the walks following the footpaths the students had worn into the ground.
"Cowpaths" is what my university called them. Students tend to walk in arcs as they approach sidewalk intersections and wear down the grass to bare dirt instead of wasting time following the pavement and turning 90 degrees at intersections.
great video. your attention to detail makes you worth every penny you charge your customers. it takes talent and skill to manipulate that equipment the way you do.
You are an artist with that excavator having a multi-segmented arm and a fully articulated bucket. Amazing skills it looks so easy when you're operating the equipment. Ray Stormont
Love watching you work. As you sit in either the 220 or the Yanmar, you look like you're kicked back in a comfy chair watching the scenery and not furiously working. You have such an economy of motion that it's a joy to see. Thanks for sharing the culvert placement. Look forward to the dam work. Thanks for sharing, Chris.
Funny thing about machines breaking down ( if you want to use that term, because there nothing funny haha about it) they only break down when you’re using them and that’s usually when they are needed most. Seems anymore that emissions are causing the bulk of the issues on machines. Nonetheless, the riprap part of this is going to look awesome when you get it done. Thanks for the update sir.
A lot of work and dressing up. All the runoff will know which way to flow. Looks good. Bummer about the skid steer hope in is repaired quickly. Have a good week.
You put a lot of work into that section of road,to combat the drainage problem.should work out nicely.great video.kudos to you sir.just carry on.👍👍👍😎😎😎
no matter the job at hand or the machine you use perfection is all ways up most on the list i am sure your motto is do it right the first time and you only have to do it once you are an inspiration for every one to do it right no matter the job thanks it's a pity i don't do Instagram or what ever you call it so i will just have to weight till you let the Excavator out the bag on here for me to finely know but i am leaning towards the Kobelco machine as you did put the larger bucket back on it but ill just have to weight and see thanks for your videos and taking us along to see what you do so well Cheers
Now you look like you're totally relaxed if you get one of those Southern excavator she looked at the 3:30 you'll have to get a thumb installed cuz with your work you need that
Even'n, Chris. I am watching you creating this intersection at the iron pipe you installed across the road. Being the perfectionist that you are, do you find this tidiest and nerve racking, trying to get it just so, or just an overall part of the work? Anywho, end results for looks and functionality are great to me.
Chris I really enjoyed watching u use the Yanmar! One of my fave machines that u own and operate. I still plan on buying an excavator of my own someday!
Isn’t that swale where the emergency overflow is for the pond? Also I have a job for you to give Geoff have him take compost by buckets in the boat to the island so it can be green too 😂
We all knew he'd end up with that one lol Hyundai ran a "Buy One, Get One Free" sale on their cars less than 15 years ago. Chris already owns a Komatsu dozer, and Komatsu was founded by Meitaro Takeuchi. It was always going to be the Komatsu I thought lol.
It really is a nice skid steer but as much as you use you should buy a larger high pressure to run all attachments and have this as a second or sell…just a thought, peace brother…
I’d plant something in that rip rap along the wall, just has to be shallow rooting and not like wet feet. A plant frogs like to live in would be ideal so the fish get the odd free snack but anything that hides the rock without growing into the pond would do. Just have to chose wisely👍
That’s the difference from someone who can run a machine and one whim can operate a machine that’s what Chris is a certified OPERATOR YES SIR I CAN RUN SOME MACHINES STILL LEARNING BUT OTHERS I CAN OPERATE THEM MY FAVE IS MY JCB COMBO AND THE Komatsu 334 end loader and Dozer
Think it could be rodent damage in the wiring or just bad luck? I had a LOT of issues with rodents on my garden tractors until I got fed up one day and decided to tear them down and added steel armor to all the wiring. No more damage.
Figures the one spot on the property that seems to be eager to turn green is the spot you need to clear up and cover in rip rap...hopefully all the ashes from burning and the composting being planned for will take care of things
Beautiful 💯

