After 25 years in law enforcement, the woods and my jeep is my place to relax. I have suffered through PTSD and depression but the mountains brings me back to center.
Likewise. Having countless things that I wish that I could unsee, and routinely re-live on a daily basis, I find myself thinking about that stuff far less when I'm out in the Jeep. That's a large part of the how and why that I started the channel. Learning the rudimentary basics of videography and editing gave me something else to concentrate on. Ironically, my former agency actually tries to use the content on here as "proof" that I can't possibly be hurt, despite being hit by a car on a traffic stop and having two diagnosed bulging discs in my back from it.
Been a LEO for 13 years myself. Currently a homicide detective. Unless you do the job, you’ll ever understand the person you have to become to take it on. Everything… the sights, the smells, the sounds, the living in a constant mode of readiness… again, unless you know, you don’t know. I lost my 3rd friend to the job back in 2018…. My wife couldn’t take it anymore. I left, took a job with a very large corporation making 3x the salary… but something was missing. Ended up leaving a 200k a year job to go back to just over half of that. Never became a cop for the money… I did it because my military career was cut way short and I felt as if I was still “of use” to society. Looking back, I have no regrets… but at the same time… I have a ton. Hard to explain. Be safe brother. Wish you well in your recovery. We’ve got watch now. Enjoy life and continue doing what you love. Hopefully in the next 12 years… I can live my life doing what you’re doing now.
Thank you for the kind words! I saw your previous comment, but I had to delete the entire video and re-upload it. Found an editing error before I made it public! Thanks again!
The Georgia trails really provide some beautiful scenery and great trails. As a introvert myself i do enjoy some company especially with good like minded folks but also cherish my solitude just to enjoy my space alone. Great video...thank you for sharing.
Nice job on the video, Will. An excellent production, as always. Interestingly, when I drove the Georgia Traverse, that was a year for me to run into fallen trees, including one on it. But you may remember, all I had was a folding saw, Fortunately, while it was tall, it was also a small diameter tree. I still carry that folding saw in the Wrangler, but have upgraded in the Gladiator: I now carry a bow saw in it. :-)
I totally get how being around others wears you out as an introvert. I do like being around others who share my hobbies/passions but there’s a limit as to how much of that I can take before I need my alone time. 👍

This was absolutely amazing...one of your best videos so far. Thanks for letting me be one of the first to see it.
Thanks for the kind words. It didn't come out half bad. I appreciate you taking the time to watch it all the way through!
it was a great series. i loved seeing both of you guys versions of it.
Thanks! Matt's version of it is amazing!
I enjoyed this series so much! Great job! All that water must have been a lot of fun :)
I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for taking the time to watch it all. Eventually I'm going to release the traverse series as one full-length video
The video is fantastic! The lush green trees along the way are so refreshing to see. I really enjoy watching your videos!🥰😎
Thanks for the kind words! It was quite the sight out there!
That looks like so much fun. I would have had a blast with all of that water!
We did! All of the water definitely made the day more fun. Thanks for watching!

Thank you for the kind words. The future isn't yet set in stone for me, so we'll see what pans out over the next several months.
Be safe out there!
This video was truly amazing. The scenery was spectacular, and your camera work was on point.
Thank you. It wasn't all me though, some of the shots (probably the best ones!) were shot by Matt from Simply Must Go.
One of these days I'm gonna get down there.
Dooooo it!
Great video series. All the videos are great.

@DefiantOffroad Yeah I saw the notification for the video and was like, wait a minute, didn't I already watch this? Have a great day.

North Georgia is spectacular! Thank you so much for the kind words!
@@DefiantOffroad 🤜🤛
I enjoyed this a lot. Production on this one was really good. It looked like a lot of fun when it was raining!
Thanks! It was a lot of fun!
The whole series was great! good job!
Thanks for watching it!

Thanks Mark! One of these days I'll pack a chainsaw. Although, in my defense, we worked out who was bringing the saw before the trip 🤣

Exactly! It's great being around great people, but then it's time to recharge the batteries.
It looks epic out there! The video is outstanding!
Thanks! It was a great time, and north Georgia is simply amazing!
Such a relaxing and helpful video! It looks like a portable chainsaw needs to be added to the adventure essentials list. LOL!🤭
Thanks! I always find excuses to not pack a chainsaw for trips. Fortunately, Matt had already said he was bringing his.
Great video, even though it was all jeeps 😂😂😂
Thanks!
Did you guys do the entire route? How much time were you on pavement? Great series, by the way!
Thanks! We skipped part of the western section since it's largely paved. I'd say we were off pavement for 75% of the time.