Excuse me, but didn’t Frank Lloyd Wright build Florida Southern College in Lakeland Florida?
You are correct…
"Cowpaths" is what my university called them. Students tend to walk in arcs as they approach sidewalk intersections and wear down the grass to bare dirt instead of wasting time following the pavement and turning 90 degrees at intersections.
A university in Florida - what does that do?
'desire paths' up here in Canukistan
Really not a fan of the decision to turn a beautiful forest into a subdivision, but you do incredible work Chris on whatever project you post.
I. ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHRIS 😊
There's a song that comes to mind watching Chris work, 'Smooth Operator' ! 😉👍
Artist at work!!👍🇺🇸
The pond dredger in him couldn’t let that silt at the end of the swale stay.
That is one way of mowing the grass. :) Thank you and have a good day.
What a fun job/business you have.
That’s an awesome tailgate on that truck…
Chris you are such a perfectionist with every job you do Outstanding
A portrait artists uses Brushes ,Chris uses a excavator and smooth bucket in his artistry Functional and is eye appealing
Every time I watch you do something on the mini it makes me think of how much I would be able to get done here on my farm with a machine like that.
great video. your attention to detail makes you worth every penny you charge your customers. it takes talent and skill to manipulate that equipment the way you do.
Just what the Bealygood farm needs, more rocks.
Another great video from the bealygood farm pond bro. Hope the kidsteer is back in action quickly too. Safe travels. Ken.
That is going to turn out to be a gorgeous place when it all gets finished! You have done a helluva job!
26:37 there is a frog jumping for its life ..lol
18 is one hell of a road builder!
Great job 👍
Good engineer
You can tell by those 2 dump trucks, Chris don't fool around with any flunkies. Carry on brother and nice job.
Scammer👆
Strawberry shortcake is certainly holding her own, great job.
C'est quand même un sacré beau chantier chez les bealy.
Le site est sublime
Un boulot magnifique bravo Chris

I was literally thinking the exact same - the Tiffany of the Takeuchi , the Escher of the Excavator, the Yeats of the Yanmar.

Great job on fitting the pipe on the edge and putting the rocks to stop wash outs
Watching Chris dig that ground makes me glad you never had to dig it out by hand - it looks really gnarly stuff.
I hope you share a video of this location in a year or so, would enjoy seeing the resutls, keep up the great work!
Always some fine tuning to do in regards to drainage😊
Digging that swale down so the water would backflow increased the shoreline of the pond by 20 feet.
Let lose on the job you do a wonderful job Chris you always seem to know what to do love watching what you do thanks.
Another good days work Chris...again great video...Stay safe
The Yanmar has such a pleasing, relaxing droning sound. I think I could use it as a sleepscape noise :-)
Good afternoon nice video. looks like you did pretty good. have a safe ride home
Job well done 👍🏻

Great day apart from a certain skidsteer not quite doing the best. Hope that's not too crazy expensive to fix. Looking good out there Chris. Be well.😉
Burns went well drainage management is sometimes a pain but you are getting it under control great job great video thanks Chris
It just keeps looking better anf better. The rio rap looks great on the edges and the swell. Geoff will thank you many times.
Awesome Job!!
Thanks to these modern machines, people save time and effort
Enjoyed watching the video Chris 😊
Nice work. Neat lines and care taken with this. Pity about the skid steer.
Great work as usual. Devil is in the detail. Thanks for sharing.
Good job Chris
It’s really beginning to look like a Park. Nice work!
Have a look at adding Gypsum to the soil there, it might help with the compaction. In Australia they call it clay breaker.
A lot of work and dressing up. All the runoff will know which way to flow. Looks good. Bummer about the skid steer hope in is repaired quickly. Have a good week.

You do such an amazing job placing that rip-rap always look so neat! Awesome!!
Have you noticed equipment rarely ever breaks down at the shop?🙄Only when you really need it!
Brilliant
Great video mate! Looks like a great place to set up for the day! 👍
thanks for the super clear images
Nice looks great 👍🏻🇺🇸
Man that place is looking so good. Your the man Chris and love the Bealy Goods to.
I thought that tan truck was your uncle’s truck until I noticed it had the new style tailgate that raises up instead of the barn door
one thing about it. you know how to build a road.
24:50 - Watch out, Geoff is sneaking up on you.....
Out west here in Utah we call that pottery!
Now you look like you're totally relaxed if you get one of those Southern excavator she looked at the 3:30 you'll have to get a thumb installed cuz with your work you need that
Congrats on the new komatsu excavator she's a big girl

Gotta be following along on Instagram, and you will know which excavator Chris purchased!! She’s a beaut Clark!!
Do you know what size the machine is? I couldn’t tell from the pic.

Should have used your dredge for that silt😎

Love your videos!
Looks a lot better
boy the camera sure picked up the reverse beeper
Nice going, Chris
very nice

Glad you could get this work done Geoff, before rip-rap goes to a million bucks a ton..
Is that the new Coast Guard Station? LOL
did septic and drainage work for 40 years, nothing more satisfying than repairing a failed septic system or fixing a drainage problem

Yay. I was away so I missed seeing this go in 😂
I really like the rock you used in the swale. How does the quarry categorize or size it? Will it work well on a slope and what fabric do you use?
Special video 😊😊😊😊
Awesome pipe and rip rap.
@2:00 you sure can tell the difference between the B horizon and the C horizon, or topsoil and subsoil.
